Good size restaurant in a strip mall just off of Sherman Way. I ordered chicken pho with a side order of extra chicken. THE CHICKEN SOUP WAS DELICIOUS!!! but that's about all that was great. The chicken was so overcooked, dry and tough to chew. The bowl of soup is gigantic with tons of noodles, but they don't give you very many vegetables (bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, etc.) to put in. The ambience screams sports bar. Service was good, but I won't go back.
Food was ok. Nothing wild. Service took a while but at least server was nice. The bill came back with an imposed 18% gratuity. I signed the receipt without paying attention that it was the pre-tip amount. So the server took it upon herself to correct the total to include the imposed tip. Fine..but, I happen to read on the bottom of the menu page that they do charge 18% for parties OVER 5. We were EXACTLY a party of 5. I was planning to tip 20% anyway, but since they imposed, great. No biggie, right? I was simply letting the server know that they really should correct what's on the menu to say 5 or more..or don't impose on parties of 5. She looked at me like I can't count digits. Idiots.
This place isn't bad! A great place to get pho especially if it's late and you're running out of options. It's cheap and the service is insanely fast which I love. I have tried a lot of different things here that are just mid but I don't even mind it. The pho is solid and I don't have any complaints. It's not going to be the highest quality on the planet but for the price it's a great place to stop by if you want a quick late night meal. Restaurant is always clean too which I love.
This place never disappoints. I love coming here for their soul soothing pho broth that is always served very hot! I love their jjam pho. This is their spicy seafood noodle soup with shrimp, squid, mushrooms, and onions. The base of this soup is a popular Korean soup that u grew up loving. Anytime I miss home or need a quick Korean flair I love coming here for this soup. Plus the owner and their workers are so sweet every time I swing by. I definitely know I'll be back.
I had a mixed experience at Cali Pho Nia. The pho broth itself was flavorful, but it was extremely oily. Unfortunately, my drink had black specks floating in it, there were flies around the dining area, and the restaurant overall felt kind of dirty. The food had potential, but the cleanliness issues really took away from the experience.
the service and area was not bad at all and i wanted to put that first. it's clean and nice and the seating is a bit weird. what im having an issue with this phone restaurant is the food. there are a lot of pho places i have tried and this is hands down a place i will not visit again. the broth for the pho is mediocre, the vegetables were warped and dry. their egg rolls are very small and only come with the sauce and not the vegetables it would normally come with. the only good thing is their thai tea. but everything else was not good in my opinion.
TLDR: Big portions, not great service. I ALWAYS used to recommend Cali Pho Nia to my friends in the Valley who were looking for Pho, but unfortunately my most recent experience may have likely changed that. It was a rainy day and they were pretty busy, but for the whole restaurant they had just one waitress and she was not hitting the mark. We asked for water at least 4 times before we had to stand up and go to the front to ask for it again. We also asked for extra toppings for our pho, and they brought us a dishes with two tiny slices of jalapeno, two lime wedges and one sprig of basil for both of us. Their bowls are HUGE so skimping on the toppings doesn't make a ton of sense to me. When the waitress brought us our appetizer, we also had no napkins or any other plates to eat it on. Finally our pho came out and we were excited! I got the beef brisket pho and when it arrived, the meat was still a little pink so I mixed it into the broth and it changed color. However when I was mixing up my bowl, I found a giant piece of hard paper, like maybe from a label of a box, floating around in my bowl. I told the waitress about it and she took the bowl back. Less than 1 minute later, a gentleman brought the bowl back to the table, and the meat was not pink. I'm pretty certain they just gave me the same bowl right back, otherwise the meat should have been fresh like when I initially got it. No way to prove it of course, but it was a little suspicious how fast that bowl came right back to the table after we had experienced such snail's pace service the rest of the time. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

Both dishes looked sad, and the chicken didn't taste good. Our total bill was $41. We asked to split it, and since I only ordered pho, the amounts should have been different. However, we were both told to pay $28 each. 56 in total?? I refused twice and asked the cashier to split the bill correctly.

I got JJAM PHO cause I love everything spicy. The spicier, the better. This meal itself lasted me for about 3 days cause it was huge. Def recommend this place if you love Pho
came back again. it was even better than last time. i got the meatball pho with side of steak and fish ball. i get the steak raw so i can let it cook in the pho. you can't beat the prices here. the portion sizes are huge. last time we shared one. but we got our own this time. the service is always great, and the kimchi is always perfect. we get a side to start with. i love how they have raw onions here. the owner is always so sweet and she remembered my bf as soon as he walked in. you can't beat this quality for this price. i'm coming from scv. i will ALWAYS come back when im craving pho. i've been to phos all around la, the valley, and scv. you can tell the difference on how they make it. even the broth itself before i add anything is just TOO good. we'll be back :3
Eating as i write this. Soooo delicioso!! I am picky where i get pho from not every where they do it good. My stomach was like no more tamales etc. was bad so i went to see who was open today christmas day and cali was it. Ordered from Stevenson ranch and so good. Very good flavor and eating from the container too. Most places soups taste plastic of you eat from containers. Will be ordering again!!!
My friends and I were looking for some late night Asian food and this place happened to be open around 11pm so we hit it up. Right off the bat, I peeped the reviews to see if they were good and I noticed, a lot of the issues were with the service but nothing about the food being bad, so it was a go! Once we arrived we were instantly seated and they were quick and attentive! The lady took our order, while the other lady was pushing carts with huge pho bowls on them. I'm not going to lie, the bowls were looking amazing! The place was pretty busy and clean. The vibe was cool and everyone was either in a group or with their significant other, so I was digging the vibe. I went with the teriyaki chicken plate, while one of my boys got the bulgolgi plate and the other got a bowl of pho. I thought my chicken teriyaki was amazing but I did have a bite of my boys bulgolgi and it was not the hit and I LOVE bulgolgi. I def won't be ordering it there. It's the @light_skin_dragon. Coming to you live from a pho place because I seen my CAREMAL kisses took my daughter to a pho place and I missed them so I went to one by myself. I got the Super Bowl pho which basically has a lot of beef and pork and seafood. Cost around 20 and I got me a side of egg rolls. The service personally wasn't the greatest and that's why I gave it a 2 star. There were only 2 lady workers running the show for 18 tables I think I counted. Which had a Hispanic male in the back and I was like this is not authentic pho. I was cold and I asked if I could not sit by the door and she told me no. They took forever to bring utensils and napkins. The ambiance was casual and okay. At the end when I was almost finished with my pho I notice two Asian men came in and the lady knew them but gave them a huge table and they did not order food or anything which I was like damn that sucks. I'm cold sitting next to the door and they walked in and got a nice sitting. And I knew if I brought CAREMAL kisses she would have not liked the meat it was chewy and the texture was a bit weird. And this is coming from me so I know she had a part that she left on me to be detailed about the taste and texture because I wouldn't have said anything before meeting her. I would come again just to see if I get the same experience but I hope I don't and I would come back. Cali Pho Nia is a solid option for pho, especially if you have a late-night craving, as most spots tend to close around 9 PM. I came in on a Monday night, and they were surprisingly busy! I ordered the Steak & Brisket Pho, which I thought had a good balance of meat and noodles. The broth was pretty flavorful and definitely warm and comforting. We also had the Cha Gio, which was freshly prepared and perfectly crispy and savory. The service was decent, and there was a pretty lively vibe. While I think I will stick to my usual pho places, it's great to know that there is somewhere I can get a good bowl of pho after 9 PM, and the price wasn't too steep either. read more

It was relaxing. We arrived as it was just about to start getting busy. The waitress was understanding and provided me a fork. I've been sick and this broth is what my girl recommended. It's very helpful. The fresh ingredients and hearty taste was delightful read more

Came here after a night hike in the valley, and most other pho restaurants were closed beside this one! We wanted Vietnamese food and this one is a fusion, but all our food was delicious. Their "vermicelli" Viet-Korean bowls was super good! The service was super friendly and nice. And they had like club music even tho it was 11pm lol. It was great!! Def a great choice for Asian midnight munchies! read more

This place is good enough to get your Vietnamese fix on when you're in the valley. The brisket pho came in a massive bowl with sides of cilantro, lime, bean sprouts, and jalapenos. The broth was super tasty with a little tamarind tanginess to it. It was good enough without having to add any condiments to it. Oooh....and the meaty fried egg rolls were delicious too! I don't think five of them were enough. I often order to go but there's plenty of seating here too. Great for late night eats (closes at 2am) with plenty of parking. read more

This place is open late in the valley which I like but the food was a bit pricy for the quality. I got the oxtail pho and the combo roll and my bf got pho with brisket and tendon. The oxtail pho was good but the meat quality wasn't great... it was very little meat on the bones and more so fatty pieces. The combo roll was disappointing. Spring rolls are my favorite but the spring rolls here was small and not that flavorful. The peanut sauce could have been so much better. The egg rolls were not good at all very bland and mushy inside. The gyoza were okay. Our bill came up to about $65 with the tip. read more

I came to Cali Pho Nia on a Saturday afternoon with a friend and the restaurant seemed pretty empty. None of the workers were in the front at the register (they were in the back kitchen preparing food). I greeted the servers and waited to order my meal. I got the steak and brisket pho while my friend got the seafood pho. The pho itself tasted decent. Back in my hometown, I would eat at my favorite pho restaurant 1-2 times a month so I have pretty high expectations when it comes to pho. I think the broth was a little watered down and the cilantro they gave on the side seemed a little dried out. Although the bowls were huge, the meat ratio was pretty small. I'm not sure if I would come back. read more

First time here! I love the eggrolls and shrimp fried rice. The eggrolls are 5/5 very hot and fresh. Fried rice 4/5 not too bad :) And I absolutely love the soup that they added for free with the meal. It makes me want to try their pho! Got hungry around 9:30 so we found this gem of a restaurant that was open late. We chose where to sit and the fun began. We ordered immediately and the food was brought out to us in a very efficient manner. A visual menu is available on a large screen inside the restaurant along with a printed menu which was provided. Our order was prepared accurately and it was delicious. We are very satisfied with our food, with the prices, with the service, cleanliness, and ambiance for sure. The restaurant is located in a shopping center and there was ample parking. They're open until 11:50pm which is perfect for late night phö lovers. We will definitely be returning and regulars here for sure. This has been such a great start of the new year!! Thank you guys read more
Tried a new place that has been here for about a year already but never had the pleasure of visiting. I believe there's a few location to add to their rooster. First off, I couldn't figure if it was Vietnamese or Korean as they had signs inside hinting it but mainly pho on the menu. There was a few rice dish that could sum it as Korean. Anyhow, menu wise did have a good selection of pho. You have your basic to seafood, all meat, mixed and so on. Restaurant alone is pretty spacious. Pictures menu along the ceiling of the windows as well as your standard menu. Food wise, we went with the spring rolls. 2 rolls which was pretty good in size and served with two dipping sauce, peanut and your traditional fish. Overall, quite good. Main, the Cali pho I believe which is the combination. Booth seafoods and meat. Plenty of seafood as well. Portion wise, it was pretty massive as it was served in a oversized bowl and served with a ladle. As with your pho dish, side veggies comes along side it. Broth was ok. Rice dish, we went with the seafood as well. Served on a sizzling plate with a good portion of steamed white rice and a generous amount of seafood as well. It was quite flavorful which was great. Overall, it was pretty good. There were loads of other pho dishes that looked amazing and will have to try next time. read more

Absolutely amazing place to bring a date and eat! The plants and the artwork gives a very peaceful air to the experience and the service is phenomenal! The food is seasoned so delicious in its traditional way & I recommend everyone to come by to taste the herbs and food as it is cooked with care and love!!! Nice, inviting and clean restaurant. Surprisingly empty (like the other businesses in this strip mall) on a Saturday night around 6pm, so I found a parking spot relatively easy outside. Staff were attentive and my order came out relatively quickly. I ordered Beef Spring Rolls which weren't on the menu. They were well wrapped. The accompanying Peanut sauce was a little creamy and less Peanut-y for my liking, but still good. My Beef Bahn Mi Sandwich was more like a Korean fusion. I enjoyed it, and it was packed with alot of meat. I got a report from my fellow diners that the Meat combo Pho was very tasty. The Fried Rice was good - not sure if it was more Korean or Vietnamese. A nice spot that I would return to. read more
