Great music, great food, great spot!! Loved the food and ambiance. Happy hour weekdays 5-7 is a great deal, includes drinks and appetizers.

I have been ordering the lunch specials for years and I have yet to be disappointed. Super fresh sushi, good sized portions and the delivery always arrive promptly. The prices are fair and cheap by Williamsburg standards. I would highly recommend the Lunch Bento box with Beef Teriyaki as the main entree, at under $10 it is quite the value. read more

Honestly the food isn't even great and things are way overpriced for what it is but I order from this place because it's close and it's easy via seamless. However today is the last time i order from this place. Mind you I already included tip when ordering and I gave him a fair amount given he only has to walk a couple blocks but the delivery guy has the nerve to snap at me for not tipping MORE than I did. Tip is usually meant as an EXTRA incentive for good service. One thing for sure is that I will never be ordering from this restaurant ever again. read more

My go-to sushi spot. Never disappoints, excellent options. I've only been in person once and was stunned at how adorable it is for a date spot. read more

I loved the outdoor area with the wood tables. Very cute. The sushi was really good and felt and tasted fresh. We got a salmon don and felt like it had a fair amount of sashimi for the price. The rice was perfectly sticky too. It seemed like a reasonably priced place. I would go back. read more

ALWAYS faster than they say. favorite sushi spot in the hood for sure. won't order from anywhere else and probably their best customer. :)

Really great lunch specials! Sushi was fresh and delicious. I'm very picky when it comes to sushi and Ako was amazing. Quick service too if you're in a rush! read more

My go to sushi spot. I've been here both in the summer and winter time. The food is fresh and tasty, I've never had a bad meal here, and the customer service is top notch. They have a cute patio in the back that I highly recommend when the weather calls for. Service with a read more

I'm a big Sushi fiend/connoisseur, so when my fav sushi spot Wasabi had "closed for renovations," I was very scared what would happen next. A couple months later, Ako arrived, and I could not be happier. Donning an upscale and modern renovation, Ako still has the fantastic quality and edge that brought me to Wasabi in the first place. Down to the finite details such as the dishes, Ako is a seriously delicious crowd pleaser with a modern edge. Highly recommend the crunchy spicy tuna and volcano roll! Ako has officially become my obsession. At least it's a healthy one! read more

The food is pretty average. Another Japanese restaurant run by Chinese people, so it isn't that authentic. My friend ordered a chicken yakiudon, he got a vegetable one instead. They changed it though, so that's nice of them. I got a yellow tail tartar it's tragically small. Sushi should be served cold but my rainbow roll is warm. Pretty nice ambience though, could pass for people who aren't picky. read more

This place is fine - miso soup tasted pretty good, but my chicken teriyaki was sub-par. Not terrible, but the chicken itself didn't taste like it was great quality (a few chewy-ish pieces). Would try other sushi places in the area before going back. read more

This is a nice place. The service is great and the food is too. It's a good find for a quick sushi stop while shopping in Williamsburg

We had an amazing time here! The service was lovely. I had a few questions about the menu and the man explained everything with pleasure. The food was great. Very fresh sushi, nice presentation and so tasty!! A real gem if you're looking for a good sushi which is affordable. Apart from that the location is lovely. We were sitting outside where they have nice tables in a romantic atmosphere with little lights and candles. Prices are totally fine for what you get! Great service - great food. All in all it was a perfect evening! read more

Go-to sushi delivery in williamsburg. I challenge all sushi lovers to prove me wrong!! ;)

Okay so me and my friends were craving sushi all day yesterday. We happened to be in the area and found Ako, I must say it was delicious. My friend ordered the miso soup, with the peanut avocado roll along with a sake. She stated it was delicious, and it was the best sushi she had in while. As for me I ordered the shrimp tempura roll (MY FAV ROLL), & a crunchy spicy salmon roll. Along with spicy mayo & ginger, it was hands down the best sushi I've had so far in my life. The only thing that disappointed me was their water, it tasted like pure chlorine. I also got a free green tea ice cream , just for checking in. So overall it was quality sushi, the pace is small but cute. So if you're in the area definitely give them a try ! read more

Stumbled on Ako for their lunch special- can't beat the price! Wonderful sushi with awesome service in a great atmosphere. Highly recommend this spot! read more

Wow!!!! Where do I begin? Everything in the bento box was delicious, from the miso soup to the sashimi. Best lunch special in town. And then the tempura cheese cake I wasn't ready. Will be back soon!!!! read more

We ordered the Rock Shrimp Tempura, American Dream, and the Spicy Combo Roll. The entrees came with Miso Soup. Fast service, well-sized portions, and tasty food. Would come back or order takeout! read more

I love this place, very nice ambience and the food is absolutely delish. Good food for a good price.

This has turned into my go-to sushi spot, they have a beautiful backyard and excellent service. The sushi is very good and they are accommodating to any dietary restrictions. read more

I haven't had great sushi like this in a long time, and not to mention the lunch price is so reasonable too. The hand rolls were so good, seaweed was crispy and fresh, fish was super fresh and tasty. The special roll was filled with fish and light on the rice- just how we like it. read more

Four small shrimp for $9.50 is outrageous. I could barely see the shrimp. The flavor of the sauce was like ketchup. I have ordered sushi and was generally satisfied with flavor and quality. Avoid the broiled shrimp. There are so many really good Japanese or fusion restaurants in the Williamsburg area --no reason to settle. read more

The food here is not bad and is what is expected for an average Japanese restaurant, however I am only giving two stars because of the bad service. I went here with my boyfriend and a few family members on a Saturday night and waited almost an hour for our plates. It was as if they had forgotten about us. It was fairly busy but one would think that a sushi restaurant on prime Bedford avenue would know how to handle a busy night. They gave us dessert on the house but this didn't make up for the time wasted. read more

hands down best sushi. hands down. that i've ever had, and i've had a lot of sushi. i've never been to japan, and i'm not from california, but my boyfriend is obsessed with japanese food. so we eat it a lot. it was delicious. i was also impressed with their rock shrimp, their AMAZING waitstaff service (they are incredibly attentive and nice). the put little slices of cucumber in our glasses for our sake. i've never seen that done before, but it really was delicious. and i actually found the LED ice cubes to be a creative touch. not a serious touch, for sure, as someone mentioned below, but it was cool. maybe i'm still a raver at heart. their plating was really artful. loved it. oh. and the fish was fresh. and clean clean clean. read more

BYOB! The hand roll combos are listed under entrees and are priced very well at about $16 for 3 rolls plus soup and salad. I saw the coulple next to us get the sushi for two and it looked very romantic with ice in a martini glass and baby's breath decor. Great outdoor space. Impressive! read more

Fairly bland sushi. My Alaska roll tasted liked chicken instead of crab. Looks like Mizu is the sushi place in the 'burg

I am afraid this has gone down hill. My salmon/jalepano roll was inedible due to the salmon being of such poor quality it was all chewy and skin and fat inside my roll. Disgusting. The lunch special price went up too. It's now $11 for any 2 rolls, and $14 for three rolls (used to be $9 for 2 and & $11 for 3). The ginger tasted off too. Like it had come out of a stinky sock drawer. I've never tasted bad ginger before, and usually love that side to cleanse my palette. But this was not edible either. Ako I bid you goodbye. read more

Ako is one of my favorite places! The staff is incredible and very professional and the food is amazing. I strongly recommend this place for everyone! Easy 5 stars! read more

Great spot for good sushi and nice service. It is BYOB, so remember to pick up a bottle of wine from the wine store around the corner. Lots of variety, and lovely atmosphere. Go-to for sushi in the 'Burg! read more

What it is: Consistent, reliably good, very standard sushi. A comfortable environment with good service. What it isn't: This place isn't pretentious. Don't expect experimental foods and fancy frills. The miso soup is good. The fried ice cream is delicious. I'm so glad they're in the neighborhood! read more

Fast, friendly service. Good sushi. I had the marble trio roll which was good, a bit heavy on the rice. I also had the Saba sashimi which was fresh and delicately sliced. read more

Beware of any sushi place in which your tuna roll is served in a martini glass with blue lights. We tried a few different things, but based on taste, this one rates last in the Bedford Ave area. Staff is wildly attentive but more attention to product and less to gimmick would help. read more

Really good delivery -- packed intelligently in a McDLT hot-side-hot cool-side-cool way. The Agedashi Tofu came separate from its broth, so the tofu coating was still nice and crispy. Ton Katsu was crispy and toddler-friendly. Sushi was fresh and lovely and everything was quite tasty. Finally a non-gross Japanese delivery option in WBurg! read more

I am not sure if this changed management, chefs or what but the menu and food seems much improved from when I went there a year ago. I got the Bento Box, Shrimp Teriyaki lunch special, it was great. Super good deals for lunch. Will be trying it again for dinner. read more

This sushi restaurant was delicious. I'm very picky with my sushi and I had a salmon don. The salmon was very fresh and tender. To top off an incredible meal I ordered the green tea matcha Tiramisu and it was incredible. I've never had anything like it. Not too sweet and very delicate. 5 stars all around. Highly recommend this place. read more

Great neighborhood spot - the food and staff is always the best. Order the Sapporo on draft and all the hand rolls
