I had a 2016 Honda Odyssey with a broken door lock cylinder. I checked around and found the best deal at Advanced Lock Service. They estimated $250-$350 to take out, rebuild, and replace my door key lock or $80 if I took it out myself for them to rebuild it. I removed it after watching YouTube videos, but the cylinder was broke in half, so I order a near fit from Amazon for about $20 (the cheapest OEM was about $100). Patrick was able to make the cylinder work after using the Amazon one + my old one. He also programmed and key cut a keyfob I bought on Amazon for about $30 and charged $65. And since his business is AAA approved, they will be rebating me $100. I highly recommend Advanced Lock Service! read more

The advertisement states "Trusted AAA Emergency Service Provide Since 2003; Roadside Service 7am-10pm 7 days a week" Apparently, 7 day a week does NOT include Sundays. False advertising with AAA. Makes them both look really bad. Hindsight - I should have called a locksmith first instead of relaying on AAA and then their "recommendation." Wasted 2+ hours in the sun. read more

It's wonderful to have a brick and mortar locksmith to go to! I needed to cut a couple of automotive keys that I bought off of Amazon. No one would do them without buying their keys to the tune of $60-$150. This guy will also sell you his key cut for around $60. However he cut mine at $10 apiece and told me if they didn't work because they were out of spec to bring the keys back and he will credit me toward a spec key. The keys you buy off of Amazon from China are not to spec. All that being said, the keys did work perfectly! I can't overstate the value that the guys at Advanced Lock Service provide. My experience involved my effort to save with a spare key-fob for my Tundra. The 'Stealer' cost was pretty pricey; so, I went online to eBay and purchased a blank with a great savings. Unbeknownst to me and not obvious on eBay, there are more than one programmable key for my vehicle. Robert was ahead of me on this detail and checked the programmable features on my vehicle before he 'cut' the key and informed me that I had the wrong coded key. I was able to return the key for a correctly coded key on eBay for no additional cost and then in a couple of days, returned to Robert to finish the spare. This kind of service is above and beyond what is normally seen today and deserves to be recognized and recommended. I also had him cut a unprogrammed key so that I had a non-startable key for using to pre-start cranking my Tundra to avoid the 'cold-start' wear on my engine when it sits for a few days and the oil drains down from the timing chain tensioners.....this is an engine saver. I purchased a spare fob-prox 'smart key' for my 2014 Murano a couple months ago and then found out that it needed to be programmed to synch / enable it. From previous experience, I didn't want to have to sell a valuable body part to afford Nissan's expertise. Well, they did it again! Nick was the technician that came to rekey the locks on the new property. I switched it up and decided to have the knobs and locks replaced on three doors...he didn't flinch. I only needed a key made, but it was a special key that most locksmiths didn't seem to be able to make, and these knocked it right out. The junior rep that answered the door didn't think it could be done but the more experienced guy walked right in, took over and I was out the door in less than 5 minutes. The owner alerted my soon to be ex-husband that I was changing the locks at my home. When I confronted him over the phone, the owner denied it, even though the ex confirmed and showed me the texts. Unprofessional and unethical. My response to your response. 11/7/17... Changing the locks was done per the court orders, on the scheduled dates and completely legal. It is MY house. It should have been no surprise for either party. I chose your company because you had been prompt, properly priced and I had worked with you numerous times before. I was expecting the same prompt and professional service. Instead I got the end-around. You see Patrick, the scenario you created in your mind was totally incorrect. I wasn't locking anyone out! You fabricated your information and made invalid judgment calls. Your emotional tirade merely upholds my assessment that you can't remain professional. Do the work you are being paid to do. Period! Just returned from their shop & was so pleased with their service to me. All 3 gentlement were kind, courteous & very helpful. Great customer service is so rare & these days. They quickly tested my smart key fob, (dead) supplied me with a new Ford key, programmed it in, &when the car gave me a low battery fob signal, they swapped out both batteries in 2 fobs for me. The price was great , too. Saved me $115 off a new key at a Ford dealer. The shop owner should be extremely proud of his staff! Peter got me to make the drive, pleasant & knowledgeable on the phone, the other 2 techs who assisted I did not get their names, unfortunately, a clean cut man, & a bearded man were just awesome, too. We used Advanced Lock Service when my key broke in the ignition of my car. I have AAA and they are who recommended the company so I went with the flow and was happy I did! The techs who came out to remove the key were on time, kind, and worked quickly. Our AAA covered the replacement of the key (they all cost a different amount but we got lucky!). I needed some keys made for work and after trying Home Depot, Ace and another locksmith with no luck I happened to come across Advanced on my way home on a Friday afternoon. I had my keys made swiftly and the staff was friendly and helpful. I left thinking all was good. Unfortunately, one set of keys did not work and I had to return. I called and the awesome lady on a Saturday opened up and had one of her guys come in to make another key to try, even though they are closed on Saturday. Again, this hard to make funny, little key did not work. It was suggested that I wait for Don on Monday. So I waited and Don got my key situation straightened out no problem. Thanks Don.
