It was huge and juicy. I had to get Cactus Cooler, which was reminiscent of younger years, living in SoCal. But they do have a large selection of drinks. I def want to go back and try their other ginormous burgers. We also got a street hot dog. My kid just wanted cheese, and they were accommodating enough to have a medium sized bowl of nacho cheese on the side. The fries were good. They had a good seasoning. Dipped those in the nacho cheese as well. There are other items on the menu such as dim sum and beef noodle soup, which I might try next time. Service was very friendly and efficient. Came across this place on Yelp. Decided to try it out. It sounded very LA. And if there's one thing I miss living in the Bay, it's comfort food from LA. Street parking, but free and easy to find. I believe the couple owns the place and they are very welcoming right when you walk in. Ordered a lemonade and you can tell it's freshly squeezed and not overly sugary. To start, had the pork belly sliders. The pork belly was seasoned and cooked well. The slider bun was nicely toasted as well. Also had the pastrami chili cheese fries. I don't think it's necessarily an LA invention, but it's popular at many mom-and-pop burger spots. Having ordered this, the owner asked what part of LA I was from as 9 times out of 10, they're from LA. Their pastrami is ordered from LA as well and had tons of flavor. Chili was not your typical canned chili. Nostalgic all around with this. Got the Hurry Curry burger. Solid burger. Cooked medium with lots of flavor that isn't overbearing. One line review: It was okay. I wanted to like this place because I liked the owner. He served us and is just terrific -- friendly, welcoming, and accommodating of our special needs (we had a senior in our party with a walker, who needed some extra space). He is clearly invested in what they're doing at 310, and I would like them to succeed. The food, however, was just okay. I think the best was the 405 Traffic Jam burger; the least tasty, the Little Tokyo Po' Boy. The latter just sounded better than the actual product tasted. The former was okay but just a lot (too much?) going on in one burger. The 310 Street burger was fine but nothing special. The Red Coma fries (chili cheese fries with pastrami) were interesting to try once, but I wouldn't do it again; $16 is just too expensive for what you get. Go for the regular fries ($4). I'll make this allowance: It could be that we just needed to know what and what not to order. But what we did order was only average. Parking was free on the street -- always a bonus. It was busy on a Saturday at 2, but we were still seated right away. The reviews praising the service are right, the staff are SUPER personable and friendly. We got the shishito peppers, shoestring fries with tamarind seasoning, cross town bowl, and 405 traffic jam burger. We added fried eggs to both entrees on the recommendation of our server, and honestly it was the right choice each time. The shishito peppers were excellent, and the fries were a great accompaniment to our entrees. The cross town bowl featured the puck fried rice, which is SO GOOD. It has a savoriness that feels like they fried it in duck fat. The chicken was perfectly crispy and the curry jam, which tastes like Thai coconut curry, was a great addition. The 405 traffic jam burger was maybe my favorite burger I've ever had. The ground short rib and bacon patty was so flavorful on its own. Love seeing Asian fusion restaurants, but prices are usually kinda insane as well at these kinds of places. Not only do they have burgers and other bar food, there's also a dim sum menu and other classic Chinese entrees going for twice the price you'd see in an average Chinese restaurant. I'm talking $4 for a single cha siu bao. Maybe the Chinese dishes here are great, but I'm too poor to pay just to find out. I ordered 310's Street Burger ($17) with cheese (+$1). Yes, I also think that's a very expensive burger, but I get a little crazy sometimes. You can immediately see how the meat to bun ratio isn't great. The patty is pretty small and placed in the center, but a lot of empty bun surrounding it. I hate having to take a few bites of plain bread before getting to the meat. But once I made it to the meat, everything was absolutely delicious. The bacon jam especially did a great job enhancing the flavor. I recently stopped by 310 Eatery for the first time to have dinner before a show at the Ivy Room, a nearby music venue. It was one of the best dining experiences I've had in some time. I ordered a cheese burger with bacon and crispy onions and a side of tamarind fries. (The fries were recommended by a fellow diner and are a must have IMHO.). The entire meal was simply delicious. Gil, the owner, helped me navigate their expansive menu, and the entire staff was attentive but did not hover. In short, I think the 310 Eatery is the essence of what a very good "locals" restaurant should be ! I should also note that you can order a beer from the craft brewery next door for a perfect complement to your meal. Just writing this makes me want to return. read more

Tried this place while craving a good, solid burger and it didn't disappoint! I got the Albany burger and salt and vinegar fries and both were delicious. Burger was cooked medium well, but still juicy with a lot of flavor and I enjoyed the tang of the salt and vinegar fries. The server was very friendly and attentive. She mentioned their family was originally from the East LA area and relocated a number of years ago. The place wasn't too busy when we went on a Saturday afternoon and street parking was easy to find in front of the restaurant. Came on a Wednesday and walked to the middle of the restaurant. Noticed another room was open and that was a bar. Waited 4 min to get seated. There was 1 table with 2 customers and me and my partner. We got seated next to kitchen and got the menu. There was 1 server/host and 1The restaurant was spacious and the service was unusually slower than usual for a Wednesday and empty seats. Another couple came and decided to sit at the bar area. We got our order offer 8 min of looking through the menu. After our order was taken, we waited 20 min for our food to come out. The burger was ok, not enough veggies for our preference. The bun was sturdy and did not break easily which is good for a bun. The patty was cooked very well, medium well. We also the pork belly wrap. Wished they wrapped the spinach and cucumbers in the wrap tho. It was pretty dry and hard to eat with the hoisin sauce drizzle on the outside (wish that was drizzled on the inside of the wrap). The wrap was flaky and delicious however the presentation would have been better and practical. We got the fries with nacho cheese with fried chicken and sausage. It was nothing to take home. What a fantastic place! We came in here at random and were delighted by the exuberantly absurd menu. The husband and wife owners are incredibly friendly and happy to chat despite being busy, and the food matches its over-the-top inventive absurdity with sheer deliciousness. Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. We ordered the Melrose sandwich, pork belly sliders and a chicken temescal sandwich and a side of cheesy fries to share. The food was good, tasted fresh and had lots of flavor. Only issue is how small the sliders were, but my husband said they were delicious. We enjoyed that they let us sample as many beers as we wanted, before we made our choice. My husband and I both ordered the mandarine ale and bought some cans along with the jasmine rice ale home. The service here is very genuine, the mom and pops kind. The menu is quiet interesting with a lot going on. It was hard to decide. We landed on 2 burgers, pastrami sandwich, bell wrap, and fried noodles on the special menu. Burgers - then classic burger that we ordered was for my son and we asked for it medium well but it came out pretty much medium rare.... The traffic jam was fine and good. Bell wrap - the green onion pancake was crispy and the hoisin sauce was just about right. Forgot to take pics of the fried Asian noodles. It came with beef and gravy. Beef was a tad chewy. Gravy was too thick. All together, it wasn't that great of a dish. My pop didn't complain about the pastrami sandwich and said he would like to come back! Owners were super sweet and you can really tell they hold a lot of pride and love towards the restaurant. Honestly probably the best customer service I've had in the East Bay. Make sure you are paying attention to entrance cause you can pass it by as it is amongst a row of interesting places. Walking in, you will find the dinner is split with one part acting as a small open bar and the other half as a dining room. We were 3 for the table and sitting down originally, my friends and I noticed that it was kinda dark, but the waiter and waitress ( seemed like the owners) were right there to escorted us to another table with better lighting. After that, things got going quickly....ordering food and receiving it seemed like just a few minutes...Mango langassi was the drink of the night (even tho didn't get the pic)... trust it was good. I felt that the sandwich I ordered, the Melrose, was lacking a bit in the flavor dept -- I could barely taste the spicy slaw. It's an unusual and unique situation at this restaurant because it's connected by an entryway into the business next-door, which is a bar. So we sat in the bar, had our beers and they brought us the food in and we pay for everything separately just so you weren't confused when you go. Gill was a great host. And everyone that worked there that visited our table was very nice and courteous. He told me took her order and brought it to the table, but he checked in on us to make sure that everything was perfect and really that's an understatement. Everything was better than perfect. We ordered at our table for sharing the pier fries the crispy chicken Temescal sandwich. Also roasted shishito pepper snacks, and a big bowl of the beef noodle soup. Everything we tried there was five star. I have to tell you the service right through the door to the service at the table to pay the bill and service in between the entrées was like old-school.
