I call Hart's extermination because I had what looked to be rats around my property The company representative Tracey is a great guy he performed a complete inspection, including the attic and determined that I did in fact had rat infestation and that they had not gone in the attic of my home, he placed a bait box outside the area, where the rats shown to be although the bait box did not deter the rats after one month. I was successful using rat traps. I would recommend this company as they are very easy to work with. read more

I'll start off by saving I have not used their services. But whoever is driving the gray Toyota Tundra has no disregard for the safety of others. Clearly distracted doing something else in the truck while swerving into other lanes nearly hitting my car and cars parked along the side of the street. All I know is that if I need a pest extermination service, I will not be contracting a company who allows someone so incompetent behind the wheel. If they can't even drive, how can we be so sure they will deal with pests in a safely manner? What a great company, from setting up an appointment to getting an inspection just a first class job. Compared to the another termite company they gave me an estimate. These guys were so honest they actually checked things and told me at this point I don't need anything done but to come back when I do. Rats took over my ductwork. Totally gross! Tracy set a bunch of traps but also located possible entry points and sealed they off. Harts fumigated my home after a neighbor recommended them. They gave an estimate then without my knowledge subcontracted out the fumigating process. The partner who wrote the estimate which included a detached pergola was not here on the day of the fumigation, instead strangers showed up. They were uninformed about the pergola and skipped it and were rough and fast. I was told by Harts that I would be responsible if any tiles on my roof were broken, but that they would let me know if they had broken any. The representative of Harts was not here when the renting was taken down. I was there as I was there when the tents were put on. I asked the strange company that had been subcontracted for the tenting if any tiles were broken. They said no. I just had my chimney cleaned and found out that 24 tiles had been completely broken and that I was facing significant leaks when the winter rains come. The roofing people I consulted said it would cost $1500 to fix. Harts Pest Control is not reliable nor honest! The man that came out was nice but he was not honest, nor did he take accountability for not being here when his subcontractors started and ended the tenting process. The cost I paid Harts was $7600 and the pergola was skipped and I must pay the roofing company for the damages that they said did not occur! Do not trust this company, they might seem nice but the job was a disaster! read more

My parents hired Harts Extermination to repair and replace some damaged facia board. They did an overall good job except for one obvious small hole that I felt could be an entry point for more termites. I emailed Mark and let him know of the spot that I was not satisfied with and they had someone out the very next day to access it. They agreed that this needed to be repaired and the next day, someone was out to complete the repair. I was pretty happy with the 48 hour response and repair. We received an invoice at our door for monthly service at our condo, but they never did the service. I left Mark a message to call me and instead he had the service technician call me. The technician said he was there and left the bill, but would not admit that he did nothing. We have 4 cameras around the building that clearly show him walking onto the property, leaving a bill at the door and walking off the property. All time stamped. What a scam. What they did is stealing and the owner does not even care. Unacceptable. read more

What a great company! For the last week we'd been smelling something coming from our floor vents -- most likely something that had died. Finally we decided that it would be a good idea to get it checked out. Being new to the area, I had no idea who to call, so checked out Yelp, and Harts showed up. They were close, and had great reviews. So I gave them a call shortly after they opened. I spoke with Anna, who was great, and told her the situation. She said that she would check with "her guys" to see if someone could come out later in the day and would get back to me. Within 10 minutes I received a phone call saying that Darren would be by between 2:00-5:00. Perfect! Darren showed up at about 3:30, and we talked about the odor. He checked things out inside, and then proceeded to crawl around under the house, checking for the source of the smell. Nothing turned up. He said that if we really wanted to find the source he could start ripping things apart, but the smell would dissipate within another 7-10 days. In the meantime he suggested that we used some industrial-strength deodorizer to help. He could do it & charge us $150 or we could go to one of the home improvement stores, buy it for less than $15, and do it ourselves. We chose the latter. As he was dusting himself off I asked what we owed him and he said nothing. Nothing! We were stunned! He'd spent about 20 minutes checking out things, and didn't charge us for his time. You know, people like Darren and his company are few and far between. He went a LONG way to establish some good will with us, and we will be singing his praises to whoever needs his kind of help. It is so difficult to find dependable and honest service providers. Mark Hart is that guy. A couple years ago, I had a termite problem at two exterior parts of my house and in an inside wall (we found the droppings in my living-room). We had a couple companies come out. One was giving me a hard sell on tenting my house. I don't like the idea of pumping chemical gas inside my house. And it was expensive! Mark came out at our arranged time and treated the areas locally for a fraction of the price that the other company wanted for tenting. Mark was very reasonable in cost and a really nice guy who knew what he was doing. He offered to replace the wood that was damaged, but I had my contractor do it since he was working on other parts of my house. Mark gave me useful advice--the best way to prevent termites is to keep a good coat of paint on your house. Fast forward two years, I just had him come back out to do an inspection since I'm getting ready to paint the exterior. Mark scheduled a time that was convenient for me, came right on time and did a very thorough inspection. Lucky me! No problems. But in the future, I keep his number handy in case I have future problems. He's my go-to termite guy. read more

I wouldn't recommend Hart's. We had to get them to replace wood vs filling, and every time they gave us bs excuses why they weren't replacing the wood. And when we came to have the house painted, we discovered termite damage Hart's should have found. We also discovered poorly filled and painted wood Hart's could and should have replaced. They have get-out clauses in their small print that excuses their poor workmanship. We paid a lot of money for poor work. We are not picky people. I would not use this company again read more
