Their customer service is nonexistent, their scheduling and coordination is beyond poor, and their service techs do whatever they want without permission from the homeowner. Rundown of what happened-- A tech from Newport Exterminator showed up to my house without any appointment. The reason I know this is because I had a full on conversation with a tech on my Ring camera when I was not at the property. I stated to the tech that, "no appointment was ever made and I never received a notification of their presence at my home." After I told the service tech (on my Ring camera) that I do not authorize him to spray the exterior of the property, he went ahead and did it anyway after agreeing not to spray. Again, I have this on camera. The worst part about is that I also have this tech on camera damaging some of my personal property with his ladder. After seeing the footage, I was extremely upset. I contacted Powerstone (my sub association) and they put me in contact with Debbie from Newport Exterminator. I called Debbie directly and told her exactly what happened. I also sent her my Ring camera videos via email. Debbie claimed that she would speak to the owner and get back to me for a solution. Well, three weeks and three emails later, I haven't heard anything from Debbie or this ridiculous excuse of a company. The experience left me so livid that I plan to go to the next HOA board meeting with Powerstone (my sub association) and present a case to switch from Newport Exterminator to Terminix. My job/company is contracted with Terminix/Rentokil. I can vouch that they provide competitive rates, wonderful customer service and knowledgeable techs. The only way this company will actually get something done is if their money source is taken from them. Then, they will be forced to provide customers with what they deserve. GOOD SERVICE! I wanted to have a good opinion of this company but ended up having quite a bad and disappointing experience across several phone calls with customer service and the person who came out to do the service. Also, over a week's time I've not been able to reach a supervisor according to customer service who always say he's out of the office and not reachable. I was given a host of wrong information over the phone about needing to remove my belongings so i took a day off work and moved out 50% of my belongings just to have the service man day of say the only thing he could do was spray the baseboards. He was at my house for less than 10 minutes. He refused to check anything in the house to see where the problem might be coming from, and refused to look for openings that could be sealed up to prevent or reduce the problem. In short, the service held almost no value at great time and expense to me. His parting words were that I'll probably still have pests because he couldn't say that spraying the baseboards would even do anything. read more

They vacated all 13 units at once and when we were all gone and the units were tented 4 out of the 13 units were ransacked and robbed. Mine was unfortunately one that was robbed. They took my safe which included things that I can never replace. The police and I are convinced that it was an inside job done by one of the many people that they used while tenting. . In fairness they gave the 4 of us a $200.00 gift card. That was used by us to replant the dead landscaping that they left behind. Think twice before using this company.D read more

I was told after they did punch holes in bathroom wall to exterminate, i would be charge an additional $450.00 to repair what they just did. repair wood trimming, paint walls and trimming where they left holes. First to note; when you hire a fumigation company you are actually dealing with two different entities. The company you have do your inspection plus any needed wood repair. The other is the company that actually puts on the tarp and sets off the gas. I interviewed two companies for my house in San Juan Capistrano and no I didn't go with the lowest bid. So why did I go with Newport? Their attention to detail; starting with the inspector and the subsequent report for service. Not only did Newport point out more problem areas, but the report the "other" company did didn't even have the boxes checked as to what the problem was (termite, dry rot, etc.). Just as I judge a person by the company they keep, I judge a company by the employees they keep. Jose Ortiz was our inspector. He not only took the time to thoroughly inspect our property, but took the time to explain what he was finding and what the process would be to correct the problems, of which there were many. Then there was Debbie Ogle in the office that held my hand the whole time. Very responsive to my worries and concerns having never been through this before. Last but by all means not least are the workers that do the wood repair/replacements. Alfredo and John make an excellent team. Alfredo is a true craftsman. He tells me he has worked for the company for over twenty years. The wood repairs were a three-day project at the end of which they left my property clean and orderly. And then there is the fumigation company that Newport hires to do the tenting and fumigation. This was the part of the project I was really dreading having read so many horror stories and having to sign releases for damage to roof, plants, electrical, and sprinklers. Quality Pest Services Inc. completely surprised me. We did lose one hedge, but I was expecting so many more to have been damaged. They did everything they could to save the plants. And yes, they did break one sprinkler, but OMG if they didn't repair it! They did nick one interior corner which I assume must have been done with either a ladder or perhaps one of the fans, but no big deal, we're going to have the house painted. All and all, I give them a ten-star rating. Five for Newport Exterminating and five for Quality Pest Services. I would recommend them both to friends and family without hesitation read more

Luckily I saw this so im not eating off bug killer because there's nothing about this in any directions. Then, i said he can spray in all open cupboards...he sprayed in closed ones too. Eric showed up in the early portion of his two hour time window he gave and I left the side gate open for him to do his business. I can tell he sprayed thoroughly as he walked all the way around the perimeter of the house and back. Great customer service, super simple and Kimber stayed she would just send me a bill as an existing customer. I'll wait for that to arrive and settle it, I believe we paid about $70-$75 last time and it's totally worth it because we didn't need to spray for about two years after the initial service, not ants for two years in the summer is amazing and saves you on countless Terro traps and all the mess. I have been a client for over 10 years, yet the rude admin people there call you for a supposedly unpaid bill from 2 years ago, where they never replied to multiple problems reported in writing. As for operations, they tented my house 2 years ago and damaged walls, roof, back yard. Never returned calls, never replied to emails. Not to mention their never ending IT problems not able to send or receive emails for months, last time I dealt with them. Avoid these people. They were probably properly managed many years ago and built a reputation, but in the past 4 years, they have been a disaster to deal with. I did not have my house fumigated but my next door neighbor, zero property line did on Sept 29th 2022. My plants on the side yard were trampled, pulled out and trashed. I had 2 large terracotta pots broken and a wrought iron plant stand. My gate to my yard was blocked and items behind gate were pulled away, fine, but not put back. I was left with a mess, dirt on walkway from uprooted plants. I called Newport and was "handled" in a nice way. Evidently Newport sub contracts out the tenting, etc and takes no responsibility for damages. After 2 weeks I was referred to a handler? from the company Newport subcontracted to and Abraham came out to access. He told me that my plants would eventually grow back. I, with my gardeners help worked several hours to clean up the beds and filled my trash bin overflowing with ruined plants. At this time the fumes from the tenting was killing the plants which remained. More work for me. Abraham offered me a $50 gift card to Home Depot adding insult t injury. The pots and stand were way over the amount. No compensation for the mess they left, nothing. I disagreed and stated that at the very least I would need $150. to repair some damages. Abraham said he was not authorized to release that amount but would come by the following week with a gift card and asked if I would be home. Nothing I started calling Newport back, leaving messages with no reply or follow up, It is now Nov, 7th and I am not happy or compensated. The contractors working on the house say they are not responsible, Newport Exterminators denies responsibility and the cub contractor is like , "Oh Well," I would never recommend this company for 1. They sub contract out the work, 2. will not assume responsibility for disregard to private property. I am a senior and having to clean up after this was very taxing on my body. Full transparency I have not used this companies services, however I did have an interaction with one of their employees or possible owner. While driving driving on the 5 South I made a lane change using my indicator into a lane with more than adequate space. The person who was then behind me was unhappy with not being first on the freeway and proceeded to flash their brights at me. I moved over and they sped up next to me to give me the middle finger while in a Newport Exterminating company vehicle. Shocked and appalled at such unprofessional behavior I'm here with hopes to keep someone else from having to deal with this persons terribly aggressive behavior.
