Todd was great throughout the whole process. Excellent communication on when he would arrive and great explanation of the best course of action to take to get a whole house rekeyed. read more

I locked myself out of the house on accident. Todd was great about coming out right away to help me it. Very friendly and professional.

Tom came out today to fix my Honda Prelude, which is a very technical car when it comes to writing new keys to the immobilizer unit. With thousands of dollars in equipment invested, he was able to fix my problem in just under 30 minutes. I'm very happy with my brand new keys, and my overall experience with Alcatraz Locksmith. I called every other locksmith and they said that I would need to have the dealer handle my situation but Tom gave me a better solution, Alcatraz Locksmith is #1. Thanks guys! read more

What a great company! I had a problem with my front door lock, called them, they responded within an hour! How often does that happen? Craig, the technician they sent was great. Professional, friendly, efficient, clean and even played with my very shy dog. Oh, and he fixed my lock! I couldn't have had a better experience and would recommend them highly. read more

Called for front door deadbolt replacement and received excellent service that is hard to come by today. Highly recommended!!

Why five stars? I have given five stars because Alcatraz turned out to be the best guys for me to call. I spoke with the owner via phone who sent his guy Jim to my location. Talk about expert? I saw the genius at work with my own eyes. For starters I locked my entire key in the trunk of my Mercedes and could not get to it even with the assistance of AAA. After it was all said and done, I had a new key in addition to the key he retrieved in the trunk all without damage to my car or a changed lock. Jim was down-to-earth and one of those types of people that make you glad you did business with. Major kudos guys. We are back up and running. read more

Tod saved the day and saved me hundreds if dollars. Excellent service in as timely manner! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

I have used Todd on at least a dozen occasions. I am a property investor and I buy multiple homes. I need Todd for EVERY house I do and he is ALWAYS there for me. He even got me into my own car once. At the drop of a hat, he is there for me. His knowledge is excellent, his demeanor is fantastic and his service and workmanship is excellent. I would NEVER use another locksmith unless he was dead or out of town. In which case I would probably ask him to come home. :) Use this guy. Hes great. read more

I was very pleased with Todd's response to my call that we needed a home re-keyed NOW! He was there withing an hour or two and got it handled for us. I would highly recommend Todd and Alcatraz Lock and Key . read more

Todd was a stand up dude. Very friendly, and efficient. The dealership quoted me for a sensor key at $800. His price was $170. Cheaper than the locksmith that triple A referred as well. read more

I was referred to Todd at Alcatraz from A 1 Key Service. He was very friendly, professional, and courteous. He came out and made me a new chip key for HALF the price of what my insurance quoted me. He also cut me a 2nd non-chipped key for free in case I lock my other keys in my car. The entire job took him less than 30 minutes. I will definitely be recommending Alcatraz to friends in need of a locksmith. read more

Great service. Todd went out of his way to make sure I got a new key-chip made for my car last minute.

There is a reason why Todd has such a great rating on Yelp! I recently locked my keys in my car on my way to school. My husband found Alcatraz and told me to call. Todd was very quick, kind, helpful, and funny. I felt foolish and was worried I'd miss class. He put me at ease and handled everything so efficiently that I ended up only being a few minutes late. On top of that, he made me a spare key at no extra charge and gave me great information about getting a new fob programmed in the future. No one hopes to need a locksmith regularly, but if I ever need one again, I won't hesitate to give Todd more business. read more

I called Alcatraz Locksmith from Pismo Beach, California and spoke immediately to Todd, who I assume is the owner. I explained that my daughter recently purchased a new home near Phoenix and needed to have 8 doors re-keyed. Todd was extremely accommodating and polite whereby he immediately dispatched a service rep named Craig to change out the tumblers. Craig was very competent and my daughter was very pleased with his work ethic. The price quoted by Todd was very reasonable (at least compared to California rates!). My whole transaction took place over the phone including payment by credit card. Locksmiths are not something that you use that often but it's nice to know that Alcatraz if available if needed and will provide quality service. Highly recommended! read more

I needed a key for my 350Z and the dealership wanted over $200!! I met Todd at his home on a Saturday and he fixed me up for a whole lot less. He also copied my safe key that was almost bent in half Got it home and it worked great! He did a great job and I highly recommend him for any locksmith work you may have. read more

I received great service from Todd at Alcatraz. I lost my keys to my apartment and my car. I was referred to Todd by a friend and he made his way to my place very quickly. I was not expecting that fast of a service on a Sunday. He was very helpful and professional. I was able to get a new key to my car and access to my apartment in less than an hour. I would highly recommend Alcatraz's services. read more

We called Alcatraz after getting a $600 quote from 24/7 locksmith- Alcatraz was $185- he is helpful, friendly and very reasonable.

Just WOW! Todd KNOWS his stuff. Speed, quality and price? Who says you can't get all three? Oh and throw in an after hours service call because he could not fit me in during the day. Just phenomenal. Easy 5 star rating. Deserves more. read more

It's a Saturday, and the lock to my house wont open. I called Alcatraz who was open. They arrived 30 minutes early, and quickly fix my problem, for what I consider a reasonable rate. I recommend this company for on-call situations, and I am very satisfied. read more

So my front door handle finally died yesterday. I called Alcatraz because I used them a few months ago. Todd was right on it. He asked me to text pictures, made recommendations, and installed the new handle this morning. Genuinely good people who care. I'll call them again if needed. The only caveat? Be clear if you're tight on time, as they can be so busy they're often a few minutes behind their own schedule. But otherwise, honest, professional, and caring. Highly recommended. read more

I had one of the worst days I've had in a while when I lost my keys with my one and only car key on the ring. I had called a locksmith I found on Nextdoor, who referred me to another locksmith, who referred me to another locksmith and it felt like I was being given the runaround, leaving me unsure of what I should do. I asked around my circle of family and friends for recommendations, rather than take the word of a chain of people I didn't know and I'm glad I did because that's how I came across Todd with Alcatraz Locksmith. Todd was immediately responsive, quoted me a price within minutes, and came out to where my car was stuck at home in no time. He arrived and got right to work and I checked in and chatted with him for a bit too and the list of great qualities just kept growing, as I learned what a personable and standup guy he is. If you're like me and feeling lost after losing your keys, wondering what you should do, I hope you find this review and give Todd a call, because I know you won't regret it. Thanks Todd! read more

I had them come out to my house to make and program a new transponder key for my car. They came an hour later than afternoon. He was friendly and professional, and later I found out he was the owner. He was very personable and funny, and he seems to be a really good guy! I called many other places before trying them and they were the cheapest by far. He was also very quick. He was done in less than 30 minutes and would have been done faster if we didn't have to wait for my car battery to charge. I can't say enough how helpful he was! read more

I was very bummed about having my wallet and key stolen. Todd@Alcatraz came out and re-keyed my locks in just a few minutes, working around my schedule. I appreciated their AAA+++ service. read more

I cannot imagine better customer service! Today I thought we were going to need to rekey a house due to a misplaced key. Todd answered the phone right away and make sure there was immediate availability to come and help us out. I was almost on the verge of a panic attack on the phone with him but he calmly explained the process and told me that these things happen all the time, and not to worry about it. The pricing is affordable and definitely fair. Luckily we found the key and had to cancel our appointment. I expected there to be some kind of fee since we help up so much of his time. Instead, he just said, "Think of us next time if you need help." I am so impressed by this business and I felt very comfortable dealing with them. I will definitely be calling them anytime I need help with house locks or if I lock my keys in my car. read more

Awesome experience, very friendly knowledgable owner. I took my 2001 Ford Focus to him and it needed the keys reporgrammed ($120 at a dealership) and no one else I called had the correct equipment. He was friendly and cordial even though it was super hot out and our ignition had been duct taped up so we could still drive the car without the reprogrammed keys. It was $75 for everything and I was really happy and relieved we brought the car to him, he did a great job. If I ever need anything in the future I've got a guy! read more

We had a wonderful experience with Alcatraz, The price and time quoted on the phone was exactly what happened. I will definitely use again!

So we just bought a new house. When we got the key...one key, for front door only, we decided to be safe and rekey the house. Called around. These guy are very reasonable in price. They where actually able to come very quickly. Five locks later, four new keys, very pleased, and safer feeling customer! Thanks Alcatraz! read more

Todd is the real deal. Professional and great customer service! He re-keyed my lost truck keys and even programmed me a new alarm remote.

Todd said, "if you come to me I'll save you a service call." How cool is that! So, I drove up to the north side of town, on a Saturday no less, and a half hour later left with a reprogrammed luxury group module and a new key on my '05 Jeep Grand Cherokee--and all for a fantastic price. I would tell you what the Jeep dealer was asking for the same job, but you wouldn't believe me. read more

Todd was very friendly, professional and reasonably priced. He fixed my lock in no time. I will definitely hire him again!! Thank you Todd

The casing of my Honda accord key broke, so I bought an aftermarket on amazon - and being a noob - threw the old case in the trash along with the chip. Todd came in as promised. Courteous, professional, and has more than enough gear to break into Alcatraz.lol. After 10 minutes, my car was gifted with a programmed chip. I felt like I was getting so much more than he quoted, I chipped in a little extra. read more

I could not even get a call back or return email. Maybe they didn't want the job. Would be nice to at least hear that.

Todd helped talk me through fixing my locked steering column over the phone and was greatly helpful by saving me the trouble and hassle of waiting for a locksmith to come out. I'm so grateful and would definitely recommend! read more

Todd was timely and friendly. He came out and made a key for an existing lock that a different locksmith said couldn't be done. Reasonably priced as well. read more

What can I say, Todd is great. I bought a vehicle (Hummer H3) that was sans Key Fobs. I ordered some replacements as well as a factory key blank, but found out I couldn't program the fobs without the use of a special GM Scan Tool. The dealer would have charged over $100 and took hours to get me out, but one call to Todd, and he got me set up within a matter of minutes. Literally. To boot, I was in a pinch and couldn't make it to the area he was in, so he agreed to meet me a few miles from my house the following day while he was on another job. The whole thing cost me a fraction of what I would have paid at the dealer and I was in and out in 5 minutes. The guy is pretty funny and quick-witted as well, so that makes it fun. I'll be back for any locksmith related work in the future. 5 Stars and thanks again Todd! You are a Legend! read more

Called them at 6:30 AM. They called back at 7:20, 10 minutes before they opened. They said they would have a technician at my house between 8A and 10A. Called at 9 and said 20 minutes. Arrived 18 minutes later. Changed the locks in 30 minutes. Gave me a $5.00 discount because I mentioned Yelp. Two locks, 4 keys, 30 minutes; $80.00. From call to done 3.5 hours. Courteous, prompt, stayed in touch. Nothing but the highest praise. And the locks work just fine. Thank you! read more

Excellent service! I needed a laser cut key for the glove box of my car, which the dealer said had to be specially ordered from Toyota and could take 3-4 weeks to get. The little key that goes in the key remote was small and not a standard size. Not a problem, he had a replacement key laser cut in less than 15 minutes and it works perfectly. One word...
