Took them 20 minutes to prep the food when i was the only person in line. Both lobster and steak were dry, asked medium rare for steak, and they were well done. lobster was also very hard to take shell off. Fried rice were mediocre. This is the slowest food truck in the world, honestly you would think they had something prepared the 3 chefs keep looking back and forth between orders like they have no idea what they are doing and the girl who I assume was taking orders is just sitting there on the phone the whole time, a chef had to come take my order and the 6 other people who came in the 30minutes I waited. This place was such a great find! The dish I ordered was lobster and chicken. The portions are huge. It definitely doesn't tastes like a truck dinner. Be prepared to pay though. The price is quite steep. It's not something you can eat everyday but you should at least try it when you feel like you need to reward yourself. read more

I would give them 4 stars because my food was fire! But, that being said...the food is overpriced. They don't have a menu anywhere on site, just pics of their food. (They don't even have prices on the website) As a food truck that's suspect. I walked up and ordered a 405 trio and she quoted me almost $50. I was afraid to order anything other than chicken or shrimp. I got the shrimp and the food was seasoned perfectly. But if you're gonna charge $21 for a meal, make sure it's not sliced up baby shrimp. It's at least a $20 mark up past what was spent on the ingredients. My suggestion is to spend the type of money you ask for on more premium ingredients, the primary thing I've read in comments is over pricing. read more

Beware and ask for a receipt because they will add on to the tip you left and your transaction on your credit card statement will be different from what you remember your total being !! Also for the price your much better going down to Ventura blvd and just going to Yamatos or Benihana's same amount you'll be paying per person and better food quality, quantity and experience. Very good teppanyaki- even more amazing that it comes from a truck?! Though food trucks have come up in the past many years, covid knocked them back a bit, which is unfortunate, even if just guilty by a sheer, unavoidable close quarters working environment. I have been here several times and it's a pretty good place I mean the lines they always have definitely speaks for its self I always get the my steak or the filet and it's super good the fried rice is super on point and I definitely want to try some of the other meat options for they have I am sure they will be just as good the only issue I have with this place is that the staff doesn't do much to form a orderly line none the less they have a sign that says phone orders with arrows pointing to a window which naturally you would think you would go there if you placed one and pay and get your food quicker but no they just send you to the back of the line I made this mistake and it was kind of embarrassing especially cause there was a lot of people around so don't make the same mistake as me read more

This place is AMAZING. The smell alone will hook you. Dont trust the bad reviews... they are from stupid people who just can't enjoy good food the way it's supposed to be prepared. If you want double meat instead of veggies, OF COURSE they are going to charge for that! Yes there might be a wait... I wonder why! Derp. Never had a bad meal from here, there is usually a wait, but on busy days they actually have 2 trucks there to meet the demand! Where else can you get a full teppanyaki meal for under $20? And it's quite a large portion. The flavor is amazing, the veggies are crisp and made to perfection, I always get the shrimp plate and there is enough shrimp to make it well worth it. I found this place looking for hibachi in my area, it's actually far in comparison to other cravings I could have that are in closer proximity to me but this is literally the only hibachi place within miles and miles of my home. This is my second time here and the first time I came I ordered my son a chicken plate with fried rice and myself a filet mignon with fried rice and it came out to $39. I felt it was a bit overpriced but pushed that to the side because the food was delicious. I came back today and ordered my boyfriend a filet mignon plate with lobster and myself a filet mignon plate, both with fried rice and it came out to a WHOOPING $61! I like the food and for a first timer my boyfriend also liked the food but I feel like the establishment takes advantage of that fact that there aren't many hibachi places and people will pay price . If I could give it a 3.5 I would because although the food is good, the pricing is unattractive and really makes no sense when you break it down. read more

I've seen the truck around for some time and hadn't realized what they served until I saw an IG post with pictures and thought "OHHHH! That looks YUMMY!!!".... Well food porn is not always what it's all cracked up to be. For close to $30 a plate, I might as well have dined in at Yamato's or Something Fishy for that price and better tasting food. Although, it wasn't bad - it just wasn't great for the price. But my problem wasn't with the food nor so much the price per se, but the gal that took my money at the register. Also I was told one price over the phone as I placed a phone order so I didn't have to wait - considering I'm in Woodland Hills and the place is in Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks area. I was charged a different price once I arrived (just $1.00 off. $1.00 no big deal, but why am I being told two different prices?) My meal was $27. I gave the gal at the register $40. My change? $3.00. I looked a little confused when I counted my change and said to the gal "I gave you 40." Without any hesitation, like maybe she got confused herself, she cheapishly gives me a smirkish-smile and hands me a ten dollar bill. No apologies, nada. So, my question is - was this an honest mistake or was she just trying to give herself a $10 tip!?! If it was a mistake, I would think that someone would have the courtesy to apologize and considering it's my FIRST time there...I don't think I'll be going back 405! Sorry but this was no bueno! Good food but extremely OVERPRICED. Being in the restaurant industry, I'm well aware of food and labor costs - there is absolutely no excuse for pricing their food 10x over their cost, especially for a food truck that doesn't have the same overhead (water, power, waste management, landscaping, team member uniforms, etc) that a typical brick and mortar location would have. They are inviting competition to come in and serve better quality food, faster and at reasonable prices. I hope they make the necessary adjustments so they can stay in business. Don't be fooled by the glamorized instagram posts. They give you plenty of rice and veggies but skimp on the meat big time! $3 for fried rice is not that big of a deal but for me, fried rice = with egg and veggies (peas/carrots) Their "fried rice" is basically steamed rice with soy sauce, no egg or veggies lol. Here's a tip, don't upgrade to fried rice, but mix soy sauce in yourself and ask for garlic sauce to mix in the rice as well! Save your $3.
