Called them this morning to get a transponder key made for my car since I didn't have a key to start it. They came out just a couple hours later and completed the job within 30 minutes. Not to mention, the price was merely a third of what the dealership was going to charge me! Very affordable and friendly would definitely recommend! read more

In reading other reviews of Alcatraz Locksmith, I see everyone has given them five stars.. My experience today was such that I won't change that. Here's another five stars! Todd arrived when he said he would and went to work. He was more than willing to answer my questions and was quite agreeable about how he did it. The answers were also couched in layman's terms that I could understand. He is very efficient and doesn't waste time about what he is doing. I have to admit I was amazed to see all the equipment and supplies he carries in his work van. He also works clean and doesn't leave a mess when he is done. Todd also quoted me an approximate price for what he'd be doing for me. I can't say I was thrilled but the job had to be done so what else could I do but grin and bear it. What really gave me a grin was when the cost was enough below the estimate to surprise me. Then when I told him I had to use two different credit cards for business reasons, he was gracious about doing it that way. This has not always been the case with service people. With Todd, no problem. Obviously I can suggest when you need work done on any of your locks, give Todd a call. read more

I called Alcatraz locksmith to program a second key fob for my car. Todd was very professional and did an excellent job programming the key fob and laser cutting the key. I highly recommend. read more

Very happy to have found this company. Michael fixed all of our lock issues really fast. Thank you for the amazing work. Totally 100% use again! read more

Best locksmith experience I've had. Todd was personable, easy to get a hold of, and knew what he was doing. Pricing was more than fair and he'll likely be the only guy I go to for locksmithing from here on out. If your usual experience is what mine used to be, I'd recommend calling Todd. On a completely random note: if you YouTube "koala bear noises" you'll find videos of the typical locksmith. read more

Mercedes can be a very difficult thing to program keys for. Todd had it done in 30 minutes, now my w211 has 2 keys instead of one. Price was as discussed over the phone, quick clean service. read more

Was in a real bind and Tod was fast, friendly, and completely competent! Price was on point too! I highly recommend Alcatraz Locksmith!

Todd will now be my go-to for all of my locksmith needs! I highly recommend!!! I just needed to get duplicate keys cut for my car. Initially went to Autozone and was told a locksmith would need to laser cut the key (which Autozone couldn't do). I reached out to other locksmiths prior to getting ahold of Todd. Some weren't available, some relocated, another even mentioned that they charge more for service on the weekend. I was able to get ahold of Todd via text and was able to get an appointment with him the next morning (which I'm just now finding out was supposed to be his day off). He was able to cut the keys (and it didn't look like a laser was used) for $40 each which is a very fair and reasonable price for anyone I imagine. Asides from the service, Todd comes off as an overall great human being that seems to love what he does. We exchanged some words, shared some laughs and I was all set (after my key fobs were programmed as well) about 10 to 15 minutes later. I can't recommend this guy and his business enough. I'm incredibly grateful good hearted people like him exist. Thanks Todd! read more

Highly recommend. Quick to respond. Honest, reliable and affordable. Todd was friendly and knowledgeable. He didn't try to sell us on things we didn't need. Gave us great advice on which locks to choose. Was quick and efficient. read more

Super fast and helpful!! Helped me get right back into my listing that I had locked myself out of and the owners were out of state!

WOW! Locked my keys in the trunk of my 2015 BMW 328i. I called ten local locksmiths and explained my situation and and they said they couldn't help due to the nature of the situation. One of the Locksmith referred me to Todd at Alcatraz Locksmith and stated he was the "Guru of all locksmiths." I called Todd and he came over the next day and was able to unlock the trunk and get my keys in approximately 30 mins. He was very professional, personable, efficient and friendly! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TODD!! He should consider renaming his company Houdini Locksmith! Thank you Todd!! read more

Called to ask about programming my car fob after changing the battery. The gentleman who answered the phone helped by suggesting things I could try before needing to pay someone. What he suggested worked and GMC was going to charge me $100 instead of helping me like this place did. Very professional and not in it for the money or to rip me off. read more

I know it's a few days late, but Todd did an amazing job helping me replace the lost key to my Prius. He was extremely polite, very friendly, and made a point to contact me throughout the day to update me on when he would be arriving. Plus, I have to commemorate him for working for a half hour in the 110 degree weather without the air conditioner running (my AC doesn't work half the time, and when I came out to check on him I felt horrible.) The whole process came took about an 1 1/2-2 hours, and I haven't had any problems with the key at all. Thanks so much Todd! read more

Absolutely fantastic service from a great guy. Todd answered my midday call immediately, gave me a fair and accurate quote and told me he'd come over at 9pm to make my key. He showed up at 9 on the dot, made me 2 keys in less than a half hour and gave me back my Yelp discount plus a little extra. He even showed my 6 yr-old stepson how keys are made and told a few jokes along the way. I wish more people and companies were like Todd and Alcatraz Locksmith! read more

I had misplaced my car keys to my work vehicle (take-home Police vehicle) and was running around frantic. I did not find the keys which included a city gas key and remote. I got ahold of Todd Hogan who responded immediately. Todd was very professional and went right to work opening the Tahoe. Todd then re-keyed the vehicle and I was good-to-go. Todd was very polite and a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend if you find a need for a locksmith, call Todd. His prices are more than reasonable. Great service, polite employees, quick! This was the first time I'd ever used a locksmith and if I need one in the future this will be the company I call. I called this company because so many of their reviews were so high and they clearly make an effort and care about their product (i.e.: they *have* an active Facebook page). Whoever answered the phone when I called was anything but "customer friendly". I am moving into a new house and need my security door and front door rekeyed. I asked for an estimate and was told it would be the service cost plus $10 per key hole. I don't know about you, but I don't memorize things like how many key holes are in a door I've unlocked once... when I asked a clarifying question to figure out a closer estimate, the tone of voice and abrupt reply were both very condescending and, again, short. I had to figure out "what I don't know" and ask several follow-up questions to PULL the information out of this guy. I will be finding a different company to do business with. From my experience, my guess is that this company filters out their bad reviews and only posts their good ones. #speakingofintegrity #annoyed read more

Todd at Alcatraz Locksmith is honest and ethical! I needed a spare key fob for a vehicle I purchased for our daughter and the dealer was being ridiculous about the process. I thought I would try a locksmith and Todd at Alcatraz Locksmith was referred to me by my normal local locksmith. After a significant discussion with Todd about what my true options were, he really felt that going to the dealership was the best option since the car I purchased was so difficult to program key fobs for. His advice was in my best interest and the best interest of my daughter's safety. I will definitely use Alcatraz Locksmith in the future and would highly recommend him for his honesty and business integrity! Thanks Todd! read more

I used them in the past a few years ago. They did a great job, so I called them a second time, because I had a roommate that moved out. I support small businesses that give good service. He gave me a quote over the phone which I felt was fare. I told him I had 3 locks which needed changing. The quote was based on that. Once the technician arrived the price changed because I had a security door which is keyed on both sides. There was a little confusion, but quickly resolved. They did a great job rekeying all of my locks. I tested them before the technician left and tested the automatic lock, all worked great. They are easy to work with, arrived on time, and great service. I will use them again if needed and send referrals. They are veterans and I support all veteran businesses. read more
