My sister and I are usually not interested in having desserts however we've went to try this place out with a friend(does not eat sweets-best decision especially for this place) - BAD DECISION WE'VE MADE TONIGHT! Overpriced, mieh dessert, staff needs to understand English! Upon arrival told the waiter we had 3 (in English of course), he replied with "give me a few mins". Ok cool. As we were checking out the menu, a mandarin speaking lady says to another waiter "there is 4 of us", another couple came in and said "it's just 2". My few minutes now became 10 and those that came in after me are seated in their comfy little tables and chairs.(already a bad start). We finally got a seat and being the bitchy person I am I loudly and proudly said "it sucks that we didn't speak Mandarin! Get seated last and in the middle of the aisle, wait a while and no explanation about it". We ordered the waffle and green tea with mango, strawberry and kiwi - and I thought paying $7 at Eggloo was expensive... This place cost $9.50 - $6 for waffle, $2 for ice cream (had no green tea taste) and each topping was .50. Had it taste much better I'll be a happy camper. The mango was the best out of it though. We also had the mango pomelo sago - as a new opening store, I expect it to be top notch cleanliness especially food that will be served to customers. Sitting on top of the pomelo was a dark black thick hair that stood out so bad but I didn't want to cause a scene and was just going to suck it up. My friend asked the waiter and they took it back and returned 5 mins later with the same one but removed the pomelo! Now our stomach's are aching from here... Paid $20 so we can go home with an upset stomach. Sum it up, if you don't speak mandarin, expect bad service and waiter starring at you as if you're from Mars. If you're ok with sitting on the toilet and having your legs fall asleep on ya, paying 6 for waffles that the street cart sells for $1-$2, GO FOR IT! read more

I read the description and was expecting mangos wrapped in steamed rice noodles (like they do at dimsum), but it was actually much thicker and less chewy than steamed rice noodles. The rolls are also bathed in coconut milk which made them creamy and sweet. MUST GET! DON'T: - Get the honeydew shaved ice. My friend and I were eager to try it after an underwhelming experience with the same thing at Caffeine Fix. However, we noticed that not only was the honeydew shaved ice the most expensive thing on the menu ($15), but it also had an imbalanced melon ball to melon ice ratio. We had to dig through about halfway into the melon bowl to finally reach the ice, which proved to be messy and difficult. They give you the option to customize and while they didn't actually have a lot of ice cream flavors in stock, it still ended up being delicious. My friend recommended the Golden 4 seasons fruit tea - and my coworker and I went from a stressed covid day at work to feeling happy and laughing. Apparently this is a special tea blend from Taiwan that has a natural effect on mood ..it definitely works!! It was refreshing, light, filled with tons of fresh delicious fruit! This place is INSIDE a building, so it can be confusing for someone who's trying to look for it on the street, I got lost for a few minutes to be honest LOL When it was time to order, the egg waffle immediately caught our attention because it looks yummy and big enough to share. This quaint little place is the perfect spot to get away from the chaos that is Flushing. Also, its a good change if you're tired of going to Prince Tea House for the same ol' selections. I happened to stumble upon this place after getting ramen next door and I loved that it was nice and quiet. They have a neat selection of tong shui to choose from, majority with the hot and cold option. The cold black sesame tong shui hit the spot, having the perfect amount of sweet in it, so that's a definite must-try. I also got the egg waffle cone with all the fixings and it was so good and filling! FYI, stay awake from the toast because it is not worth the more than 30 min wait. This place is a little gem. I think it's the most authentic Hong Kong style desert place I've found in north america. It really dos feel a little like you're in Asia. We had the Mango Pomelo soup and the Waffle with ice cream. The waffle is not an American waffle but a cross between a waffle, and a donut like object. It's what they used to sell on the streets in Hong Kong when I was a kid. All in all, this place made everything really well. It was a bit on the sweet side but that's to be expected.
