When you want this this type of Chinese food. This is the only place you should go. Portions that quell hungers of a village and the nicest and most welcoming staff.

The food was tasty but sauces too thick and sweet. Best eaten fresh and hot and they pile it high but after a while when it cools and sits it turns into a sticky mass of carbs. Service was great the place has a hood classic vibe. Best to eat it there and maybe ask them to not give you so much, it really was a lot but only $9.99 for 2 item combo. Probably just me I guess. Try it at least once .

Absolutely one of my favorite spots in Van Nuys! The service is great! The ambiance is very family and friendly! The food is heaping good! Thank you team!!!

Huge servings, good flavor, very reasonable value and friendly staff. The staff is happy to give you a sample to help you decide on ordering. The seasoning is slightly different than typical steam table Chinese Take-out establishments. The OK Chinese chow mein and fried rice tasted a bit sweeter. The serving sizes are so large that we decided to order the Combo B with double Orange Chicken and half and half, chow mein and fried rice, a couple of fried prawns, a couple of fried chicken wing pieces and won ton soup. All of the food feed 4 us and we were full. The orange chicken pieces are tender, good sized pieces and nicely fried with a good batter and sauce. The shrimp and chicken both had a nice crunch and very light on seasoning. The won ton dumplings don't have a lot of taste but they give you a ton of veggies, shrimp and pork in the broth. There was so much extra tender pork that we ended up making pork fried rice with the extra meat. This will be our go to Chinese steam table restaurant when we are in town. Excellent value, huge portions such that the food is squeezing out of the containers, good service and good Chinese fast food. If you are craving fast Chinese food that is tasty and a great value restaurant for multiple people or a large group, go here, don't miss out.

I saw a post regarding this place and decided to stop by to try them out, the post I saw showed that they were very generous with their portions, I can confirm that they do serve humongous portions that you can just barely close the lid of the food Container. I ordered the chow mien/fried rice with spicy pork and 3pcs fried chicken wings, I love the spicy pork, the fried rice and chow mien were also good. They have other foods I have to try out. The servers were friendly and professional The dining area feels kinda divey but functional and clean, I came in around 5:30pm, not sure of their operating hours. I looked for and didn't see a sign stating their hours, I wish they have a self serve soda fountain instead of selling them by the can.

Yelp, YouTube, & TikTok made me try this place;). Food portions is incredible and HUGE! Can definitely be shared between two people! I ended up not finishing it and saved it for the next day. Chinese food in general doesn't always reheat well. If you're one person going to Ok Chinese in Van Nuys, one item plate is enough, but if you want the two item, definitely eat all the fried rice and save the Chow Mein for reheating. I got the Kung Pao & Orange chicken. Overall good, but needed a bit more flavor however it wouldn't stop from going back. I did notice a smoky type flavor which I couldn't tell where it came from. It's different. Not bad but not great either. I think this place is Mexican run and I like the Hispanic influence over the cooking! The employees there were really nice! They do accept credit cards. Probably the next time I go, it will be the Orange Chicken & Chow Mein. I really liked the Chow Mein! That surprised me a lot and the texture of the Orange Chicken is really good as well just needs a bit more Citrus sweet flavor:). Kung Pao Chicken okay. Would try something else next time. All in all, it's definitely worth your time to check out. The portions are worth the price. I wish Panda Express would give these portions.

The food was OK. Greasy, not horrible but not the best. Definitely have tried out worse spots. The chicken was too small. Overall, the food was OK but I would not go back.

Do they still just Cash only?

I will say call them just to get the most accurate answer. When I went like 3 weeks ago I didn't see any notice about cash only but I did read other people reviews that said bring cash. So I had both cash and card, I paid with cash in the end

    Is it still cash only?

No they accept credit cards now

What's the potato and beef dish called in this place?

    You mean potato and chicken?

. Did they raise the price for a combo plate? I went there yesterday and the charged me over 8 dollars. It was only a little over 6 dollars before.?

We decided on Oi Asian which had great reviews, so why not. First off, let me say that there is plenty of parking, however, the parks are extremely narrow for some reason. It was a struggle to get in and out of the car due to the width of the parks smh. Anyway, once we got inside, there wasn't anyway at the register and after standing there for a while, I noticed the kiosk so unplaced my order there. There were only two cooks in the back. We placed our order and sat down. The place was clean but everything seemed like it was do it yourself. The boys were thirsty and there wasn't an option for water on the kiosk, so I called one of the cooks from the back to pay for a water and he rang me up. It was pretty rough in there. At one point I had to get up and grab my own fork by reaching over the counter. Once our food was ready, one of the cooks brought our food and I wasn't really feeling my meal, which was the dynamite crawfish bowl. I didn't like the sauce it came with. I just picked at the crawfish and left the rest. As for the boys meal, the fried chicken adobo bowl was REALLY good! I ended up eating theirs because my oldest son didn't like it, which was great for me lol. My youngest and I tore that bowl up. Anyway, the verdict is, I may search around for other options but I know that if I can't find anything else I can always grab a chicken adobo bowl but the service was pretty nonexistent. That chicken adobo bowl saved it. OOO 3 out of 5

My coworkers ordered the Chicken Gangjeong in both the Soy Garlic and Sweet & Spicy flavors. I only had a bite of each, but both were juicy and seemed to be made with dark meat chicken. The Soy Garlic was actually sweeter than the Sweet & Spicy, which caught me off guard, while the Sweet & Spicy had more of a mild heat than an overwhelming kick. I ordered the Grandma Tteokbokki at spice level 2 and added melted cheese and ramen. Those add-ons were absolutely worth it. The cheese made the sauce extra creamy, while the ramen soaked up all of the flavor and turned it into a hearty, comforting meal. Spice level 2 had a nice kick without overpowering the dish, making it easy to enjoy from start to finish. Overall, everything we tried was satisfying, and I'd happily come back to work my way through more of the menu. And tell me about the other Thai restaurants where you can order Cheesey hominy grits with Shrimp along side your Pad See Ew. My wife liked because everything comes very mild and you get a caddy of things that will spice/heat it up. I'm not a fan of that approach because I just want to dig into something with some kick and balance without playing, "Hey, I'm the Nutty Professor... let's try some of a little of this and I wonder what that tastes like" Note to people concerned about parking. I hate that whole scene... get the ticket, display the ticket, find the kiosk to pay for the ticket because you forgot to get the ticket stamped, download the f?@king app and type in your parking spot number, then find that you are in underground parking like a F%4king rat in a F%4king maze... NONE of that going on here. (But we showed up at an off time)... It was super simple, super easy... get your ticket, get it validated, leave. We parked about 30 feet from the front door and it was ALL good. Final thought. This place feels kind of "classy"... again, it's the people that work there but also the presentation, taking your order at the table, super clean, tasteful layout. You enter through the gate, which a ticket is given but they will validate afterwards. And the store front is next to the parking structure along with a few other restaurants. We didn't dine in but came to order for take out. From the menu, it's a mix of soul and Thai fusion. Dylan took care of us which he was a sweetheart. I love thai so trying new places is a little hit or miss as I have my favorite spots that never disappoints. Well, let's give it a shot. It's wasn't busy when we arrived, a group inside was dining when we walked in. An order of the summer roll, which we added shrimp as it comes with tofu only. There were loads of veggies which was fine but they could have added a little more of the shrimp. The sauce that accompanied it was great. I love noodle soup so to see that they had some was nice. Would love to have boat noddle but they didn't offer it. Instead I went with the tom yum noodle soup. I hate to say, it wasn't my favorite. The broth was way too sweet for my liking. I alway ask for medium as I like to spice it up myself but when we received the order, there were no extra sauces or condiments in our take out order. Only sauce was the dipping for the summer rolls. That was a bummer. Then there was the drunken noodles. Flat rice noodles with a mixture of greens in a brown sauce with Thai chili. And lastly the panang curry with chicken. Also, spice level for medium and spicy was off. They were pretty much similar, not spicy. The food was so so and that was coming from three of us. I don't know if the soul and Thai fusion was a factor but it was just ok. The reviews sounded good which gave us high hopes about this place, but I have to say that we were a little underwhelmed with the dishes. The flavors for us just wasn't there. Maybe we'll give it another shot but from this first experience, it's leaning toward a different direction.

We lucked out and got the last booth before the dinner rush. The place looked exactly like it did last time we came. Staff was still friendly. They don't accept cash, only cards/tap to pay. Their menu looked different. Wish I had taken a photo. You have an option to build your own boil by choosing your protein, sauce, spice level and add in's. They still don't allow you to mix garlic butter and lemon pepper sauces. You're forced to get the Kickin mix which includes Cajun even if you're not a fan of that flavor. They also have a kids menu with 2 choices, appetizers and family combos. Always intimidating ordering from a menu that doesn't disclose the pricing up front. That's the weirdest thing. Even restaurants in Beverly Hills have pricing on their menus. We got the family feast which feeds up to 4 people and had a combo of crab, mussels, shrimp, sausage, rice, potato and corn which was about $107. (Side note, they charge 50 cents for a pair of gloves and they do not provide you with a little towelette to wipe before or after your meal) This I have to admit was a pretty good deal considering it's a good amount of seafood. They serve it to you in a large metal bowl. We asked for mild since we had toddlers, but because of the Cajun in the sauce (that they force you to get if you want garlic butter and lemon pepper flavor) it was more of a medium, and the kids could not tolerate the heat. Which wasn't a bad thing since that meant more for us grown ups. Ordered them a side of truffle fries which was not too bad actually. We also ordered some of their specialty drinks which come in huge cups. We tried asking for two small empty cups so the kids could share our drinks, but they refused to provide that to us. According to the waiter, it's the restaurant policy that they can only provide water cups, but we have to figure out what to do with the water inside. (Insert face palm emoji) Also they do not provide buckets for your shells so we weren't sure what to do with all that water but drink it. The cups are thin paper cups to pair perfectly with those gross paper straws. By the time we finished the water the cups were pretty mushy already. Needless to say we couldn't finish all our food so we asked for it to go, reluctantly as we hoped they weren't going to try and charge us for those to go bags as well. Pro's: they brought the food out quickly. The food tasted freshly cooked. Con's: don't know where to begin. Parking lot sucks since it's shared with multiple other businesses. There is no place for you to sit and wait outside the restaurant. You'll need to stand outside by the parking lot and pray you don't get side swiped by some crazy driver. Menu has hidden pricing. They charge 50 cents for gloves and do not provide wipes for after your meal. They don't provide a bucket/container to place your seafood shells so it gets mixed in with your other food on the table. Can't even ask for an empty cup for kids. They don't let you customize your sauces your way. Sad to say after all this time my review for this place is still a solid 2 stars.
