Believe it or not I know I know the difference in chicken pieces. Ordered a 10 piece mix, doordash delivered,and did great. Opened the box to only legs and thighs. Called and spoke to employee, explained situation. She put phone down and speaks to another employee who says she packed the order and know it os correct. I at the request of the employee, looked again to verify i see only legs and thighs. I heard the employee say she is lying i know what i packed. I said could you just put the 5.00 extra charge (for mixed) back on my payment method. She said no to bring the entire order back so they could see it, and they would remake it. Drove up there and proved I was not lying. No apology, nothing. Just said here is your order. Rude employees!! read more

Our first time here after growing tired of the mechanical performance at Golden Chick. The chicken at Lisa's is fleshy, tasty, and coated with a crispy batter that doesn't overwhelm the chicken. Mashed potatoes were darned close to home-cooked and the white gravy (we ordered family size) was just the right consistency. Cole slaw on the side was properly flavored and crunchy. All the food is fresh and well-cooked. I love the chicken, fries, and the slaw is delicious, corn on the cob, corn nuggets & fried okra plus more. The fish used to be great but if you can get the fish out of the crust you could probably read through it. read more

The chicken here is always way better than the chain store competition. Plus it's considerably less expensive. Drive through so far is always accurate, dine in is usually very open, I don't see a lot in store patrons, most come through the drive through. I've been inside a few times and it's a decent store. Fast food type of restaurant setting, built inside an old bank. The chicken livers are really good. They don't usually keep them on the heat lamps, these are always made fresh. Takes 10-15 minutes, but it's worth the wait. Watching them make the chicken, they double batter the chicken. They dip in it the liquid, then in the powder seasoning, back into the liquid, then back into the powder seasoning, then into the frier. Seasoning is great, chicken is always juicy. Okra is always good as well. Cole slaw is hit and miss, some trips it's spot on and really great, others it's sort of bland and dry. I highly recommend Lisa's rather than going to the place with the expensive bucket. read more

Food is not good. It is typical, inexpensive, fried fare you can get anywhere. Not sure what the buzz is about. We tried. The chicken left a heavy grease coating on our tongues. We felt a bit queasy after eating. It's all too much. Coupled with the abrupt and rude wait staff, it was not a good experience. At least they have moved away from the gas-station-food model they began with and went to a nondescript fast food motif/restaurant. I wish there was some redeeming factor I could speak to but, no. Lisa's Chicken is a chain with multiple locations. The crispy catfish is good! I got that with two sides: coleslaw and corn on the cob and a roll. They did originally mess up the order and gave us double the order by mistake. However this was resolved quickly at the pickup window when they confirmed with us we only wanted double the catfish and not the chicken meal as well. There was no wait at the drive through so we literally drove right through. We also got several drinks with the order and it came out to less than $30 for 3 people. I have yet to try their chicken and would be willing to return to give that a try. if I'm ever in the area. They are much closer to me than the nearest Bush's chicken. read more

Man, oh man! the hush puppies may be my favorite thing. They are the kind from an old fashion 1980's fish fry place locals will remember. Great fried Chicken and Crispy Catfish. Sides are pretty standard. Took a menu home and noticed that have fried burritos and egg rolls. read more

goodness this is some good chicken. Every single time. I first had this several years back and it was ok. Certainly nothing to frequent at least. But I have this location a try and let me tell you, . I absolutely love it. I have matter it habit to always ask for fresh everything with these fast food places more. So I apply that habit here and it had been worth the few minutes wait EVERY SINGLE TIME! I might go get dinner more today. Maybe it's just me but in my mind fast food is supposed to be FAST & ht right? I've noticed the trend of MAYBE fast and MAYBE one part of your meal being hot. We ordered the fried chicken strips, fried fish, with Mac and cheese, and slaw. The chicken breading was simple and crispy, with little seasoning and the meat was juicy and delicious. The breading on the fish was crispy with a nice mix of seasoning that was delicious. The sides were decent, overall pretty decent food for a fast food restaurant. read more

We're do I start, I came to Lisa chicken 45 minutes before closing and the restaurant had no food and the staff including the manager was so rude and didn't even give a care about my children eating!!! I had never had Lisa's Chicken before it came to Crowley. Even with cars wrapped around the building the wait for food is still very small. The chicken tenders were massive and all the food was fresh. Gravy can be a little thin sometimes but I prefer thicker gravy. We've been back several times without being let down. read more

Having just moved here I found myself in search of good genuine not that national chain blah friend chicken and fish options. Luckily I stumbled upon this place. I've traveled all over the US and eaten a whole lot of food from fast food joints and I haven't had worse service. 35 min before closing I was told they would not cook anything else for me so I had to choose between "two pieces of fish ,some tenders and mix chicken" then when I asked what sides they had I was told by the child working the window "hold on, let me look" she came back to tell me "okra and fries" which was wrong because she gave me like 4 corn nuggets and some old fries. Then when I agree to something from her custom menu she doesn't even remember what I want and doesn't get it right when she gave me my food. When she asked me if I wanted a sauce I said "gravy" and she informed me they weren't making it either. I should have expected the food to be old and not good by the lack of care that was exhibited with everything else but I had hoped It would still be ok. Nope didn't get all the food and not even the sauce I wanted. But what do you expect from a group of kids wearing sweatpants to work sitting on the prep station. Oh yeah and they turned the signs and lights off outside before we got there which was almost 40 min to close!! save yourself the time and go somewhere else. I would not recommend eating here at all. First only 1 or 2 workers wore a mask. Only saw one person wear gloves while handling food. The person preparing the raw chicken to be battered had no gloves on mixing the chicken and flour. The tubs of raw chicken were stacked on top each other with bottom of tub touching the raw meat under it then put on a counter. Major cross contamination with ready to eat foods. The trash bins were overflowing. Food was all over the floor under the tables. This wasn't during any rush hour with only 3 other customers the time we were there. The only thing I have seen worse is at Chicken Express in Crowley where workers were using the same dirty mop water and wash rags to wipe down counters where they prepare the food. I am reporting this to health inspector. If I can leave a no star review I would. I just couldn't in good conscience not leave a review to warn people to beware or just go inside and watch for yourself. read more
