During the peak of the heat wave, our AC suddenly started blowing warm air. After reaching out to four different companies with little success, Airnizer was the only one that responded quickly, communicated clearly, and actually diagnosed the problem thoroughly. Our condo uses Trane central air units that most residential technicians aren't familiar with, which made the situation even more stressful. Max, however, was outstanding--always responsive by phone or text, and he took the time to explain what was happening, what the diagnosis was, and what parts/repairs would be required. Oleksandr and Sergey, the technicians, were equally excellent. They arrived on time for every visit, were professional and communicative, and handled multiple rounds of repair with precision. Im so grateful that I found Airnizer on Yelp! What a positive experience from start to finish! The compressor in my vertical HVAC unit died on me and had to replace the chassis. The HVAC company that my building (very large building with multiple units) uses gave me a quote with a lead time of 7-8 weeks (which is basically the whole summer)! Max, the office manager was deeply knowledgable and surprisingly frank and honest. He was upfront with every issue and detail. The other company was not, which made me appreciate Airnizer even more. They came out the very next day to do a diagnostic test. A couple of days after that, they found the Climatemaster brand components in stock (which was apparently difficult to procure from the other companies) and installed the parts. Amazing service. I needed my split unit a/c deep cleaned after what looked like years of buildup. I contacted a different company previous to hiring Airnizer, and all they did was spray chemicals in my outdoor unit and rinsed the indoor unit filters under water. Airnizer was great! I sent a Yelp request on Sunday afternoon for a broken water heater and by Sunday evening they had scheduled the on-site inspection for Monday. I had used Airnizer a couple of years and they came and cleaned my system with no problems. Last year the told me it was time for a deep clean. This lead to a multitude of problems. They sprayed some "solvent into the system", to clean it and it clogged everything up and busted three of my units which had been working perfectly before the deep cleaning. Basically they charged me a fortune to do the service and all the repairs. They have no idea what they are doing. each time it cost me for the visit and the repair. i ended up having to replace one unit, tear up my ceiling and walls. And now the other units they said they fixed is making a crazy sound and I have to repair or replace that unit as well. Airnizer's visit charge is $300 and can be applied to the work that they can then do afterwards if need be. Picture this: They arrive, charge me $300 (where others charge on average half or less that amount) and then inform me that a nitrogen test will cost $2500 plus MORE per line, up to $6500...just for a test! This exact test (I learned later) costs between $250-$650 by ALL other businesses. They clearly were stating that "we need to do this test otherwise you lose your $300". I chose to do the sealant test instead that was going to cost $850 instead. However I was never properly informed that there was a chance that the system could break down completely instead. To be clear, my system was working ok at around 60F (see photo) and two days after they applied their sealant the system stopped working completely (81.5F - see photo). I was never ever informed that there was the risk that the system could completely die. All I was informed was that there is a chance that the sealant wouldn't work. Period. Airnizer is an over-priced HVAC company that pressures their customers to pull triggers on high spending costs during heat waves. I recommend that everyone do their due diligence before asking Airnizer to come to their home or business. Look at their pricing and compare it to what is FAIR and not the exorbitant pricing they offer. My biggest mistake was to trust the 5-star reviews when what I should have done was make sure that the pricing was not a ripoff. My new HVAC company (DC AirHVACR) charged me a FRACTION to TEST my system with the nitrogen test and it's costing me LESS to replace the entire system that Airnizer broke than what they wanted to charge me for JUST the nitrogen test. When someone asks you to pay $300 for their first visit and you're forced to make a pricey decision, otherwise you lose the $300...it shows that they do not care about YOUR needs. They care only about their wallet. 2-stars... only because the techs were kind. read more
