I originally chose Christian Brothers on McQueen and Guadalupe because they appeared organized,…read moredetail-oriented, and professional. I purchased four tires for my Ford Transit work van and trusted their recommendation, assuming they were providing the correct tires for the vehicle. Less than a year later, one of the tires began splitting. I took the van to another shop that was closer because I did not feel safe driving all the way back to their shop. It was at the new shop where I was informed that the tires installed on my van were not properly rated to handle the weight of the vehicle and should not have been installed in the first place. I contacted Christian Brothers to explain the situation and was told I would need to drive the van back to their shop -- despite the damaged tire -- for them to determine whether anything would be covered under warranty. While I was getting the quote elsewhere to replace all four tires, Christian Brothers called back and offered a slightly lower price if I purchased another full set through them. In the end, the difference was only about $100 compared to the other shop. A shop I had never even used before, and that was the cost with no additional warranties or discounts (like Christian Brothers was claiming to be giving me). They stated they were giving me tires at cost and not charging for labor, not true. They tried to make it seem like they were doing me some huge favor by giving me such a small discount. Their front desk employee, Eric was as "helpful" as he could be throughout the process, but overall should have pushed harder with his upper management to resolve this. They should have completely comped the price of the old tires as this was their, dangerous mistake. Now they're not only making money off of me but also causing me to lose additional money by missing work to fix a problem they caused. I'm extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled, especially considering the original tires that they chose were improper for a work van like mine. All of this resulted in me needing to purchase two sets of tires within a single year!!! I expressed to them that being without my van would result in loss of money as it is my work vehicle. They had no concern for my time, money and no sense of urgency to resolve the situation that they caused. I had to leave my vehicle with them for more than a day the first time and again overnight the second time. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

He stated to bring the car in, and based on the time, he could let me know what is going on by the end of the day. I stated that I could have it there by 1p. I was there at 12:30p. Emeral started that he would give me a call before the end of the day. No call from the shop on Monday or Tuesday morning. I called Emeral around 5pm on Tuesday. He stated that they were putting things together and would call me within the next 15-30 mins. Again, I was lied to.  No call.  Wednesday at 10:30a, Emeral called to state that he was waiting on a quote for a part and he would call me as soon as he received it. I stated that he told me that he would call me on Monday and yesterday (Tuesday), and the calls never came. I told him that it was poor customer service to make promises that he wouldn't keep and to have someone's car for that long without updates on what is going on. I advised that if I hadn't called on Tuesday, he would not have called me, and I still don't know what the issue is with my car. Emeral stated, "Yes, if you hadn't called on yesterday, I would not have called you." I state it's bad business to not keep your word. Emeral stated, "What did it matter?" He was not having that conversation with me.  I asked for the total of what was owed. He stated $0 at this time. I advised that I'd be there to pick up the car. On Wednesday afternoon, I went to pick up my car. Emeral stated the conversation by apologizing.  He stated that he felt bad at the end of the call. He proceeded to tell me the diagnosis, which, according to him, was not the transmission. I remained silent. If the shop specializes in transmissions and they were standing behind previous repairs, why did he not call and state that on Monday? Emeral stated that he would call me within the next 30 minutes with a quote for repairs. Unsurprisingly, the call did not come. We all have lives; jobs and responsibilities, and they all require some form of transportation. Most of us take pride in our automobiles and misses them when they are not available to us.  For a mechanic to have a car for greater than two days without a follow-up call as promised is unacceptable.  I'm applauded at the lack of customer service that is rendered here. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE, find a repair shop that treats customers with respect and whose word is bond. If you don't care about those things, then this is your place.

He had a mix of defensiveness , liability avoidance , and not a real diagnosis. He test drove my truck hard to avoid reproducing the problem, he asked me 3 times if I'm a mechanic and if I can work on transmissions, he was trying to size up liability risk. He handled it poorly. My transmission has a hard1+2 shift handles under normal /light throttle . He should've driven the way I described and knowledged the symptom right away. Instead he tried to dismiss it under heavy throttle (bad test method) then backed out once he knew I've been working on it. My truck drives fine on highway speeds, has no slipping, no burnt fluid or metal, issue is isolated to shift timing/pressure. That strongly supports valve body/hydraulic issue, not a full transmission failure. Bottom line he handled it poorly. I wasn't asking for a rebuild, just a diagnosis . Felt like they didn't want to deal with anything that required real trouble shooting.

I've never gone through…read moreanything like this before, and I'm definitely not a "car person," so I rely heavily on shops to be honest and straightforward with me. I first took my vehicle to another service center. They charged me hundreds of dollars for a diagnostic and kept my car for two full days, even though I had an appointment and was told it would be quick. After all that, they simply told me, "Yep, it's the transmission," and quoted me over $8,000 for the replacement and a few hundred more for diagnostics and fees. That was absolutely not happening - especially with how expensive everything is these days. After calling five other places in the Chandler area, I reached Arizona Reliable Transmission. I explained what was going on and that I likely needed a new or remanufactured CVT. Based on the information I gave them, they quoted me a fair price right away, and I accepted. They asked if the car was drivable. I told them I was unsure I had only driven it very short distance after the main issue happened also their location is quite a way from the other shop. Without hesitation, they said they would send their tow driver to pick it up, bring it to their shop, and inspect it - at no extra cost. They explained that they will offer this as a courtesy for my situation. Truly great guys to work with they made it a very easy process! They also took a moment and inspected my brakes as they noticed the wear on them and offered to do a discounted add on for replacement on those and rotors as well, however I am currently tapped out on car repair funds so I had to decline the offer and do that myself but the fact that they took the time and had the care to send me photos un-prompted to notify me of the need to be replaced that was an added touch that sets them apart. (The other shop I had gone to first which starts with a G and ends with a CH told me my brakes and rotors that were grinding and a little squeeky were great no need for replacement... they made sure not to add that onto any invoice though because of liability as I tried to dispute with BBB and their parent company found a work around on that...) They got my car fixed up, and I have no complaints so far. It's been about two weeks, and I'm going in for my transmission checkup this weekend. I was even given a 3-year warranty on the parts they replaced - as of now, I can confidently say that for me as of now the best transmission shop in Chandler is Arizona Reliable Transmission!

We had the car towed over (2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid), and they diagnosed the problem and repaired the issue quickly and at a fair price. Unfortunately, the tech made a small mistake and once we got the car home, there was more oil on the driveway and a check engine light. Ugh, again. So we called back to Scott to see what he wanted us to do. We understand that sometimes mistakes are made and issues arise. How a business owner handles those issues are the difference between good businesses and great ones. This is a great one. Scott was MUCH more upset than we were! He got us back in same day and fixed the issue at no charge! (We should have paid for a necessary part, but he would not charge us.) With everything so expensive these days, and everyone trying to stretch a buck, it's hard to know if you're leaving your car with someone who cares about it as much as you do. Scott does. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough!

However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.
