I've used them before and they were great. Recently we lost the key to our coin box on our washing machine at a rental property. They came out, drilled out the old box and installed a new one, all on the same visit.

This is the front of his store I highly recommend to come here I broke one of my car keys that was push to start he fixed it for free

I highly recommend ABC Locksmith SF. Someone tried to get into our gate and broke the deadbolt. Ramon recommended a better solution for our setup that will give us better protection and last longer. He was thorough, communicated well, showed up when he said he would, and did a wonderful job. He is a pleasure to work with, and I will call him again next time i need a locksmith. One of our tenant lost keys and was locked out; forcing her to stay the night in car. I called ABC Locksmith on a Saturday (btw their site said shop is closed). On the off chance there was a technician visiting the shop and picked up my call. He was very generous and agreed to help me. He stayed longer than he originally intended and made duplicates key for my tenant. I will definitely use their services in future. read more

Bravo to ABC Locksmith! Jenny did what three professionals and two amateurs were unable to accomplish! I accidentally shut the door on my Master Lock while I was changing the combination. I was stumped as to how to open it. Two usually skillful friends who watched YouTube videos for instruction could not get it open. When I contacted the manufacturer, they said they couldn't help. In town, Locksmith #1 said flatly that it couldn't be opened. Locksmith #2 said he could probably get it open, but he couldn't guarantee that it would not be broken - and then, on top of that, it would still cost me $65. I brought it over to ABC and left it with Jenny. When I returned the following day, she had it opened, had the combination for me, charged a reasonable price, and I was extremely satisfied. I don't have tremendous needs for locksmiths, but I can tell you that if I ever need one again, this is definitely the place where I will go. read more

So as usual, I am somewhat of a demanding customer. It's not so much me as it is my clients. I went to another locksmith (TicTicClick) before I went to ABC. That was an epic fail. I found ABC Locksmith and right away they took on my challenge of having eight locks changed out with a request of many different types of keys. I wasn't able to get to them until 3 PM with all of these locks. But they worked on them in less than two hours. I was very happy with their work and even more happy with their professionalism and friendliness. Ray and Ramon it was very nice to meet you guys. I hope you get all the business you deserve. Called multiple locksmith for FOB programing 2016 Infiniti. Ramon was the ONLY business responded professionally, courteous with the best competitive pricing below competitors. I checked! Ray operates this shop is EXCELLENT, patient and attempted to program 1st non compatible FOB. Did not charge and suggested me to get another FOB OEM. (Ebay $35 or Dealer $250.00+tax) Purchased OEM Infiniti FOB was successful. Cool thing about this business is they are fast, honest, helpful and treats you with respect. Soooo hard to find in the city. CALL ABC LOCKSMITH ask for RAY. Ramon does mobile service, YES LOCKSMITH was doing on-site service and recommend as he's honest! Thanks!! read more

I first came to ABC Locksmith in August of 2023 to get my key FOB replaced. The price was good and I was in and out in 10 minutes. The customer service was stellar. Fast forward 5 months later. The key FOB started to malfunction. Ramon was extremely understanding and helpful. He understood that what was going on shouldn't happen and there must have been a defect in the product. He helped replace the FOB at no extra charge to me. Once again, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and their customer service was impeccable. If you need any key services, I highly recommend this locksmith. They will go far above and beyond for their customers. read more

I explained to Gal that I would not be able to meet him in SF and if he could correspond with me over the phone to discuss what needed to be done while he was on site. I had originally wanted him to disable the buttons on the mortise lock because we thought my dad was activating it, locking the exterior latch, and preventing my parents' caregiver from entering each morning. Gal saved us a lot of money by explaining that all that was needed to be done was to turn the key one extra turn. Gal also adjusted the door because it was hard to close at times and smoothed out the caregiver's keys to make it easier to unlock the door. Gal did great work, but what really stood out to me is what a great quality human being Gal is. Not only was he understanding of the situation with me living so far away, but he showed the caregiver how to open the door if it's locked from inside, took a video of the process so I could share it with the caregiver in case she forgets, had us on speaker phone because the caregiver doesn't speak English so I could help translate. His patience and understanding is of the highest quality, saying that we will all be that age at some point. He was very respectful to my elderly dad and caregiver. Gal is highly recommended! I would use him again in a heartbeat!

my storefront at 1487 Pacific Ave AGAIN was targeted by burglars. 3rd time since the Covid…read moreshutdown. :-( The first time I was able replace a broken door panel myself because they left the lock alone. the 2nd time, about 2 years ago, they used a crowbar and screwdriver, but could NOT get in. I still had to call a Locksmith. (Dan Flynn, thanks for the referral). Their technician, Andy showed up early and and replaced the barrel and and made my 40 year old lock area stronger. I was good for another 2 years, and then last month, someone tried again. This Time, Metro's Technician, James, also showed up right on time, and he was able to do all the necessary work. This time, the burglars damaged my door frame, and James strengthened it with an extra Steel plate and replaced the damaged and useless bolt with a new stronger one. I don't think anyone will be tempted to try again after this repair! Thanks James and Metro. Your Brilliant Customer Service (Kevin) both on the phone and in the field, is the reason you are well-respected in the City. Hopefully this is the last time for that location!

I was schooled about the quality and security of leaving an over-the-counter lockbox on my gate which was very helpful as I am no stranger to theft in my neighborhood. The guy answered and said his "agent" would call me but he's on his way. Eventually an East Bay number called at 9:50pm, and said he'd be there in 30 mins. I asked how much the price would be and he said anywhere from $85 to $140. After waiting almost an hour and a half, he finally showed up at 11:10pm and told me my apt lock was "commercial" and the "driving fee" from the East Bay is $150 on its own and this lock is actually $270 -- but he'd take $180 on Zelle immediately. He then unlocked my door in about 8 seconds. Being that it was almost midnight and I'm a woman alone, I had no choice. I'm not sure why a "driving fee" would be relevant to a business that advertises itself as LOCAL. I could have called the plenty of other SF-based locksmiths and 1) not had to wait much longer than promised 2) not been pressured into a payment that was well over the price that was quoted.

He only told me the cost after the door was already opened, when I no longer had the option to refuse. This is classic price gouging and an example of deceptive business practice. A standard lockout in San Francisco is normally $120-$200, even for SmartKey models. Charging $750 without prior disclosure is unacceptable. I am requesting a partial refund and a written explanation of their pricing structure. Until then, I cannot recommend this company.

I had a front door handle from Baldwin--one of those tricky, high-maintenance handles that you basically have to import parts for--and it was completely broken, leaving us locked out of our office for months. This place doesn't even deserve a single star! The prices are crazy high... enough to make you think if this lady is from another planet. And she's OK with it. She'd rather turn you away than try and explain why her prices are so high. Not to mention her crazy 25% restocking fee. That's right. 25% on something so overpriced, the restocking fee would get you what you needed at another shop. Just had 2 copies of my housekeep made. Got home and one doesn't work at all, the other only works with a lot of serious jiggling and manipulation. Fortunately, I got a receipt, but I am not a happy camper. Some people complained about the prices; I paid a little under $10 for the two keys (which are the fancy, decorated kind) and two keyrings. It would have been reasonable, if only they worked. $10 minimum for DR or CR cards. read more
