Spicy beef lemongrass noodle aka BBH

===TL;DR=== - Beef spicy lemongrass noodle aka BBH - Super pho combination ===TMI=== We weren't sure if we entered through the correct door but it seems like it was their parking lot door. We sat at their patio seating area which was sheltered. Super simple, fuss free menu. Their proportion was huge and their soup base was lovely. They don't have all the extravagant ingredients but everything hits the spot. Worth a try.

This was my husband's and my first time trying this restaurant. When you arrive, you place your order and pay at the counter first, then take a seat in the dining area to enjoy your meal. The prices are quite reasonable, and the food was pretty good overall. For me, the broth wasn't as rich or flavorful as I had hoped, though they do give you a generous amount of it. The staff provided decent service -- not outstanding, but not bad either. There are several pho restaurants along this street, and this was the first one we decided to try. Overall, it wasn't bad at all and definitely worth a visit, but it's not quite my top favorite just yet.

I was in the area and decided to stop by because I wanted a bahmi sandwich. This place looks like a house. As soon as you walk in there was a waiting area. Then the had the menu with some pictures. I ordered a shrimp bahmi sandwich. The price was reasonable I paid $11 and not every restaurant has shrimp.y sandwich was done very fast. The veggies were very fresh and the shrimp was good. They had a mayo sauce. Overall very good.

    Beef and meatball pho

Solid 4.5/5 Got the steak and meatball pho. Friendly service, parking in the back, fair price. More of a hole in the wall feel but cleanliness isn't an issue. The pho was good. Broth was hot, noodles not overcooked, clean and beefy (not artificial) broth. I'd happily come back

Came by for late pho lunch and it was perfect for a cold, rainy day. They don't really have "outdoor seating" as their "outdoors" area consists of wooden plank floors with a simple covering overhead. Their "indoors" area is nonexistent, it's just a place where you order at the cashier, with a few...like two tables by the register. Anyways, bundle up on a cold day, as there are no heaters, and the seating area isn't fully insulated. BUT the pho will warm you right up! I love me some beef tendon, and I was sad to see that their pho options were flank, steak, and tripe pretty much...really simple beef pho options. There's also veggie pho and chicken pho ga options as well. The pricing is slightly higher than pho in Oakland/Merritt area, but the quality and portions are well worth the price. The pho comes out hot and their trimmings include lemon, basil, jalapeno and bean sprouts. I wish we had lime and mint as well, but theirs is quite basic. Super Super is great for large groups, and pet-friendly. They also have their own parking lot that fits maybe like 10 cars? Also street parking too. Service is efficient and basic, seems family-run which I love!

Honestly, I go here almost every week. I now have my boyfriend and coworkers addicted to Super Super. I can't tell even begin to explain how delectable the beef broth is. It pairs perfectly with the chicken banh mi. I swear, they have me in a literal chokehold. The family is so so so sweet and their service is so kind. I will never stop hyping them up!

Best Báhn mì I have ever had. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the other items ordered because my kids ate so fast! We ordered the chicken rice plate and chicken vermicelli. Both plates were made to order and had very fresh-tasting ingredients. The restaurant has a parking lot in the rear and plenty of seating options inside. The scenery is relaxing and the service is quick. The gentleman who took our order was courteous and helpful in making recommendations as it was our first time visiting. I am definitely planning on returning to try more items.

Huge servings, authentic food, and a big space! I came with a couple friends and the food came out really quickly. You order at the front desk, then you pick a table with your number and they bring the food to you. Their chicken banh mi was so well flavored with a great sauce! Id come back again to get that another time! :)

Chicken Pho Specialty without any noodles + add vegetables instead!

So for anyone who knows me they know I love a really good noodle soup whether it be Japanese Udon or Ramen or something else so when I wanted to have some kind of hot soup tonight for dinner, I thought about having Pho. The only problem with that is I've been on a ketogenic diet for the last six weeks and I have to keep my carb count way down and the rice noodles would completely blow me out of the water for probably a whole weeks worth of carb counts but like they always do, this place has always to accommodated my dietary needs, and we're able to provide me with a Chicken Pho with no noodles, add Vegetables instead along with the normal herbs and bean sprouts etc... It was still really quite tasty as it was packed with cut up cabbage, broccoli, a little bit of sliced onion, and I topped it off with the basil and the bean sprouts and the jalapeño peppers ! I still miss the noodles, but it gives me something to look forward to once I lose another 10 or 15 pounds! This is why this is one of my goto Pho places in town! Thank you Super Super! You guys are The Best!!!

Cute neighborhood restaurant with a small parking lot. Very low key and clean. The menu was not as extensive as other places, but seem to focus on essentials. Pho was one size for about $16ish, but it was a large bowl with lots of noodles. Pretty plain but with good flavor. The bahn mi was more of a regular sandwich, with not so great tasting meat. I'd skip that. Service was friendly and fast.

Visiting Berkeley for a Gymnastics meet and decided to have a hearty warm bowl of pho with my daughter before heading to the event. So glad we stumbled upon this delicious meal! Piping hot pho with fresh shrimp spring rolls was delicious. Patio seating offers heat lamps to warm you up. Great meal and amazing service. Must try!

First time here. Made a stop for dinner with my girls. Location was easy to find. They have their own back parking lot. Seating was out in a inclosed patio. You ordered and pay at the register and they'll bring out your order. It is self seating . We ordered pho (#1 and the meatballs) and Bun bo Hue. Pho broth was not bad. The BBH broth tasted just like the pho broth with a spicer flavor. We've had better BBH. The portion of the noodle was pretty small for the price. The portion size here would be like a small at other pho restaurants. Restrooms were dirty and smelly.

    Edwin F.

Giving this a 3.5 because the pho wasn't very flavorful & was also lacking in terms of the meat portions given the price. I will say though that it is a nice little spot for when you want vietnamese food with their own private parking lot tucked in the back. They also have self serve hot tea & cold water so that was pretty neat.

The bowl was a strange contrast of textures. Flavor wise, there were more misses than hits. The pork belly was overcooked with the chewy meat rendered almost inedible. This is already on my top five list in a single visit. Went for the basics: beef pho, and salad roll with tofu. I was initially put off by the short menu and few options to add toppings (I didn't see any tendon or tripe for example), and worried it would be too bland or too sweet--but it was not. The broth was deeply flavorful and more savory. Meats were generous and meatballs were exceptional, maybe the best I've had. The basil and sprouts were garden fresh, and unusually, the rice noodles were exceptional, not at all soft or pressed together. I could genuinely taste the love here. It extended to the salad rolls which were generously portioned and used lightly fried tofu which I prefer. One additional note about the broth. It's a richer style than I normally like so I couldn't drink it to the last drop, but I can't fault its great flavor. The service was above average, with a spirited vibe. The pho was solid, with a clear, deeply flavored broth and noodles that were slightly al dente, which I personally enjoyed. That said, for $20, it didn't feel especially memorable. The crispy spring rolls were fine, but I prefer the ones I make at home, so I'd probably skip them next time. I was especially excited to try the Vietnamese beef carpaccio, and the presentation was beautiful. The beef was fresh, evenly sliced, and topped with baby greens, onions, crispy fried onions, and edible flowers. Unfortunately, the sauce leaned far too citrusy for my taste and overpowered the flavors I wanted to come through, such as fish sauce, vinegar, and sugar. I also think a little more fried onion and garlic would have made the dish more flavorful and satisfying. Overall, we had a decent meal with both highlights and misses. They also offer dishes like bánh khọt and bò lúc lắc, which may be worth trying on a future visit.
