This is my third time coming to Aladdin Cafe and after every visit I have to review. They raised the bar yet again. We went to celebrate a friend's Birthday. They basically gave us access to a whole wing of the restaurant to accommodate our large party. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the different foods. We even changed our seating arrangements after ordering and he still didn't mess up our order. It felt like you were home, very laid back and they could not have been more accommodating. Then the food just blows you away. I got the shrimp kabobs with Tobouli Salad. You owe it to yourself to give them a try....and the Baklava is a sweet way to end your visit. read more

My wife and I (and numerous guests) have eaten here numerous times and each time the food was spot on. Our go-to foods have always been chicken shawarma, tabbouleh, Baba ghanoush, and the roasted cauliflower. Each of these is full of flavor, delicately and thoughtfully seasoned to perfection. Last weekend, we were needing a large amount of food for the rehearsal supper the day prior to my son's wedding. My wife had the idea that we should really consider Aladdin Cafe', since our experiences had always been so good in the past. When presented with what we thought might be the challenge of feeding 40+ people, Younes (the owner) shook it off and promised us that he would make the dinner a success and that he would "make it perfect". And, perfect it was. Not only was the food every bit as tasty as what we had always been served in the restaurant but the presentation was beautiful. From the chicken kebab's which were cooked as well as any other we've ever had, to the baklava (I heard it said by some that this was the best they'd ever had), everything was just right and no one went hungry. In fact, it's safe to say that all left the party satisfied. Other items included a lovely, crisp, Greek salad, some of the best falafel that I've ever tasted, well-prepared rice, tabbouleh, Baba ghanoush, and sides of tzatziki and pita. Great restaurant we discovered behind our parents house. It's a new place and it is a hole in the wall spot, but those are the best!! We ordered lamb and chicken kabob plates, which were superb. The meats are seasoned very well!! The hummus and baba ganoush were very good as well. Service was great, but I will disclose that we ordered takeout. Even so, staff is very friendly and helpful. They took my order over the phone and it was ready within 20 mins. If you guys don't want to drive all the way to Arlington for some good kabob plates, this is an EXCELLENT place to try!!! read more

Just ordered though Favor, and received the order at 9:00 P.M. That's on Favor. However, when we opened the food containers, ALL of the kabobs were chincy, with only 3 medium sized pieces of meat per skewer. No pieces of onion with the meat. Baba ghanoush was my favorite bites of the night, full of flavor and ordered as a side dish in gyro plate brought out early made it the perfect appetizer. This place has some delicious, fresh food. Definitely worth the visit. It's kinda between Crowley and FW, but worth the drive. Can't go wrong with pretty much anything on the menu, and you should try some hot tea with your meal. We love this restaurant. I can't remember if the meat is Halal, but we love the lamb and the chicken kebabs. Like their baba ghanoush and their Mediterranean salad or Greek salad we also like their lentil soup and their hummus with fresh pitas. They will also give you extra lemon slices which we love and the service is always excellent, polite, respectful, welcoming, cheerful, and helpful. I had a gyro, but the meat was cut similar to french fries. It didn't look like the thinly sliced meat you typically find in a gyro. The gyro meat looked different than the other Yelp pictures of gyro meat at this restaurant. The kids both had a hamburger because.. they are kids. The burger was mostly filler and the flavor was mostly black pepper. My husband loved his lamb dish and hummus. The pita was nothing special. I am willing to try this place again. Been here a few times. Have eaten in and taken to go orders. Have ordered lots of food. Usually I will order a larger container of lamb with a container of salad. I pay $20 plus dollars for a container of gyro meat - lamb and was so surprised when I found out he was charging me extra for the each white sauce that goes with the meat. You get one free. That was my very first turn off with this place. Today I went in and explained that I wanted a side salad and a small side oder of lamb to go. Plus another order. When I got home I had a small salad with 4 round pieces of kabob meat on top of my salad. I could only shake my head. I told the guy that answered the phone. I clearly asked for lamb - not kabob. Anyway. Couldn't go back - traffic was bad - they are right on a corner - hard to get in and out. I was very disappointed with my meal. Not happy. read more
