it turns out the reason why the 10 amp fuse was blowing was because of the AC control valve, which had a short in it. this part only cost about $50 and you can go to websites that specifically make these parts because the manufacture or the dealer does not sell them individually and that is because each AC uses several different manufacturers for their AC control valves however replacing AC control valve only requires snap ring pliers, and about 15 minutes of your time if your air conditioning unit is easy to access. even though they have 35 years of experience and their family owned, I don't believe they treat you like family. I believe that they will try to charge you as much as they can like you're an ATM machine but they like to withdraw as much as they can out of you and maybe that's because they're poorly managed or maybe that's because they are incompetent or possibly it's because they're in a lot of debt and now they have to make bad business dealings to make up for past bad business mistakes, whatever the case is, I was able to figure it out myself and my car AC is cold as ice thanks to my own research. Now i dont have to work 300 hours and pay them for something that did not need to be done. Praise God! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! They initially ripped me off with a small repair, that could have been included in fixing my ac to begin with, when I told them my ac had a leak. They serviced it and said that all it needed was some new hoses. A few days later, the leak I told them about that they said was from hoses they replaced, turned out to be my compressor and wanted to charge me another $2,500 on top of the $500 I just paid last week! The worst part is I was prepared to pay for a new compressor a week ago but when they said I was good to go and sent me on my way paying way less, I invested the money saved in prepaying my car insurance. They could have fixed it right the first time but they got greedy and wanted more money. Jokes on them but now I'm spending another AZ summer without ac in my van. They got a hustler up from who feels like a car sales man, getting all sweet with his "stories" and the guys in the back disguising something you will have to fix later. The reality is all they're doing is hooking you in for a bigger repair that's gonna cost a lot more than your car is even worth. read more

Amazing shop. I didn't realize the post hadn't posted, so a bit tardy. My A/C actually was working but, I knew it was coming to an end of it's lifespan. Air conditioning is often misunderstood and sometimes they can find leaks to put a real repair down the road but, if the compressor fails all these metal shavings go through out the system and it is often difficult to make like new again. They changed out my Diesel Ford pickup with high end compressor like OEM, hoses, o-rings, dryer..I mean everything and it was about $1800. I keep my cars have homes in MX, AZ and TX, so I need it to be Ice Cold and dependable. There is no substitution to having your Air Conditioning changed out prior to it blowing up in the summer somewhere. All things wear, anything that spins or seals will fail. I have 8 cars in different places, 8 oil changes, 8 filters 8 of everything. 5 of them have had complete A/C change outs. It makes a whole lot more sense to replace on my schedule than patching it together, no matter what if these guys try to help you out with a cheap fix and sometimes it works but if not folks blame them. The average miles A/C lasts for your vehicle IN AZ isn't great, but after 100k miles, you likely will be chosen. It's not like tires where you can see the wear on the 0utside, everyone is just guessing as it gets older. read more

Wow! I walked in before a holiday weekend with a hybrid - they took their time explaining their process and fees. I love establishments that specialize and so really know what they are doing. In the desert, the A/C is not a joke and in other places around town I feel I was "rushed" and know they can charge whatever b/c we can't go without A/C. "John" was great... I was NOT told "Only one thing to do..." - I was given options. In this case, we did a freon refill, knowing bigger stuff coming down the line. My A/C was blowing warm and so i took it to a competitor first. The diagnosis was A/C Compressor and Condenser had both hit the bloody pan. Needed new Compressor and Condenser. First place gave a quote of around $2600 to fix them both. Brought it in and John was fantastic. Explained to me what they were going to do that there was an inspection fee that would go towards the cost of fixing the car, if i were to have the car fixed with them. Couple hours after dropping it off for second opinion was called to receive the news that the first place was right in the diagnosis they had given me but that he would try and beat what they were trying to get me to pay out of pocket. After giving my warranty info to John, he made sure to get me every penny i deserved through my warranty only leaving my $200 deductible (as stated on the warranty) took my car in and they had it all done within the day. Now thanks to Az Auto Air my A/C is BRRRR Cold!!! Love it and great service. Thoroughly recommend to anyone in the area. read more

Two days after spending $700 for AC repairs, we left on a road trip and discovered that there was a valve leaking. This was a valve that AZ Air replaced, thus the nationwide warranty covered the repair, but it was challenging to find a repair location and the other shop wouldn't honor the warranty since the valve replacement hadn't been listed by AZ Auto Air on the receipt but listed in the description of repairs needed. We spent much time on the phone with the warranty company to alleviate this discrepancy. I wish they had notated all of the parts fixed on the receipt, as this is what the warranty company requires for coverage of repairs. read more

I searched air conditioner repair in Ahwatukee and picked them because of the high rating on Yelp. Wasn't disappointed. They were very communicative and easy to work with. Called me with updates, worked around my schedule and softened the $1300 blow as much as possible by promising pictures and details of the repair. I don't know if everyone there is related somehow but there is certainly the family-owned vibe that is sought out these days as an alternative to the big-box, franchise world. I have an oil leak also and they didn't try to upcharge me to get that fixed too. Just let me know, topped off the reservoir and handed the keys back. The quote I received was much more reasonable than the quote I'd been given by my dealership for the repair, so after I'd done a little homework on the company's reputation online (mainly via Yelp), I opted to have the shop complete the repair. I was very impressed with stellar reviews of the shop, and the length of time the family-owned company has been in business (30 + years), and looked forward to receiving the same experience many others had. I have to say I was very impressed with the company's professionalism, competence in respect to their specialty, their communication with me during the course of the repair, and with the knowledge passed on to me by the owner as to specifics related to the repair I received. SAME-DAY SERVICE!! My AC was running warm and you know it's starting to get hot in AZ...cannot go without AC in Central AZ for sheezy!! Spoke with Steve, the owner, who took my call on a SUNDAY & let me know location, hours and that John, his son would be at the front desk and take care of me. Full disclosure, the shop is over in Ahwatukee and I live near downtown Gilbert so I decided to try one closer to home 1st...but I was dissatisfied with the customer service, they took longer than they said & wanted to charge $206 for a recharge which I thought was on the high side- so ended up going to see John .. my 1st choice ~ just a bit of a drive. Thankfully it wasn't too hot in the day yet. John had already advised that it would take about an hour for them to look and it and fix it so when I got there that's what I expected. John was very courteous and informative & a customer that was waiting ensured me that he's been going there for years to get all his car-care needs met, even after moving all the way out to San Tan Valley and 5hat they're always very fair & trustworthy..which put me at more ease!
