Acova was a great find in Denver! We enjoyed sitting on the patio, and the gluten-free food was delicious. I always appreciate a restaurant with great gluten-free options that don't feel like an afterthought. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

Such a great experience last night at Acova! The service was great and the food came out pretty quickly. Would definitely recommend the Pirogies and the artichoke fritters for a starter. We split an entree and the server plated it separate for us which was so nice and easier to share. We got the fried apple donuts for dessert with vanilla ice cream and it was the perfect end to the meal. We will definitely come again because their menu is pretty large and varied so lots to try!

Acova is in LoHi and tucked in a residential on some streets. It's next to some other shops and bars. I arrived on a Friday night and it was pretty full of people. We thankfully got sat quickly without a reservation. The inside is nice and ambient lighting. It also has an indoor/outdoor bar which I'm sure is great in the summer. I mainly came here because I knew they had tomato basil soup and I was having a strong craving. To start I got the queso fundido because of a place has it on the menu, I must try. I asked if it could be done without meat and our server said no - that it was premade. Honestly, this was just okay queso. Definitely not authentic or anything like actual queso fundido. Would not order again. The soup was good! Not the best I've ever had but definitely good. The only thing was we ordered a soup but didn't specify and got the small size. I would specify a bowl if you want a meal sized portion. The grilled cheese that came with it was tasty! The chicken Caesar wrap was fine. Portion is sorta small but glad it comes with a side. Nothing too special. Overall the place is nice, staff is friendly and food is fine. I wouldn't particularly want to return but if a friend suggested, I'd give it another shot.

Both dishes I had here were phenomenal! And the cocktails were delish. I like that the menu had a variety of food and wasn't locked in to a certain cuisine type. It's a pretty moody spot and would be good for a date night or girls night. Also our waitress was simply the cutest and was laughing with us all night. 10/10!

This one may be tough to beat! We tried our luck making a last minute reservation at Acova to celebrate a birthday last night and were completely wowed. Every single sip and bite left us wanting more, and the service was the best I've seen in a while! Our server Nathan(I believe), was attentive, incredibly knowledgeable on the menu, was able to adapt our orders to each person's preference or dietary needs, we have some GF and vegan orders, he ALSO did it entirely by memory, rattling back each of our 7 orders exactly. Each of the GF orders also had very clear GF markers, which was highly appreciated! In short, we were blown away! Service aside, this spot is also beautifully decorated, a more upscale casual vibe, perfect for really any crowd! I think it's safe to say this place has earned the spot of "first suggestion" from me.

My friend and I were looking for lunch and stumbled upon Acova. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty, it took a moment before we were greeted and seated. However, the service dramatically improved once we were seated. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and gave good recommendations. After ordering, our food came out fairly promptly. I had the squid fra diavolo and the honey stung fried chicken. The squid fra diavolo had the perfect amount of spice and a hearty amount of squid. The fried chicken was also good. However, I felt the chicken could have come with a bit more honey. This was quickly remedied by the server who immediately got me more honey! But the more pressing issue was the whipped potatoes, which were unevenly heated and even had cold spots. Overall, Acova pairs good service with tasty food. I would definitely recommend Acova if you're in the area, but the food quality might not be top-notch.

Love all the gluten free options, but after trying the Benedict I think their food is just ok. My potatoes were overcooked, and when I asked for replacements the replacements were also a little overcooked (if slightly less so). I wasn't expecting the Italian Benedict to have crispy procuitto, although the polenta was good. The drinks however, were excellent. Loved the wine slushy and I also got the old fashioned slushy, which was amazing. I would absolutely come back for drinks and happy hour, but would probably skip the food. Our server Zo was very friendly, and I still love the decor.

Wow wow wow! This place is phenomenal! You will not be disappointed by the food or service here! We all loved our dishes and couldn't stop saying how delicious it was. We also had the best server who got us drinks quickly, placed our order to the kitchen as soon as we were ready and even got us out dessert even though the kitchen was about to close. The restaurant itself has a bar side and a dining side. Both options are very nice, if you want something causal the bar side is the recommendation and for something more intimate or formal the dining area is best. Hope you enjoy!

The queso was a little bland but we both enjoyed our entrees. The drinks were great! We were in a little bit of a rush and they were able to get us in and out pretty quickly. The outdoor patio is great on a nice day.

Potato and Cheese Pierogis

One of my favorite outdoor spots in Denver. The patio and outdoor bar are top notch and a great spot to grab a drink in the evenings. I've came here and gotten food a few times. A few of the things I've tried include the pierogis as an appetizer, prime rib dip, and honey stung fried chicken. Everything that I've had has been really good, and I think it's reasonably priced and a good value for a spot in LoHi. Will continue to return and recommend as one of the best vibes to grab a drink and enjoy nice weather downtown.

Tacos, now these are pretty-looking!

Acova is a really nice spot and perfect before/after a show at The Bug Theather across the street. I was really impressed with the food last time I went, Ahi tostada and the veggie stuffed poblano pepper -- which the server recommended the cheese sauce on the side and I agree! I just needed a side of chips, lol. Most seats are inside and they have a few outside, as well. I can't say anything bad about Acova! It's got a trendy vibe, too.

We had a good experience here, ending the food and service. Cocktails were good too! It's not too loud, and has outdoor seating when the weather is nice.

I came here because I heard it was a good gluten free (GF) spot - and for the most part it was! There are tons of GF options on the menu, which is a pro. The only reason I have a 3 and not a 4 or 5 stars, is because I have had better quality GF food before. Unfortunately, the GF biscuit I had was incredibly dry...perhaps old? Now my GF people know that we are always just thankful to have options... but at the same time... I want a tasty and fresh option! It could have been an off day or an old batch of biscuits or something. I would still give this place a try, especially if you're gluten free and just need literally any option for yourself, and because there's a ton more GF stuff on the menu. The ambiance is cute, the service was good - the rest was fine!

Also the fact that from what I could tell the speciality here for drinks is their espresso martinis which I am a huge fan of. The overall vibes and decor did not disappoint! They had dim lighting with red and spooky decor including a coffin you could take pictures in. First night we came here we snagged some bar seats and received stellar service from all the bartenders but Michelle in particular made us feel like regulars and we had a great time chatting with her. We ended up booking a reservation and revisiting a second time because the drinks and service were so great! With the spot being busy during both our visits the bartenders expertly handled the chaos like it was nothing, very impressive. They had so many good sounding special espresso martinis it was tough to pick. My wife loved the red velvet the most and also enjoyed a pumpkin spice too. I sampled a variety including Tiramisu, Peanut Butter Cup, Cookies & Cream, and a S'mores version. All of them had incredible flavor and I don't think I could pick a favorite honestly. That's when I came across Dearly Departed and I'm so glad I did. We arrived right when they opened at 5pm and were able to walk in and be seated immediately. The speakeasy is tucked into the underground portion of the restaurant, which adds to the charm. The space is beautifully decorated, moody, intimate, and effortlessly upscale. It truly sets the tone the moment you walk down. We ordered two spritzes and a charcuterie board, and both exceeded expectations. The drinks were refreshing, perfectly balanced, and felt elevated without being overcomplicated. But the real star was the charcuterie board. For $20, it was an incredible value, stacked with a variety of meats, cheeses, fresh veggies, nuts, and peppers. The freshly grilled bread was a standout touch, and the portions were more than generous. Every bite felt thoughtfully curated, and there was something new and delicious in every corner of the board. Between the ambiance, the quality of the drinks, and the impressive food, Dearly Departed delivered an experience that felt both cozy and refined. I'd absolutely recommend checking it out for the atmosphere alone. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu.

That certainly held true. Ramble helped us set up a reservation which was great because every time we went through the lobby/Death & Co. it was busy. Our first experience here was room service getting their Drunkin Cookies and wow these were delicious and the perfect end to our first night. Now onto our full experience here. The entire area is beautifully designed and feels like a high-end cocktail bar without being pretentious. Every member of staff we interacted with were phenomenal as well and even with shift changes/breaks for members of staff they kept our experience running smoothly! They also wanted to make sure us as well as other parties knew us enjoyed their cocktails they ordered and would change them out if that was not the case (which did happen to a table next to us). Really a text book example of what you want from service! Cocktail wise my wife and I knew we needed to sample more than one each. Some more traditional offerings but a lot of unique drinks on their menu. I first tried Ghost Machine, imagine a spicy cocktail mixed with a refreshing watermelon to bring you that relief, excellent! Firstly my wife had Emerald Grove (Gin, Green Tea Shochu, Sweet Potato Shochu, Matcha, Coconut, Mint, Pineapple, Lemon) and liked it but was very unique as you would guess from the ingredients. She thought the mint brought a shamrock shake flavor to it. Secondly I had a bartender riff on a paper plane which was great as well. Lastly my wife secondly had Paradise Falls which she needed to try since it had a blueberry foam. Again, a unique but delicious drink.
