If I could put zero stars I would! I do not recommend this business and have made a formal complaint with Bureau of automotive repair. This "auto repair" service misdiagnosed my car three times, each repair got more expensive totaling 3500 In the end a simple fuse needed to be replaced. Incorrectly installed my coolant fan before I made a cross country move and thus my radiator cracked halfway through the trip. Brought to another Napa shop to get repaired by tow and the shop owner called Accurate owner and pulled some smoke and mirrors shit on me because I didn't know much about the auto repair area and they made me feel belittled and infuriated as I paid in full and was given no reimbursement whatsoever as I was pigeonholed/bullied by these two shitty old bald guys. Deceitful, untrustworthy always quotes a price then finds other issues that increase the cost of repair and when confronted gets upset and gets defensive. Owner quoted and charged a fee to fix air conditioning. Worked on the way home and not again since. I took the vehicle back and owner now says it's another issue which will cost significantly more to fix. Do not believe or trust this place. Owner identifies an issue, 'claims' to fix the issue, but will not stand by his word or work. There is always something additional that needs to be done. read more

This was my first time and last time doing business with this shop as their rates aren't competitive with other shops. They charged me at least 30% more for the job I had done and on top of that they left greasy hand prints all over my car. Avoid these guys. If you do go expect to be stopping off at a car wash afterwards as your car will be filthy. It looks like your positive reviews are faked or inflated. :-( read more

Best place around! I am newer to the area and needed some work done on my vehicle. I called Accurate and spoke with Kevin, told him what I needed done and he found the best price for me! They even picked up my car from work so that it would be done during the day so I could pick up my Son in time! While working on my car they noticed that I needed an oil change and that I needed new brake pads (as it's dangerous to drive with the ones I had, there wasn't much left of them). They tried to scam me, I got a coupon in the mail for a free oil change. They called me after I dropped my car off to tell me I had a nail in my back tire, and it would be $23 to fix it. Most tire shops fix that for free, so I went to Gunnells on Mckellips and Gilbert to get the tire fixed. They checked all 4 tires and said there was no nails! These people are fake, dishonest, and would probably break your car themselves just to make extra cash. Never go here! Very disappointed read more

I am surprised there aren't any reviews of Lee Weatherby's Accurate Auto yet considering all his longtime loyal customers. I guess they don't yelp! I'm one such longtime customer. I've been with him for almost 15 years, through college and grad school, clunkers to my current reliable Honda Accord. This is a wonderful family-run business that infuses everything with their personal touch. And almost pathologically honest. I kid you not. I always get a full explanation of any recommended repairs or maintenance and Lee will also let you know which can be safely deferred if you're short on cash (a lifesaver in my college years!). He will take care of your family as if his own - which is why everyone I care about eventually becomes a customer. My mom, my sister, my brother, my best friend... As if unbelievable customer service, expertise, and honesty weren't enough, Lee and family are always striving to make your experience more valuable - they have recently started a website that allows you access to all your repair records, they send out discount coupons directly to your home (and have been known to honor them even if you forget to bring the coupon to the shop!), and even call a few days after service to make sure you're happy with the work and things are running smoothly. All I can say is WOW! This business is the best example of the entrepreneureal spirit and solid work ethic that I have ever come across. I'd give them 15 stars if I could. Also, they specialize in Honda care. If you have a Honda, this is a no-brainer. Update: the owner called me as I was on my way out of town to apologize. He said he directed an employee to put the advertising frame on another car, not mine. They pulled my original frame from the trash and gave it back (to a family member who had to pick it up for me). Funny though - he did nothing -- said nothing -- to try and earn my business back - the conversation was about him and his "mistake" not my business and making me happy as a customer. I found his "excuse" difficult to believe... and his lack customer focus astonishing. Less than 30 minutes later my "engine repair" light came on. These folks knew I was prepping my car for an out of town trip when I brought it in. Pathetic. I stopped the car, re-set the oil light and silently thanked Lee for confirming my initial impression. 7/25/14 I thought I'd give this place a try since it was close to work and appeared to have a steady amount of client traffic. Bought a Groupon, easy to make an appointment, and Josh at the front desk was very professional and thorough in explaining what services would be performed -- oil change, tire rotation and air check, fluids, etc. After the two or so hours as I was notified it would take, they signed me up for their discount card, thanked me for my business and I left feeling relatively good about the place. It wasn't until about 24-hours later -- because I approached my car from the rear rather than the front -- that I discovered my shiny chrome license plate frame (which matched my wheels) had been removed from my car (stolen) and replaced with a cheap black plastic frame that advertised Accurate Automotive with their phone number in white letters. I immediately called the business and left them a message that I was angry -- very angry -- at the fact they had taken my chrome license plate frame and replaced it with their advertising without my knowledge. That's theft in my book. What else did they do and not tell me? or even ASK me? How can I trust a place that takes my personal property and replaces it with their blatant advertising? Or does who knows what and doesn't tell me? All that talk about 3,000 miles vs. 5,000 miles for an oil change, tire wear, etc. and not one mention about how my chrome license plate frame had been taken (stolen) and replaced with their advertising. They had a new customer and they now have a ticked off person who wants their license plate frame back and doesn't want anything to do with them. They ripped me off and used me. Over the years I have had Lee and Eric replace a transmission in a Honda civic, Steering column on a Ford Ranger and now a timing belt, water pump ect. On My Toyota Sequoia. I honestly don't give 5 star reviews easily, but I just had a really great experience at Accurate Automotive, and can't think of a reason to take off a star. I'm a residential Realtor, too, so I drive a lot, and have been to a fair number of mechanics over the years. First of all, if you're looking for a new mechanic, just take a look at Accurate Automotive's website. It's really well put together, and after reading it, I was convinced I wanted to give them a shot. They offer 20% off their labor charges for first-time Yelpers, free car pickups and deliveries, and really thorough invoices. I've never seen an invoice like theirs. The first page (yes, it's two pages long!) gives you a detailed list of everything they did to your car, and the second page gives you a checklist of repairs they recommend making in the future. I didn't price check their invoice with any other mechanics, so I can't say for sure how well priced they are. However, when they called me the first time, they told me the part I needed could cost as much as $2,000, but they thought they could find it cheaper. Sure enough, they called me a few hours later and told me they found it for only $1,000. I'm not an expert, but that sounded like a good deal to me. Really disappointed. After having my car returned to me after waiting 26 hours (yes,they kept it overnight) for an oil change I noticed the low tire pressure warning light on. It had not been on prior to my service. Go figure, they returned my car the day after the oil change with a nail in the left rear tire- thanks. By the way if you are understaffed and unable to do an oil change and return the car on the same day please let the customer know in advance so they don't have to call and ask for their car back the next day!! Lee and his team go above and beyond to take care of their customers. I recently brought in my Nephews Ford Focus, it had over 100 error codes firing - Lee's tech was able to identify that it was as issue with the Transmission and remembered there was a recall - he reached out to the dealer and had the car fixed at no charge. Yesterday I brought in my wife's camry - the breaks were acting up - we had just had the shoes replaced less than 2 years go by a "friend" of ours - turns out - our "friend" didn't use OEM break shoes and the wore out much faster than they should have - additional the rotors took damage and now had to be replaced, Lee kept us in the loop the entire time - no surprises. At the same time, I took in my son's truck, I was concerned that his breaks may have needed to be replaced - Lee's folks checked the shoes, the calipers, the rotors, along with the tires, the electrical system, Lee's folks did an extremely thorough inspection of the car - Lee says he doesn't ever want to let a car leave his shot unless he is confident it is safe - upon finding nothing wrong with the car, Lee phoned me and assured me all was in excellent shape and waived all charges for the diagnostics. Lee personally taxied me back home when I dropped of my vehicles - tell me - have you ever had the owner of a auto repair taxi his customers around? I certainly never have. I will never take my vehicles to another auto repair - Lee is honest, forthright, does the job right and doesn't take short cuts - if a problem arises, he finds a solution - even if it's a little eccentric - he truly cares for his customers. The staff members I spoke with on the phone were very courteous and friendly, but after they informed me that my repairs would total close to $4500, I went to get a second opinion. The next repair shop informed me that Accurate had been anything but. The repairs Accurate quoted me included replacing parts that were in fine condition, out-of-state servicing that wasn't needed, and all premium parts for a vehicle with 190,000 miles. More Like Inaccurate Automotive, I bought a used truck from Sullivan Motors of AZ without seeing it in person and had it shipped to me in CA. After checking reviews I chose Accurate Automotive to check out the truck for me before buying it. They said the truck was in good shape after they did their inspection. They did not send me any kind of check off list of their inspection, they just told me of a few little things that they saw were wrong. I believed them. Why wouldn't I, they had good reviews right? I got a call from Sullivan Motors 2 hrs. before I got a call back from Accurate Automotive saying they got the truck back and it checked out ok. Wouldn't you think I should get a call first since I'm the customer? Long story short, I bought the truck for 24K because Accurate Automotive said it was a nice truck. It was shipped to me 7 days later. I was at work when the truck was dropped off to me from a big rig. After work I took a good look at the truck to make sure it was as good as Sullivan Motors & Accurate Automotive said it was. It was not good, the first thing I found was that 2 of tires were dry rotted and one had 3 bubbles on the side wall. One of the bubbles was 2" big now how do you miss that? Accurate Automotive said the tires had some wear, not that they were unusable and unsafe. The shocks are bad. The rims had all locking lug nuts with no key in the truck. Either they did not take the wheels off to look at the breaks and other stuff or they did not give me back the lug nut key. Some of the power door locks and power mirrors did not work. The map pocket on the back seat was half way ripped off and the trucks interior was just in poor condition. My truck is now going to cost me an extra $5000 to make it right. read more

I FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT! I foolishly took my F150 to the Ford dealership to fix a front end noise. They're much closer to me than Accurate Automotive, and it seemed likely to be something simple. The FD took 2 days to diagnose the problem, $1100 in parts not including labor and they needed a third day to fix it. If they hadn't let my truck sit for a 1.5 days before they even looked at it, I'd have gladly paid the ~$1500 to have it fixed. I was so furious I demanded my truck back. Took my truck to Accurate. They explained that they couldn't rely on another shop's diagnosis and would have to check it out themselves. SMART! In a few minutes they had it diagnosed and within the hour fixed! They tightened up some loose suspension components without any parts being required. San Tan Ford took almost 2 days to falsely diagnose the problem, and needed a 3rd day and ~$1500 to fix with parts that weren't needed. Accurate Automotive diagnosed and repaired the problem in one hour and only cost 1hr labor. They saved me a boat load of money!!!! I will never be reluctant to drive the extra miles to Accurate for any repair, simple or not. It's so nice to be able to trust a repair shop that's so professional. We were traveling through Arizona (at the tail end of a 21,000 mile tour of the U.S.) when our diesel camper van started acting up shortly after getting fuel at a very small gas station in rural Arizona. We tried to get the problem fixed at the closest dealership in Snowflake, AZ, but unfortunately they couldn't find the cause of the problem (after $100 charge) and sent us on our way. But the check engine light came on again, and the engine was acting up, so we were stuck trying to find a mechanic who could help us on very short notice in the next city down the road, Mesa. The first two mechanics we called after an internet search couldn't fit us in, but we were referred to Accurate Automotive, who told us they would fit us in as soon as we arrived-- hurray! When we arrived, they couldn't have been friendlier and made us feel at ease right away, and even drove us to a restaurant so we could get lunch while the mechanic worked on our camper van. The mechanic (and I regret that I don't know his name to give him credit on this review) spent FOUR hours using diagnostic computers and driving the vehicle to see how it behaved, ultimately finding the problem to be tainted (with gasoline) diesel fuel that could be rectified as we continued to put new fuel into our tank, And the total cost for all this? Zero, zip, nada!!!!! Absolutely amazing. I left almost feeling like I had stolen something but they were most kind and assured us we owed nothing since there was nothing they could fix. WOW. So, we continued on our journey west for the Christmas holidays, and as they predicted, had no further problems, and it's been over 1,000 miles now! The only way I can think to thank them is to write this review. If we do happen to be nearby when we need something done to the van I would most certainly return to this shop and know for certain that they would do their very best. Even if I had to move to Alaska, I would still only take my car to Lee because not only is he intent on fixing the problem in a timely and cost effective manner - he is incredibly informative and he takes the time to listen to the customer and the car. If you spend just five minutes in his front lobby you will be amazed that he treats every customer as if they are a long lost friend. I have taken my truck to Accurate Automotive a few times now and have a good experience every time. Most of the time I have been in has been for a simple oil change - the crews did their job and didn't try to up sell me on services that I didn't need like most shops do. I can't stand that type of behavior and there was none of that from Accurate. They did inform me that there was a slow oil leak but recommended NOT to repair it yet. How often does that happen at an auto repair shop?? The one time I took my vehicle in that wasn't for an oil change was to get the "trailer brake warning" fixed. The idiot light came on a few times every time I drove, and made a horribly annoying dinging noise everytime it did - it drove me nuts. After months of that, I couldn't take the obnoxious dinging anymore and had to take it to get fixed. The accurate crew found the problem (a loose wire I think) and fixed it the first time. Its now been about a month and no more annoying dinging. I am a happy camper. It's not often you find an auto repair shop that is actually honest, so I will keep going back to Accurate Automotive. I needed to have a cylinder head repaired on my car and called Accurate for a quote since the Yelp reviews were so good. Lee called me back quickly to discuss what I needed and he gave me a quote that was much cheaper than the dealership. It's rare to speak to someone at an auto shop who isn't gruff, but Lee was incredibly nice on the phone and made sure that I understood everything that would need to be done. The job ended up taking a few extra days because they were sent a bad part (not their fault at all!), but it was worth it to do business with a clean, friendly place that gave me a fair price!
