After having three old wall mounted air conditioners removed and the openings closed up, it was time to find an HVAC company that would install Mini Split units. I searched the web and reviewed using Yelp. It's not very often that things actually work out as planned. I did my due diligence but in the back of my mind I always anticipate things going array. Their knowledge is what sold me on these excellent contractors as other Mitsubishi Diamond Dealers were unaware that Mitsubishi had increased the amperage on their newest unit and they alerted me to needing to install more robust electrical lines. They also did an excellent job of installing the equipment and in answering all the questions I had along the way, to make me feel more comfortable. Alex and Nick did an amazing job and were responsive from beginning to end. The jobs were to: deep clean a system of three, 7-year-old (and never before cleaned) mini-split units and the roof condenser; refill refrigerant as needed; and replace three noisy pumps with new quiet ones. Prime Air's prices were very reasonable throughout, sometimes significantly lower than other quotes I got. The work was done over two visits (at our request) but two different techs and they were both super polite and efficient. For the cleaning they disassembled the indoor units, cleaned, and put them back together. The system is running perfectly, feels like new and honestly better than even the first run. I had a problem with my split AC unit that three companies could not figure out (over the course of two years) and billed me ridiculous amounts of money to simply tell me they could not figure it out. Then I found Prime Air Group. They worked through everything and eventually got the unit up and running within days. That should have been enough. Nope. They then did a full service project of hiding wires and making it as if there was never a problem to begin with. I have two multi room mini-split systems in my duplex apartment that haven't been cleaned in a few years. I reached out to prime air group for a diagnostic - the tech came on time and pointed out how dirty the units were. The next week, they came back and did a deep clean on all of my units and topped it up with r134a. My units went from 50F to 36F. We highly recommend Prime Air Group for your mini-split needs. Any house project can be stressful, but Nick and his team made it as seamless as possible from start to finish. They have the process down, which means they will come and look at what you need, describe your options, and then present you with a detailed range of prices based on need and manufacturer. Once you sign the contract, put down the deposit, and schedule the installation, the rest is on autodrive. A team of professional, fast, and knowledgeable workers come over the span of a day to several days--for us, it was 3 days to do the install for three units. Nick (or his equivalent) will also be on site to make sure things are going smoothly. And when the outside unit was acting up, one of their tech guys came the next day after I let them know. While there are other options for your heating and cooling needs, and several companies with comparable quotes, I honestly feel like I know Prime Air Group. They are so responsive, I almost feel like there are no other options, really. One last thing, they offer two service checks which is a nice added benefit. Required deep cleaning for a mini-split a/c unit 14 feet up in a 4th floor walk-up. Andrei came prepared with extendable ladder and all the equipment he needed. Explained what he was doing each step of the way and showed me how dirty the (possibly never serviced) unit was. When he noticed that the previous owner of my apartment had disconnected the thermostat from the main unit, he proactively fixed the issue that I didn't even know I had... he identified an issue with two of the older units and gave me some options, without pushing me to buy anything.
