My husband and I showed up on a weeknight last week at 830pm. We sat on bar side/patio area. Food was wonderful, bartender Amanda so sweet and made me a unique yummy drink. Tyler the Manager was nice, professional and cared about our experience. Thumbs up on the FOOD. My Cod dinner was amazing as well as the Kale salad and Atmostphere. Good food. Good service. Good sized portions... Even for Restaurant Week and prime time on a Saturday. Would recommend reservations on the weekend. Street parking and only had to park a block away. Would go back. Apparently brunch is awesome according to our server. read more

Amazing atmosphere! It's absolutely gorgeous inside and out! I'm obsessed with the wine slushees!!!! The food is great too!

amazing patio and great pricing for happy hour. Mussels for like $6 classically prepared? um YES! Wine slushies will get cha quick... The pretzel bites did taste microwaved (in all fairness what did I think they were doing to heat them up?) and the vibe of the male servers who sat us and served us were super off in the beginning. Luckily they warmed up a bit by the end. We would recommend ! read more

Amazing food and environment. Jess was the best waitress! Would come back for her service alone!

Great atmosphere. Came here for brunch! Great drinks and food was amazing! Had the nachos and double mimosa. Outdoor patio is perfect during the summer. I highly recommend for a fun weekend brunch spot! read more

This new hidden gem is going to be a staple in Denver! Great space and amazing outdoor eating/patio. Food was top notch and drinks were suburb! Try the slushy drink! It's pretty stellar! Service was quick and everyone was very friendly. Owner came and talked to us, very impressed with the whole place. read more

This spot is amazing and knocking safe dinning out of the park. I love their vegan options and they staff is always so nice and well informed. They drinks are also out of the park. So glad to be able to chill on the patio again! read more

Beautiful inside and out. Really loud but I'll put that on me. Service was very good. Ordered a vodka tonic wasn't good. They didn't have many choices of vodka? Still hopeful... Our group ordered and our meal came out. I shared a beet salad, thin slices of golden beets, arugula and globs of cranberries, hmmmm. I got gnocchi michiocan with chicken. Gnocchi was good, I liked the added spice, the chicken seemed precooked, then warmed up (a bit) and dry, very dry with no flavor. My friend ordered the same with matching result. Sigh, again beautiful inside, friendly service but the food and drinks were not worth the price. I really wanted it to be great, maybe my expectations are too high. I hope it gets better. It's a beautiful place. read more

I wish I could give zero starts. I am completely disappointed in Acova and the manager that was on duty when my family and I ate there this past Sunday. I made reservations on Open Table back in June. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were taken to outdoor seating. Since Acova prides itself on having the best patio in Denver, we were happy to be sitting outside. However, when we got to our table, we were being seated in the back corner of the deck in direct sun. No umbrellas, no shade of any kind despite the fact that the rest of the patio has plenty of shade as well as misters. It was easily 90 degrees with no cloud cover so we requested other seating or some sort of shade. The manager said they had no other seating (despite the patio only having 2 tables being used) and no way to provide any shade. During our meal, our silverware became so hot we had to dip it in our ice water to be able to eat our food. Our table and the table next to us decided to use our cloth napkins for shade and literally put them on our heads. One member of our party ended up getting a migraine from the heat and I ended up with a sunburn. When I spoke to the manager again, she informed me that it was impossible for the owner to find any umbrellas at any store and that all she could do for me was take one drink off of our bill. When we went to leave, there was an entire side of the patio near the bar area that had all of its tables completely open and was right under the misters. I will never eat here again nor recommend this place to anyone. I'm appalled at the way we were treated. Note for the manager- King Soopers and Walmart have plenty of outdoor umbrellas right now. Nice excuse. -update after response from manager: Excuse me for being inaccurate in my post, I made my reservation on July 1, 19 days in advance. When we arrived at the restaurant, the sign directly out front said "best patio in Denver". My party was nothing but respectful and kind to the staff and our waitress was great. None of this is their fault and we knew that. I was respectful when speaking with the manager, despite her clearly not caring that I had to cool my silverware off in my ice water in order to be able to eat without burning myself. We had no idea that we would need to specifically request seating that did not require having to do so in order to eat our meal. What is bewildering is the fact that it was the middle of July in Denver and a restaurant with an outdoor patio does not even have an umbrella for its guests. It had absolutely nothing to do with social distancing or COVID-19. I'm not sure how long you've been open, but I'm sure it's been long enough for you to have complaints from other guests about this issue. We know we were not the only ones miserable because the man at the table across from us was complaining to us as well. We did nothing wrong by expecting minimal comfort while at your restaurant but apparently that is too much to ask. read more

Came to Acova for a date night and it was perfect. Food was delicious, service was excellent, and the atmosphere is so fun. We'd recommend sitting on the patio-it's great! read more

We just finished lunch at Acova. It was delicious and the patio is one of the best I've been on in LoHi. The owner was great - he told us all about their celiac friendly kitchen and gave us samples of their organic wine slushies (amazing). We will definitely be back very soon!! read more

Excellent food and ambiance. For Italian heavy dishes, they certainly have a lot of Gluten Free options. Short rib, bolognese, squid, chocolate torte all awesome. Nice non alcoholic drinks like lavender lemonade. Great service. Nice outdoor patio with plenty of umbrellas to shelter from the elements. One of best restaurants in Dencer for sure! read more

My friend with celiac was in town so I found Acova for her special birthday dinner. The menu was so accommodating to different diets but flavor did not disappoint. The food was incredible and the atmosphere was so cute. We met the owner who provided incredible service and she was just so sweet. I'm already planning to return! read more

While being seated with 5:30 reservations, we were notified by the hostess that we'd have to be finished by 7:45 because of another reservation! This place is very loud as it fills up. Food quality is marginal, at best. Our server, Mary, was excellent. She normally buses tables but was filling in this evening. Our good fortune! read more

I am so excited!! I work right across the street at Second Nature and having something so delicious so close is amazing.

We were a group of 11, with four being celiac. What a treat for them to be able to have fish & chips and fried chicken! The food was delicious, with several choices for our one vegan as well. Service was friendly and efficient; the atmosphere casual, comfortable and welcoming. A wonderful option for everyone, regardless of dietary needs. read more

Delicious food and drink! Outstanding decor! Glad to have this gem in the neighborhood!!!

What a gem this place is. The ambience is awesome, the decor is so hip and cool. Betsy is the owner and has celiac disease, so the menu is perfect for someone with celiac. Tons of options, all safe, the waitress (Katherine ) was very familiar with gluten-free dining and cross-contamination. We had delicious fried chicken, nachos, Caesar salad. I wish we had more time to go back a second time. read more

Great service, wonderful food, many options for people who are meat eaters, vegetarians, and/or gluten free! Music was very enjoyable, outdoor patio is beautiful! We will definitely be going again! read more

This place is delicious! They have great happy hour prices! And if you have any allergies they are super accommodating! Also, our waitress Danielle was one of the best waitresses I have ever had! We will definitely be back!! read more

This place looked fantastic from the reviews. We walked in and a girl greeted us and said she'd be back. Then another woman walked up and asked if we'd been helped, I said that someone greeted us and there was a possibility of her helping us. Then the woman got real snotty with me and told me that what I said meant nothing and she didn't know what to do based on that. Then she started talking down to me, every word elongated, big spaces between each one. She told me they didn't have space for us, which usually would have made me want to come back more. I don't think I'll ever come back, even if it is super toddler friendly. I feel especially terrible about it because she made me feel so unwanted that I apologized to her for even trying to come there, and not in any sardonic manner either. To top it off, she told me she was an owner. I hope she doesn't talk to her employees this way. No one deserves to feel the way she made me feel. I don't care how good the food and atmosphere is, it's no longer worth it for me. I hope her business partners hold her accountable and she never treats anyone this way again. Thanks for making me feel like worthless, lady. read more

Second time here . Both visits the service was excellent. Had the Kale / Brussel Sprout Salad this time and it was fantastic ! Good spot for weekend brunch. read more

Nice decor but the food and drink was mediocre. Their fish and chips consisted of fish and potato chips, not fries. Someone needs to tell the cook that in England french fries are called chips. They served a gin and tonic with club soda instead of tonic, two times! Had to send it back each time to get it right. It's just another new Denver restaurant without culture or class. read more

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. We were searching for a restaurant in this area with good gluten-free options for my husband who has celiac disease. We really hit the jackpot on this one. Almost everything on the menu is either GF or can be modified to be GF. My husband was able to have fried chicken, one of his all-time favorites! And we shared this incredible fried apple doughnut dessert. As others have said, one of the owners has celiac and so does their son. They know how to prepare safe food and their staff are extremely knowledgeable. My daughter lives in the area and commented that the prices were some of the most reasonable they have found. The atmosphere is really nice too. If we lived here, we would frequent this place regularly. read more

The place is has celiac friendly amazing gluten free food. The owner and service are amazing! Try the apple donuts...they are fantastic. They also have a sensory friendly playground for supervised kids. This is a win all the way around. read more

My husband and I tried Acova last Friday for dinner - the reviews looked great and we hadn't tried it despite living in the neighborhood. I really liked the ambience - unlike many other west Denver restaurants, Acova was spacious and the noise volume was reasonable. I'm leaving only 3 stars because the food left QUITE a bit to be desired. We ordered the ahi tuna polenta appetizers and it was obvious the fish was several days old. Similarly, I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and the lobster was chewy and extremely fishy, so also far from fresh (i.e. it did not arrive in Denver recently). My husband ordered the fried chicken, and it really was not fried chicken. It was a somewhat breaded chicken breast we could have made at home, with a bland sauce. If you're a fried chicken fan you would be grossly disappointed. Despite all this, we would return in case we just ordered terribly. I'd be willing to try something else - every other table ordered the nachos which looked good... read more

Pretty wide variety of food as others have pointed out, but not sure that should be a negative. Food was terrific, happy hour prices can't be beat, and the service was terrific. Comfy and beautiful space, very inviting. Will return! read more

Super fresh fun and fun hip little breakfast/brunch restaurant. Most of the gals got the avocado toast which came with a nice large chunk of smoked salmon and capers on top. However I got the tamales and they were definitely the talk of the table, really good. I was going to get the chilaquiles but glad I didn't because they actually come with corn chips, not (fried/traditional) corn tortillas. Really fun atmosphere and service was great! read more

Horrible experience! I just wish our poor wait person didn't have to be a part of this review because she was great. Unfortunately, a woman came up uncomfortably close to us as we were eating and sharing photos with each other, interrupting our conversation saying she "likes to go around and meet people". We were taken aback as she clearly rudely interrupted us, and then she said she was the owner. I guess we were supposed to humor her and stop enjoying our time together. We did, and she left. At the end of the evening, with only one of us still eating, she came back as she circulated the empty patio with a smoking smudge stick. As she approached our table, I asked her if she "could please give us a minute to finish eating as the smoke was bothering my allergies and ruining the taste of my food". Instead of moving away, she sat down on the bench next to us, smudge stick in hand, and proceeded to explain she was getting rid of the negative energy. I responded by saying that we were paying for this meal and wanted to finish enjoying it. Others at our table began asking her to please leave and let us finish our dinner, which she refused to do at first until she finally got up in a huff and left muttering under her breath. We paid and tipped our wait person and left. Would never go back because of the owner. read more

We got there a little before our reservation and they were able to seat us right away. Tried it out for restaurant week. Our server was great and the food was awesome! Got the affogato for dessert, it was so delicious! We will be back to try more on the menu. read more

Our server Brittany was absolutely amazing and went out of her to way to make our experience incredible! Delicious food as well

Great place for Sunday happy hour. My diet is vegetarian and gluten-free, and Acova offered some interesting and tasty options, like the GF apple donuts. Nice ambiance, friendly staff, yay! read more

What an amazing experience. From the moment you walk through the door into this beautiful space, you know you are in for a real treat. I hosted a large event at Acova in their newly renovated back patio space and it went incredible. Betsy, the owner, worked with our singles club to create a fun space that allowed for mingling and interaction including human checkers and corn hole. Their back patio is BEAUTIFUL - a perfect area for a social happy hour with a large group. From there, my group sat down for dinner. Their menu is diverse and delicious, offering a little bit of everything to satisfy everyone. Service the entire night of both food and drinks was quick and stress free, and even the separation of checks at the end of the night went swimmingly! I HIGHLY recommend heading towards Acova if you are looking for anything from a drink (I recommend the frozen wine ;)), to apps, or even a hearty meal. This spot will satisfy all your cravings, and their top notch service will top it off. Can't wait to go back! read more

Ordered the Honey Stung Fried Chicken because it was recommended by my son, who had it the week before and recommended it. I was underwhelmed. A breast filet, slathered in mush, uniform in texture, overcooked and bland. If there was honey, I couldn't taste it. If anything was stung, it would have been me. read more

Found this restaurant on a recent trip to Denver. I love it. Food and service are excellent. The staff and owner are very friendly. I have to eat gluten free and this place has amazing menu items made gluten free. I tried several items and all were amazing. Great atmosphere, too. Plus it's located in a cool neighborhood. Can't wait to get back to Denver so I can eat here again. read more

Amazing place. So many gluten free options!!!! I will be back, a lot. Gluten free fried chicken and wine slushees?! Yup.

Five stars easy. We had one of the best dining experiences in recent memory. The atmosphere is great. The service was exceptional. Taylor was our server. She is a delight and I don't use that word. She knew the menu for both the food and wine very well. There were so many choices that looked delicious that we ordered too much food and had to take some home. I had osso boco and my wife had lobster Mac and cheese. Both were excellent. The wine list is pretty short but there were several good choices. The wine was not overpriced like you see way too often. The food prices are also quite reasonable. Highly recommended. read more

If you make it in during their happy hour around 3pm make sure you try the Street Taco's! They're delicious. The wings were also great and I would certainly recommend them to anyone stopping in. read more

I didn't get to enjoy the food (And I could care less because I'm never coming back) because my reservation put me at a table in the sun and my mother in law has skin cancer. However, that wasn't enough to accommodate us or help us in any way. There were plenty of other covered tables available that they could have easily switched us to, but there system is "fixed" and they couldn't do that. I have never in my life been to a restaurant where they did nothing to accommodate different seating, especially for a party with a reservation. Get a new system or be more courteous to your customers. We didn't like your answer, but the delivery was the ultimate reason for writing this review. No effort was made whatsoever. Their response was the tables in the shade are also reserved. Okay, that's fine- if that specific table was reserved then make some effort to put us somewhere else instead of instantly providing a stern "No". As a pretty reasonable person who usually gives businesses the benefit of the doubt, I felt compelled to get this out of my system. Don't come here if you want actual customer service. read more
