They offer free inspections, so if you suspect termite issues, they will come out to check. At first, I was hesitant about tenting and fumigating due to the need to evacuate and clear out all the food in the building. So I asked for a quote on spot treatment. However, after seeing a bunch of termite damage in many areas, I realized fumigation might be the best option, since termites could be deeper inside where they might be undetected. Kevin came out for a 2nd visit, was very knowledgeable, and even found additional damage while providing quotes for repairs. I compared their prices with another company, and they were similar. Rachel patiently answered all my questions in email, and I selected the repairs I wanted done. Kevin the owner came by the house today to do a termite inspection for our patio cover and the home. He did a very thorough walk through of the entire exterior perimeter, making notes and letting us know of unrelated minor issues he saw with our exterior shutters, wood door in the backyard, etc. He then came inside the home and did another very thorough inspectrion of both attic crawl spaces and every room in the house. He spent over 1.5 hours here and then spent another 20-30 minutes explaining what he saw and what our options were which was that outside of the patio cover he saw no active termites but he did see some evidence of inactive dry termites in one of the attic spaces. We reviewed all the options and I chose to go with waiting another 2 years and calling him back to see if there is clearer evidence of active termites. I offered him some cash because I wanted to at least cover the cost of his gas but he refused multiple times. He revealed himself to be a business man of integrity and true desire to be helpful, informative, and honest, rather than making a quick buck. I honestly felt so badly for how much time I took out of his day for all his work and expertise. Looking forward to working with him for regular inspections and treatments should it be necessary in the future. Would highly recommend as it is not easy these days to find honest people who aren't just out recommend unncessary treatments to keep their business going! read more

Kevin, the owner, is really nice and knowledgeable. He came out to my home to inspect for termites and spent a good amount of time explaining about things to look for, maintenance for the future, expectations, and costs. Saddleback termites was not the cheapest of the 3 companies I had quote my home, but Kevin had a presence of honesty and trustability that I liked. I decided in good faith to hire saddleback termites for the fumigation/tenting of my home. Yared, his manager communicates through email and she was fast in her response. It's important to note that saddleback hires a third party company to actually do the fumigation and tenting. The company is called 1st fumigation. Now this is where I became uneasy. Yared informs me that house keys and a garage door opener must be given to the third party company and that I could not drop off the keys directly to saddleback to pass along to 1st fumigation. I either had to meet them the day of, at my home to pass the keys or keep them in a lockbox. I was weary of an unknown company to have my house keys or have access to my home but I trusted saddleback and their screening process for contracting out work. The fumigation/tenting was a 2.5 day process. Which meant we were not home for 2.5 days and I needed to completely trust this company to be in my home and to also lock up. As much as I appreciate that items were not missing when I came home, I was extremely disappointed and disgusted to find that all 3 restrooms had been used and there were urine splatters/stains on the toilet seats! I know that this was not from us as I made sure to clean the home, including the bathrooms, before I left for the fumigation. The home was clean. The bathrooms were clean. It's really hard not to be upset when you are vulnerable and needing to trust strangers in your home to do a professional job but find an unprofessional job in your restrooms. To be clear, my disappointment is with the third party company hired. Kevin has been wonderful in reaching out to me in a timely manner and apologizing. He has informed me that he has notified the owner of 1st fumigation regarding the incident. I truly appreciate being heard. As for saddleback termites, I will hire them again in the future because I do like the following qualities: 1) Yared does respond quickly to calls or emails. Many other companies have terrible customer service and it takes days to get a response. But not with saddleback termites, I got a response usually the same day! 2) Kevin, the owner, is a very approachable and like-able guy. Very kind and honest. Takes his time to inspect the property and discuss procedures and expectations. More importantly, you can tell he really cares about his company and takes pride in good work.
