I can't say enough good things about this small family business. Peter explained the fees and the process beforehand, operating in complete transparency. He arrived on time, was thorough and finished fairly quickly addressing the needed changes to all my doors. He offered different options for an issue that I was having and I was unclear as to what I needed done. He spelled out my options with pricing for each and did not bat an eye when I chose the less expensive option. A proper businessman. I have no issues with any of the locks and they are very fairly priced. Call them and find out. He ground the new keys right on location. It was the best night sleep I had in many months. read more

Excellent service from Budget Lock and Key! The owner, Tom Console, arrived right on time, even in 115-degree heat and completed everything perfectly. Tom rekeyed every lock in our home, created a master key, and made separate keys for the pool gates and a folding door. He also made mailbox keys and showed us how to open an electronic door lock to reprogram the door. In addition, he installed a locking doorknob and adjusted, shimmed the pool gate mechanism so it would close and lock properly. Tom was professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and extremely helpful. I highly recommend Budget Lock and Key for any locksmith work! Tom M. read more

Very responsive and professional. Great service and great price. I highly recommend Tom.

Wow ! Great service and they were really helpful. I tried to change my lock myself ran into a little issue. Called Budget Lock and Key and they came out so quickly and fixed my lock. I'm so glad I contacted them. Definitely will use them again !! read more

We are preparing to put our home on the market and discovered that we could not find any keys to the main entry door. Guess we have always just used the code or the app. So I called Budget! They promptly answered and told me they could be there by 2 PM. WOW! Absolutely, let's get it done. Brian actually showed up well before that and got right to work. Got 5 new keys and I was in business in no time. Much appreciated on how quickly they were able to take care of my missing keys issue and the price was quite reasonable, especially with the turn around time. Highly recommended! read more

Tom has been doing this for 40 years and I could tell. He came into a house with locks that were supposed to work on one key and did not. He figured out the problem and fixed everything so we only have to use a single key, finally! He was very reasonably priced, quick responding, and very pleasant. read more

I had an appointment scheduled today for all locks to be changed at my rental property. Tom contacted me and let me know that he was about 20 minutes out, which I appreciated. He shows up, I showed him the locks I needed changing and he got to work. He noticed a couple of the striker plates had been removed from the front door and master bedroom, he replaced them without even asking if I wanted it done. Really thought that was above and beyond, he was saying that they keep people from being able to kick your door in. In addition, he changed the batteries in the front door lock and put in a new code. I requested four spare keys and he made them on site. Great job, extremely thorough, and appreciated the extra attention to detail. I will definitely contact BLK in the future for any additional work. read more

Changing locks. This was one of the most delightful experiences I've had with a service person of any kind!! I'm old, so I've seen a lot of them come thru my door... Thomas was quick to respond to my inquiry, immediately gave me a quote for the service and an available time period to do change them. He came on time and as advertised. He was quick to change all my outside locks and improved on the "system" of locks. And he was reasonably priced! I only wish he had other side jobs, because I would be right there hiring him again. read more

I called to get my locks changed and was able to get a quote and someone at my door within a couple hours even though I explained it wasn't an emergency. Peter was extremely polite and efficient. Would highly recommend! And very reasonably priced! read more

Terrific! Peter was timely, courteous, and friendly. Fair price. Will use them again!

I love when I find a great company!! I know that I can call them again and again and I will be treated well. Made an appointment over the phone with Tom (the owner) and Peter (his son) showed up on time ready to go. He completed EVERYTHING I wanted and even recommended some things I had not thought about but wanted as well. He had everything on his truck so the job was done right there and then! He was efficient and there was no mess to clean up afterward. Such a great guy! I love when I have technicians out who know how to do their job and do it well. Easy on me - one less headache. Very reasonably priced; quick; efficient - would HIGHLY recommend. Thanks Tom and Peter :) read more

In a world where no one gets back to you in a timely manner or at all this experience was the best I could have asked for. Not only did Tom answer my call and quote me right away but he called me back minutes later to schedule me and then again to offer to come out same day. He let me know when he arrived so I could meet him at the house and set everything up for me quickly and professionally. He walked me through using my new keypad lock and gave me all the parts. His pricing was very fair and the lock price he quoted me was on par with what I'd find on Amazon for the same high quality name brand lock. He made payment easy by taking taking my credit card through his pay app and giving me a paid invoice on the spot. I'll definitely use this company again and recommend him to anyone I would come across. read more

Wow! This father/son team is courteous, professional, competent, timely and they get the job done correctly! They don't waste time and came asap! I'll definitely use them again! read more

Thomas was responsive, prompt, professional, competent and efficient. Rates were also very reasonable. read more

Quick, affordable, efficient, experienced, and pleasant! Locked ourselves out just before a home showing. Tom quickly answered my call, gave me a quote, and had me scheduled right away. Peter arrived before the designated time and had the door unlocked in seconds. Realizing how ridiculous it was to have 4 keys for 3 doors, Peter rekeyed all of the different locks to the various doors. Peter was so kind and knowledgeable. Tom and Peter really saved the day. Everything was sorted out before the showing. We sincerely appreciate their efforts and highly recommend their lock and key services. read more

Early April, my house will be 25 years old next week, and the security gate and side door security door to my garage are about 12 years old, maybe older. The duplicate keys to my locks that I gave my exterminator are gone. He retired and could not find them to return them, so I called the locksmith that appeared in my Internet search. The best part was that when I called him around 11 AM, he told me he would be there around Noon, same day. And he was! And by the time he dismantled and cleaned my locks, recalibrated them, and made me 3 keys, it was 12:15 when he finished, AND he was able to place two spacer receivers over the metal frame to my security gate so that the closing latch plunger, like you see on every door in your house has, that helped realign the gate so that now worked, too. Two recalibrated locks, re-keyed, and 3 new keys and he was all done. How can I beat 1 hour, 15 minutes from the time of my call and my job is done? Worth the price, which I'm not saying, because every job is different. But as I had no complications, he was easy to work with and I recommend him highly. He's been in the industry for 40 years, according to the advertising on his van. I endorse his efforts and wish him continued success. read more

Peter came by and rekey all 8 locks and fixed the latch on one of my doors! It took him about an hr.. reasonable pricing compare to three other places i called!! read more

Tom was very friendly and efficient. He answered a few specific questions I had over the phone, and we then made an appointment for a few days later. He arrived on time and quickly installed 3 new locks/handles, which we wanted for 'aesthetics' upgrades. Everything looks very nice! We also used Tom about 6 years ago when we first put new locks on our house. So he is 2 for 2 on quality, service, and timeliness! His rates are very reasonable. Very happy customer. Thank you Tom! read more

Tom Console, owner showed up at our house one hour after calling. As well as being extremely nice and courteous, Tom did excellent work fixing the lock on our security door and replacing / re-keying our front door lock. If you need a locksmith, don't bother looking anywhere else. He's the best in the business. Thanks again Tom. Regards Phil in Scottsdale. read more

So my mom had locked herself out of our house and we were in NY at the time so our only option was to get a locksmith to come out. I can't tell you how many I called before landing on Budget Lock & Key. They were all too busy, they gave numbers to other locksmiths, they didn't have anyone available or I had to make an appt. Which only added to my stress especially being 2,000 miles away. Well I am so glad to have come across this company I called, and the man that answered asked for my address said he could be there in 30min. I was so relieved to hear this. I confirmed with my mom and yep he was there in 30min and was able to unlock the door and let her in. I am beyond satisfied with the customer service!! read more

Unbelievable fast turn around on very short notice-- was in a jam as I had lost the keys to my home(never really used them as I use a garage electronic entry anyway) and needed keys for the home to be placed on the market to sell--- Tom responded immediately and Peter was sent within less than 1/2 hour! Excellent service-- will use and recommend again. read more

Found Budget Lock & Key on a Google search when I had an urgent need for a keyed lock on my patio door. Tom was right on time, if not even a little early. He knew I had to leave the house at a certain time. He was quick and efficient. I called on a Tuesday evening at 4:30 and he was at my house at 8AM that next day. He got a key out that had broken off and created two new keys in under 20 mins. Highly recommend! read more

Quick response and easy to book. Quick appointment and very friendly. Will for sure use again and recommend to all.

I had some locks replaced by Tom @ Budget Lock and Key and although he was quick, something just didn't seem right. Halfway through the job, he asked me for one of my old keys. He didn't tell me why he wanted the key and didn't make it clear that he intend on keeping it. When he left, neither the old tumblers nor the old key were left behind. He should have asked me for permission to take my key and tumblers. Once he left, I texted and asked him several times why he took the key, he couldn't give me an answer. Instead he wanted to know why I wanted it and offered to mail it. Here's some advice - just be honest and straightforward. If you choose not to be, it's gonna look questionable. ****** You still refuse to say why you took my key. You weren't throwing it away so that I didn't "confuse the old key with the new key" otherwise why wouldn't you ask for all the keys to that lock? And why didn't you offer that lame excuse when I asked you twice why you took my key? Excuses. And shady. read more
