Quick service and tasty food. Love their lunch specials. Check out their spicy thai chicken. Definitely a revisit.

    Thai Spicy Chicken

The lady at the counter was a little rude. Asked for the water and she pointed to the left without looking at me. I asked for the cup and she pointed her finger again to the left without looking at me , just looking at the cash register. She looked annoyed. We ordered Thai spicy chicken and it was delicious. Then I ordered soda in the counter, tried to pay by card and the same lady said not nicely, we don't accept credit card for just the soda. I think the place will have more customers if the lady was a little nicer because they have good food. I ate here maybe twice before years ago and the lady who worked there before was much nicer and they had more customers, too. The food price is not cheap. Casual dining, they have 4 1/2 tables and chairs. Not busy for a Sunday afternoon, maybe 3 dine ins and 1 take out order in an hour. Lots of parking. Customers pay for their food, it is not free, so be nice .

I've been coming here for a long time, today I was served a meal with raw chicken. Will be lucky if I don't get food poisoning. Beware.

Ask the Community - A Thai Express

    Are they halal?

Yes! This restaurant is halal (May 21')

    Is it still under construction?

I didn't see any construction going on. The food is so good and fresh, seemed smaller in portion.

Seemed like takeout orders were just as busy as the dine-in option! Ordered online through the QR code, though it seemed like we had the option to order in-person when a server came up to our table. However, we were able to pay online as well, which was a nice time saver. We are regulars and have already developed our favorites: Crispy Fish, Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Crab Fried Rice, Green Curry. We wanted to mix things up a little and order things we have never gotten before, and we have now developed new favorites! The Pumpkin Curry was my favorite: the pumpkin offering a nice sweetness and texture. The Eggplant dish came with a piece of crispy fish which was to our surprise! The seafood (shrimp, squid, scallops) was an interesting combination with the fatty eggplant. Probably my least favorite of the three as it seemed a little incohesive, though we appreciated the sauce being in a separate bowl as to not make the eggplant soggy. The Kang Jerd soup was delightfully light and full of briny, full flavored broth. My mom's favorite by far. She is usually reluctant to take the last serving/portion when eating family style. Not with the soup! The fact that we chose three seemingly random items on the menu and having each of them be winners is just a testament to how solid the food is here at Sala Thai!

The roti was perfectly light and not oily at all, which was a real highlight. The spice level is authentic, not toned down like in many Americanized Thai restaurants, and the flavors felt true to traditional Thai cooking. Mango sticky rice was the perfect way to end a scrumptious meal. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Thai food that's flavorful and satisfying. The ambience gives you the vibe of a homely Thai place and the service was quick too.

They don't try to over complicate their dishes by trying to make it modern or fancy. Instead they serve classic thai dishes that look and taste authentic. The servers are extremely nice and treat you like you're a guest in their home. We've never had a bad dish. My favorite is still the Laos style Papaya Salad. It is a kind of flavor and spice that you just can't stop eating. The panang curry is amazing, but does contain peanuts if you are allergic. My husband's favorite is the garlic fish. They give you huge portions too! We finished our dinner with the Mango with Sticky rice. See you next week!

They have some diverse offerings on the menu and are an asian fusion with Hawaiian, Chinese, and Japanese on the menu. Seems odd but the reason we came here over other places was I saw they had Honey Walnut Shrimp on the menu and its been almost a year since I had it. Interior is on the newer side and the large windows create a lot of nice natural light inside. Golden Eel Rice: A bright yellow egg moat with rice and garnish in the middle. The egg is topped with Unagi. Loved how clean this one tasted but in hindsight I could make something like this at home and should have went for some of the more standard sizzling plates. Beef Rice: Beef surrounding a mound of rice with corn and green onion toppings. It comes with a paper ring around it to remind you it is HOT and you will burn yourself if you touch it. It stays hot for a long time and the kids loved cooking on it. The rice also gets that nice black crunchy char layer on it which my wife loves.

I don't know what's right/proper now. I have always ordered some sort of Pad Kra Pow with Beef (stir fry bell peppers, basil) but it's not listed as such. However, elated there's such an option on their menu. - I appreciate the portion they picked for their beef because it looks and tastes just like beef; however, it's ultra chewy. My jaw had a workout. I wished they'd cook it med rare as it continues to cook in the enclosed to go container from the heat. - no rice included - love the multitude of bamboo, likely canned - bell peppers (green + red) were over cooked and had no chew - sauce had a bitter after taste which I am not fond of - very very very small portions for $18.87!!! AMBIENCE// - families and friends eating - well lit SERVICE// So I was taking pictures for yelp and the server totally saw me doing so. As I went up to pay, he kept staring me down to the point it creeped me out. Was it a stare down to frighten me to the point of deleting the photos? - no idea why they wrote what they did on my to go brown bag... uhhh I was expecting a "thank you" or something but I did not get any and as the bag states they are open on Sundays!
