I got a quote from HVAC Wiz through Yelp when my central AC stopped working in the hot summertime. Most of the companies that responded with quotes wouldn't be able to come check it out for a week, but Sam called me and said he could send his guys the following day! Thank goodness. Igor and Cyril arrived promptly on time and were very professional and polite. They even took their shoes off to come into the house. They replaced a few parts and got the AC working again in an hour and a half. They even gave me a couple of helpful suggestions for improving efficiency. And the price was so reasonable! Highly recommend supporting this small business. read more

Fantastic, thorough, thoughtful, excellent communication. He complimented the installation of our HVAC system and showEd he appreciated good craftsmanship. Immediately saw the issue with our boiler system. Honest and responsible. Hire them on the spot. read more

This is a scam business! The owner negotiated a price with me and then sent me a proposal with a different company name. When I explained that Yelp wouldn't offer their insurance policy given the names didn't match, he said he couldn't put the Aktobe name on his proposal, with no reason given. He's obviously trying to keep his YELP advertising clean, while not avoiding responsibility by using a different company name in his contracts. Avoid!! UPDATE - As soon as I posted this ad, he changed the name from Aktobe to HVAC WIZ!!! Serious scammer!! read more

This business was my second opinion after a WAY overpriced awkward first evaluation. I'm so happy I reached out. Honestly, integrity, quality, and manners went a long way. It's been a few weeks now and the work speaks for itself. read more

Sam came on really short notice to get me out of a central AC jam on really short notice in the middle of 90 degree weather/ hell. My condensate pump was a mess and whomever installed it, did not do a good job with the piping. Sam re-plumbed the drain and used a common-sense approach to the drainage to ensure it wouldn't backup again. He also inspected my coil and realized that it needed a cleaning and charged a reasonable price. Would highly recommend him. Overall his initial service fee was among the most reasonable of the 3 or 4 estimates I got. read more

My mini split ductless Haylcon system had a leak in the coolant so the system wasn't cooling or heating. Sam came out, was very pleasant and professional, and fixed it up. Just in time for the heat wave. Much appreciated. read more

I had a brand new HVAC installed for my gut renovation by a different company and it didn't work. I had at least 6 other companies come give me an estimate to fix it in the height of high season during the summer. Every company gave me astronomical quotes and even one said I needed an entire new system for $70k! Sam from Aktobe was the only one who didn't try to take advantage of my desperation and told me the truth - the original job was a bad one but there is probably just a leak. Sure enough, he found the leak and fixed it for a fraction of a new system. His work has a one year guarantee. He recommended I contact him before the next summer season to ensure there's no other leaks since it was difficult to tell whether the pressure was slowly declining due to cold weather (I ended up waiting until after high season to get it fixed) or another leak. I contacted him in March and he came out the next day. Sure enough, there was no Freon in the system which implied theres another leak - well he found another one in a different area and fixed it for free since his labor was still under warranty. He even said the warranty is now one year from March! I want to make it clear that the leaks were due to a different company and not Sam - Sam was the one who found and fixed them when others couldn't. Not only is Sam and his company great at what they do, but he is honest, ethical, responsive, and a man of his word! I will recommend him to everyone I know read more

Amazing service, highly recommended. Fast, professional and extremely nice. Got an AC leaking, the problem was solved in no time.

Didn't actually have any work done but that's because Sam was nice enough to stop by my place and check out my HVAC issues before scheduling any. He offered some suggestions to help me out and said to give him a call if I wanted to move forward with work. Very nice dude and appreciate him checking it out for us. Will contact again in the future for any HVAC work that might be needed. read more

Great service. Came on time. Did the job. Fair price. 3 weeks later my ac unit was not working again. They came the very next day, which was hot, guy said they wanted to make sure we were nice and cold. Quick fix and did not charge us any more. Highly recommend!! read more

Sam helped us when no one else could! Very patient and excellent service even during the heatwaves last week and this week. He looked at our building's entire a/c system and diagnosed as quickly and efficiently as possible, and finished the job after we'd had a previous person fail to fix it. Highly recommend him if you need someone to look at or repair your a/c, thank you so much Sam--we're keeping you on speed dial! read more

He got up to speed on my situation (dirty evaporator coils), gave me an *extremely* reasonable quote, and jumped right into it. Less than a couple of hours later, all was fixed and we were back to being cool! Sam talks you through his thought process, is completely transparent, and is very friendly. His estimates are super reasonable and he's definitely a fair guy. Highly recommend! read more

He said he could be here in 15 mins and he was here in 10. I really cannot ask for a better response time with that. Would recommend!

It was a pleasure working with Sam at Aktobe. He responded to my Yelp message quickly, offered a fair rate, and completed the work quickly. He came to my office on time and assessed our AC system. Our repair required a part, which Sam went and purchased for us. Sam completed the work quickly and explained the situation to me clearly. I will definitely be working with Sam and Aktobe in the future. read more

Great experience. I couldn't be happier with the service. Friendly, on-time, professional, and even fixed a problem that another company couldn't identify. I highly recommend. read more

Fantastic customer service and really good work by Sam. I called him about one of our mini-split units which was giving us some issues, and he came out the very next day (despite the fact that it wasn't an emergency), gave it a once-over, explained our issues in detail and gave BOTH of our mini-split units a cleaning. Not only that, but when I expressed that I wanted to be meticulous about preventative maintenance, he went out of his way to show me how to do what he was doing. Bonus points for being understanding of my dog, who barked in his face. We will definitely be calling Aktobe next time we need a hand with our ACs. read more

We had a great experience with Sam! Our mini split AC died right in the middle of a heat wave and we needed help quickly. Sam responded right away and was able to come see us the next day. He sorted us out quickly and got our AC working at a very reasonable cost. And he is a super nice man. I couldn't recommend him more highly. read more

Sam was great - he worked with us on short notice to fix the central AC in our apartment. We've had issues with it for over a year that the landlord was only providing temporary band aid fixes. Sam came, identified the root cause, and fixed the actual issue with our unit. Great service for a fair price. Thanks Sam! read more

It is not everyday that a company/business hits all the points I hold personally important. I value promptness, honesty, directness, and patience from any business I work with. Usually, I will get 2 out of the 4, or amazingly 3. Aktobe passed with a full 4/4! Sam quoted me fair price initially for an inspection, the lowest I received from anyone. After that, he called prior to coming to my home to let me know he was coming. He showed up on time as he stated and was ready to go! He took his time and carefully examined my system to find the best possible solution. The problem was a tricky one, and he found out what it was. He not only expressed what the problem was, but took videos and pictures to show me what it was and then took the time to explain what was happening step by step. Most businesses will just tell you this is how much and throw a bunch of lingo at you that will make your head spin. With Akotobe, I felt that we were working hand in hand to fix this issue and I felt confident every step of the way, never confused. Thank you so much again, and this has been one of the best home improvement projects I have had possibly ever!-Anthony read more
