This is one of the top reasons why I like Homeshield, the reassurance that if I find ants, they will do an "in between" service call! When William arrived, he explained that it could be the weather and/or neighbors having something to attract the ants (food, etc) Thank you William!! Very efficient and friendly! He offered to do a Follow up phone call in a week. Praying that Ants stay out!

Over the past two years, we've spent a significant amount of money with Homeshield to replace attic insulation and treat our home for rodent mites caused by repeated mouse infestations. Our insulation warranty was supposed to include service to prevent mice from re-entering the attic, yet new openings continue to appear and remain unaddressed. Each time an inspection is done, it takes weeks to schedule a follow-up appointment to actually seal the openings. Recently, after hearing mice again--now with a newborn in our home--we contacted Homeshield immediately. A technician quickly confirmed there were openings near our A/C line that needed to be patched, but for two weeks we were told they couldn't schedule the repair because the technician hadn't submitted the required diagram. When an appointment was finally scheduled, no repair was done--only additional traps were placed in the attic. After escalating the issue, we were told a manager could come re-inspect the home, but not until nearly a month after the initial report. At this point, I'm frustrated by the lack of follow-through and the amount of time I've had to spend chasing updates. We are simply not receiving the service promised under our insulation warranty and monthly maintenance plan, and we will likely be switching vendors soon. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend Homeshield Pest Control.

We stay up to date with our treatment program, and since starting it, we have yet to see another flea, ant, or even a spider. I cannot recommend this company enough.

We decided to move…read moreforward with them because the technician was honest, knowledgeable, and didn't try to upsell us on services we didn't need. We really appreciated that and felt confident choosing them. After the inspection, we scheduled an exterior treatment since it would still help with our bug issue. Before scheduling, we specifically asked multiple times whether we needed to be home, and we were assured that we did not. We provided clear instructions on how to access the back half of our house. Unfortunately, they never showed up--not once, but twice. We had to reach out three separate times, and despite that, no one came or communicated with us. We even kept our dogs locked up all day waiting because we expected the treatment to be done. We're disappointed because the technician made such a great first impression, but the lack of follow-through and communication has been frustrating. Reliability is just as important as good customer service, and unfortunately, that was missing from our experience.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and EVEN WORSE COMMUNICATION and no matter how many times I've called,…read moreleft call backs via their website - or even left a message with their own staff for a call back.. nothing for over a week. I've had service with this company for over a year now and in the beginning it went well - communication was still not best. I would never receive a reminder of treatment dates, and they were well aware of the need for my dogs to be brought into the house for services. An example: 11/25 original date, had to reschedule. Called phone number on website, multiple times x 1 week various hours left messages for call back and nothing. I even left multiple messages via their webpage for a call back - crickets! Finally with a woman who would not give me her name stated she never got any of the messages, no voicemails or any of my husband's calls or messages. Informed her this has happened numerous times and still continues, no empathy, no nothing. All I ask if for COMMUNICATION! Someone showed up the following week WITHOUT NOTIFICATION (mind you there is a note we have pets they need to be locked up and gate to be unlocked) they provided service for the front yard, and we asked the guy to put us down for Friday - he said okay. Friday came and gone ( they saw a note in their system but didn't bother to notify us that services could not be provided that day) once again NO-ONE COMMUNICATED! Spoke with Olga who confirmed an appointment 12/9 Which we were able to FINALLY get the backyard done. Husband and I said we'd give them a go one more time since they had mentioned they moved and changed numbers but still communication is key! There has been a note that we have pets and need communication via text for the date and time frame, we get quarterly service. Next date was 3/19 from 3-4pm. Received a text from their number on 3/10 stating our service will be on 3/19 between 3-4pm and there is a number to call if needing to be rescheduled. 3/19 and it's past the window. We call the number the woman go refuses to give me her name says our service is set for 3/23. I give her the phone number and ask why does this keep happening? She said I don't know. It's been one a YEAR and you still couldn't make it any better? Still HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. Cancelled service.

I received a text reminder confirming their technician's visit, yet I wasted an entire day waiting--only for them to be a no-show with no message or explanation. At this point, I canceled my service and switched to another pest control provider. Smart Pest Control shows no respect for their customers' time and provides poor service once you've signed up. STAY AWAY when their sales reps come knocking. I gave them plenty of opportunities, only to be left frustrated and angry.

This review is for this specific job!…read more Living in a wildlife preserve in San Clemente, we deal with a unique set of challenges, and having the right team makes all the difference. Sebastian and his crew were outstanding, but I especially want to recognize Erick. Erick is incredibly skilled, a true craftsman. His work as a carpenter is precise, thoughtful, and built to last, and his expertise in pest control is just as impressive. What really stood out, though, was his attitude. He's patient, kind, and takes the time to explain what he's doing and why, which builds a lot of trust. He didn't just come in, do the job, and leave, he followed through, checked every detail, and made sure everything was handled the right way. That level of care and accountability is rare. They are a large company, and I imagine it's not easy to maintain consistency across teams, but Sebastian and Erick are exactly the kind of employees you should be proud of. Their professionalism, dedication, and genuine care for "getting the job done" for customers set a very high standard. If you're lucky enough to have Erick assigned to your home, you're in excellent hands! NO BS, people's character speaks volumes.

NON STOP SPAM MESSAGING Found HomeShield when I clicked "get other bids" and have had non stop…read morespam from Zachariah daily spam requests. The best part? When I actually tried to get them to provide service THEY WEREN'T AVAILABLE Not sure if it's a real business or a bot farm but literally requested yesterday that they stop spamming me and Zachariah said my number was removed and here 9 hours later I get another one. Don't do business with a bot farm!
