Big thank you to Todd with Alcatraz Locksmith! I managed to lock myself and my daughter out of our house one morning on our way to school! Anyone with a key was more than 45 minutes away. I remember seeing a van for Alcatraz not far from my home so I reached out! Todd was amazing! He was able to respond right away even though it was early. He worked and got us back the house in no time. He even made us a backup key so I hopefully won't do it again! His prices were also way more reasonable then I expected for a mobile service. I will 100% be calling Alcatraz Locksmith for any needs in the future but hopefully not at such an early time of day! read more

Todd is, by far, the best locksmith I've met. He is one of the most personable people I've had the pleasure of meeting. I needed a couple of car keys made and unfortunately my schedule was a little unpredictable, and he was more than willing to work with me to make sure I got what I needed. He made the keys in just a few quick minutes and his price was way more than fair! I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a locksmith! read more

Todd was awesome! I had called someone else on YELP who referred me to Todd. Todd was so responsive, showed up when he said he would and communicated in between and most of all had notes on what he quoted me and charged me exactly what he quoted. I will be using him for whenever I need a locksmith and I have already told all my friends that if they need a locksmith, that he is the guy to go to. Customer service is so important to me in this day and age and it just seems to be lost. Todd is someone who prides himself on running his business with integrity and putting his customers first. His phone rings off the hook and I heard him on the phone treating every customer exactly the same - with honestly and respect and kindness. read more

Todd!!! What a heck of a great guy! Any person that has a key, so everyone, I tell to contact him! His expertise of being a locksmith, is a very clear testimony of truly being a master of his trade! And on top of that, exceeds in customer service! Not to mention he is genuinely honest, fair, kind and no bullshit! Anyone who needs a A+ locksmith! Alcatraz Locksmith is your place! read more

If you know about BMW cars; then you know about locksmiths. Read on my friends, this is the best you can get. Found Alcatraz Locksmith online; described my BMW nightmare. Made appointment for Sat. 2/20/16 for 2 new blank key-fobs(Amazon) with internal circuit board + remote chip board inside the fobs. This locksmith has probably $10 - 20K in equipment for any job. My BMW keys were mated to the original key fob and electronically cut in one of his machines. Then, the on-board chip hardware in the BMW was removed, re-programmed to the new keys, and re-installed. After that, the remote door locks were reset to the new fobs. My appointment was at his residence and well worth it. There's no Israeli Mossad agents coming to your house to re-key your wife; and God knows what else. :) Simply superb expert skill and knowledge for the most complicated lock matters. read more

Todd was extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and trustworthy. He came out and fixed my home lock issues in a matter of no time. I read a post that gave him a 1 Star and was disappointed. He is busy for a reason, he's good, be patient and it will be worth the wait. I recommend him for any locksmith needs, and I also found that he responds to texts as well. read more

My husband and I had Todd come to our home today to change our locks and he was WONDERFUL!! If I could give him 10 stars I would. He was early which was great and he worked quickly. He was so very friendly and knowledgeable. It is obvious that Todd truly cares about the service he provides and always wants to satisfy his customers. He was wonderful. We have found our favorite locksmith. Thank you Todd!!! read more

My 2013 Ford Focus key disappeared in Scottsdale this weekend and after a futile search for it, went on a hunt for a locksmith to come rekey it. I called Todd in an attempt to save a few $$ from the extensive list of locksmith's that the rental company provided and he told me that he would be the one of the few in the area that would have the correct equipment to replace a key like that. He was right. After calling every single locksmith on the list, most of whom guaranteed they could do it and could not, Todd came out and made the key. Even though it was an expensive, annoying inconvenience to have to get a new key, Todd's humor and expertise made a crappy situation, so much better and had a key made for me in no time. He also worked with my schedule as I had to get the rental back to California that evening. I highly recommend Alcatraz Locksmith if you ever need keys! Todd is awesome! read more

I had a awesome experience with Todd from Alcatraz locksmith; he diagnosed my issues with my Tacoma and was right on the money . He knows his stuff and he's very quick . I highly recommended him and by the way he's a comedian; he's a great guy! Thank you Todd! read more

You won't find a better guy or service than with Todd. Reached out thru text because we lost our car keys while traveling. Even though Todd had a scheduling conflict he went out of his way to help me find someone who could would be able to help us. This is no easy job. And it was time consuming. But he found someone and coordinated everything. What's even crazier, he expected nothing in return! Truly a godsend in what could've been a horrible beginning to our holidays. read more

Spent the time and effort to get the keys made without doing any damage to the ignition on my Victory, which has super hard locks to rekey. Very reasonable on price and very personable guy. Thanks again sir! Everyone, bring any lock issues to this man. You will not be disappointed!!!!!!! read more

Todd came out. Total Rockstar. Funny. Got my BMW going. Even Jumpstart for me to get it to shop. He goes above and beyond. Great company.

I brought in an old twisted/bent motorcycle key from 2001. Todd was able to straighten it out and duplicate it in seconds. The new key works flawlessly and turns in the ignition now. Great service, friendly, down to earth locksmith, and very inexpensive. I'll be coming back here from now on. read more

Highly recommended using Alcatraz for anything! Todd knows what he's doing and is able to get the job done quick!

Todd, the owner of Alcatraz family owned business, long long time Arizona resident is simply the best in his business, He's sort of like the uncle you always loved and was there to help you, that kind of man. To put it forthright, I've been in the valley for 50 some plus years, and my experiences with the locksmith industry are most of them, not all mind you most, treat you as if they have the last gallon of water and you are wondering Aimlessly in the Sahara desert in search of it, and they triple the price, not the case with Todd, Walmart pricing with Costco Quality. I have reached out to Todd four times in the last six months, and he only charged me once, and the three other times he walked me through my challenges on the phone, referred me to the Internet for one thing, and then I locked my keys in the car he was too far away to come out, fortunately for me he talked me through it, I was able to open the car on my own no charge, you just won't go wrong with this man, And his entire staff at Alcatraz locksmith. Thanks Todd- Scott J read more

I needed a key recut for a lost key for my car the guy was a perfect gentleman. charged me a reasonable price. I see other reviews on here saying that he was rude. He answered the phone Stern and short but quickly turn into a very nice guy. Even cut me a second key for only $5 .very professional I would recommend him to anybody. read more

I have used Alcatraz in the past for locksmith services and have found them to be very professional and reasonable in their services. Always prompt and courteous. Today I had the pleasure of meeting Craig at the residential job site to re-key 14 locks. Not only was the service fast, professional and expertly accomplished, but Craig offered to help with 2 "minor" door adjustments. I didn't think they were minor, but Craig insisted to do that for me as long he was there--no added charge. Why call anyone else when you get quality, professional and courteous service with great competitive prices?? Thanks Craig for a great job read more

Todd is amazing! I'm in California, I had a truck driver in Phoenix, locked out of his truck with his phone and keys inside. I called one company, it was going to be two hours before they could get there, and they recommended Todd. I called him and he said he could be there in an hour. Yay! Todd kept me apprised the whole way, until he found my driver on the side of the road and got him back into his truck and on the road to finish his deliveries. And, he was back in California early enough so he can make his deliveries tomorrow too. Anyone who has customers counting on them knows how important this is. And Todd has a great sense of humor! Thanks for everything!!! read more

Tod needs training on customer service on the phone. I called to see if could do a key for my car. It's apparent he doesn't need more customers. His rude non-caring manner convinced me I did not need him solving my problem. My key needs would have been worth 200-300 read more

We'll prob have to wait a week before we can talk to anyone at Alcatraz now- after all the great reviews- but they really do deserve it. We've used Alcatraz Locksmith for YEARS & they are the BEST. They always bill us (we have rentals) & they're so nice. They've had every right to be jerks about taking so long to pay them, but they've always been really nice. read more

Todd got me hooked up right away and Craig Chase did an excellent job!!!! Thanks so much guys. Great service!!!

great job ricardo what a great service awesome price done on time

Professionals who are polite and prompt. They provide a fair price and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is in a bind.

Highly recommended. Todd came out and fixed our safe after ordering the parts he needed. He's polite, funny, and great at his job. Busy guy, but made it a point to fit us into his schedule while working around ours. read more

I had used this locksmith awhile ago, and just realized I never wrote a review for the amazing service. I had lost a key to an 05 VW new Beetle. Going through the VW Dealership is a HUGE hassle and cost....around $350 +, that's not even including having to tow the car to the dealership. I had called Alcatraz Locksmith, and they were able to easily come to me and make me a new key in waaay under an hour, for under 250$...actually...I think it was under 200! Amazing!!!!!!!! I most definitely recommend! read more

I woke up on July 4, 2012 and saw that it was raining. I walked outside my condo to check out the rain in a shirt and basketball shorts with no shoes. I turn around to go back inside and my front door is locked. I checked my windows and sliding glass door and everything was locked. Started to panic not only due to the fact that it's raining and I have no shoes on but it's 4th of July and I didn't think anyone was open. I googled phoenix locksmith and came across Alcatraz. Gave them a call and within minutes Todd was at my condo with his tools and got me back into my house. Not only was he funny but had great customer service. Hopefully I never have another situation where I get locked out (he also made me 2 free sets of keys, front door & security door), but if I do I know who to call. I highly recommend Todd and will refer him to anyone who might need his services. Thanks again Todd! read more

Lost my car keys. Needed a new key programed. They told me over the phone how to do it and said if it didn't work they would show up and take care of me. Awesome people got me through a streak of bad luck. Thank you Alcatraz! read more

I am leasing a 2010 Scion xB and returning it soon since the end of my lease term is nearing. I had lost one of my two keys to the vehicle, which includes an all in one key/key-fob. Knowing that I had to have both keys when I returned the vehicle at the conclusion of the lease, I checked with a dealership on how much it would cost to acquire and program a replacement key. Needless to say, the price quoted was excessive (over $200). So, I began to look at more affordable alternatives. I was able to locate a key/key-fob via Ebay, but wasn't sure if I should proceed. After calling a few auto locksmiths, I spoke with Todd at Alcatraz. I could tell he was a busy man who got lots of "locksmith" inquiry calls, so I didn't want to waste his time. However, he did take the time with me on the phone suggesting how to make sure I purchase the correct key, etc. He provided this info while knowing I could possibly go to another locksmith after I bought the key to get it cut and programmed. That in itself is good customer service! Another locksmith or two didn't provide nearly as much information (or were simply hard to understand). With the info Todd provided, I ordered the key, which came a few days later. Then I called Todd back to make an appointment. He met me on a Saturday late morning and cut/programmed the key in less than 15 minutes. He even found a flaw with the key I bought and fixed it. Plus, he did this at a wonderful price, saving me easily over $100 (if not more). I couldn't have been more pleased and highly recommend Alcatraz Locksmith. One other note which shows that this locksmith is a reputable one... Todd had fielded a call which he was completing upon my arrival to meet with him. While not going into details, I'll simply say that Todd was honest and forthright with whomever he was talking to, providing them advise on where to go for service for their particular auto issue as their request was outside the scope/reach of his services. Hearing such advice and honesty is refreshing. read more

This is my first time using Alcatraz and if I ever need a locksmith again, I will be calling Alcatraz. Joshua was extremely courteous and professional, he addressed all my concerns and was very knowledgeable. I called them about 3pm and they were here and gone by 430pm. Im impressed to say the least. If all businesses operated in this fashion, the world would be a better place. Thanks Alcatraz! read more
