I really enjoyed the sushi at the restaurant. It was light and fresh. The service was quick and friendly. In addition, they actually had no reservations available but were able to fit us in. I was extremely grateful since it was my birthday too! read more

Order almost weekly for delivery and eat in maybe every two weeks. Fast delicious and moderately priced.

I am still missing the Mizu on Bedford Ave between N 6 and N 7 that closed down a few months ago. Thank god these guys opened this new Japanese restaurant in our neighborhood! It is not 100% as good as the old Mizu was, but probably 90%, which is good enough for me. Consistent quality and reasonable price! read more

Horrible service. Waited 30mins before they even have us menus. None of the waitresses passed by to ask if we were being helped or to even ask if we wanted drinks. Will not be coming back. read more

We started with the spicy mango salad, and it was everything an appetizer should be. It was delicious, light, and made my mouth water for more. It had just the right amount of sweetness and spiciness from the sweet chili sauce, with the creamy deliciousness of the peanut, and the crunch of the jicama and vermicelli. And then the mango in every bite of all that? Yes yes yes yes yes yes. Rolls I tried: Tuna Salmon Twister - Spicy Cheery Aioli crunchy spicy salmon, sweet peanut roll topped with japanese spice crusted tuna & avocado. Lobster Rock 'N Roll shrimp, avocado, cucumber roll with lobster salad mango & tobiko on the top. Christmas - Green Tea-Sea Salt sun dried tomato, avocado roll with tuna & super white tuna on the top. Pink Lady Tempura - Spicy Strawberry Cream shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, jicama, avocado wrapped in soy bean sauce. They went to the trouble of presenting these rolls to us in style, drawing little hearts and kind words in sauce. My friend pointed out that the two of us look like such assholes with this in front of us, especially when two of our rolls are basically a Christmas and a Valentine's Day roll and its July and we're not in a relationship. Anyhow, I appreciated it. And Jesus it was so good. I'm still not sure what a "cheery aioli is" or even whether it mightn't be one of those typical Asian menu misspellings, but the roll was delicious and did indeed make me cheery. The lobster roll was also soooo goood. The Christmas roll was nice, but my least favorite of the four (that being said, still some of the better sushi I've had). The Pink Lady roll rocked. Man, oh man. And then I used a $25 coupon, so that, after tax and tip, my friend and I only paid $23 each for this feast. If you're not using Restaurant.com, you're missing out! read more

This place is fine. I've eaten here a bunch of times and find the sushi to be pretty good, but not great. the miso soup and salad are pathetic, makes the lunch "special" not worth getting. read more

I've only ordered delivery of the lunch specials. The food tastes good- better than some of the other local Japanese places. Fast delivery. The small salad that comes with the lunch special is frequently soggy. They need to dry the lettuce after washing. read more

Ordered the sushi and sashimi combo for one. Low quality fish, the rice was so hard as if it was only half cooked. To summarize: bad sushi. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. First and last delivery from Ako. read more

Love the food and the people. I get takeout and bring friends there for lunch. Really friendly, very fast, great food.

Food was great, service was great, spoke a little Japanese! Also got a free desert with a yelp check in! Will definitely be returning.

Not good sushi. It's not even the cheapest in the neighborhood, either. Mizu is much, much better and a block away.

This is my favorite sushi in Williamsburg. Well priced and fresh. Great rolls!

It's an awesome place, the food is really good, and the servers are nice. One thing I didn't like was the way the kind of rush you when they are close to closing. Over all it's a super great place read more

The staff treated me and my wife with utter contempt when we asked a question about the menu. My wife asked how many pieces of sashimi came in one order. The waitress got angry and said one, of course, and left. Another waitress came to take our order and clarified each order came with two. The place wasn't even crowded so they were definitely not short staff. No excuse to treat us like this. read more

I love this place. Been there many times in the past, always great sushi and great lunch specials. The problem is tonight I went there and there was a cockroach crawling across the table while I was eating. I caught the bug under the soy sauce container and showed it to the waiter. He continues to give me the full bill. I asked what can they do for this, they gave me $11 off. I spend a lot more than that there all the time. We didn't make a scene, kept it on whispers that this happened. Again, great place, been going there for years , but just a bad resolution to the situation. I get roaches pop up, but in a sushi, with raw fish, that's a major concern. read more

Bonnie was a great sever! I really recommend trying this restaurant, great service and great food!

Best god damn thing I've ever eaten. I think I'm going to have my children born here.

Everything was lovely. Always stop here when I'm in Williamsburg! Tons of veggie options if you're vegan. And a cute outdoor patio!!

I loved the ambience in Ako and the sushi rolls were a great deal. I also recommend the Yuki udon, which was absolutely delicious.
