Stylized color on monochrome art, in themed groupings, decorates this cute little restaurant.

I needed to meet a friend nearby, so we decided on this cute little place with authentic Vietnamese pho. It's small, but surprisingly roomy, with quick friendly service and lovely varied art arrayed on the walls in little themed sets. First, i tried their intriguing tart salted plum lemonade! An awakening flavor without overwhelming the meal. What a lovely red-plum color! I loved their bright fresh shrimp spring rolls, (gỏi cuốn tôm) of a generous number of medium-size chilled shrimp, with al-dente vermicelli, crisp fresh bean sprouts, cucumber, and lettuce, competing fresh bright mint and tart pickled shredded daikon and carrots, all wrapped in nearly transparent firm but ready-to-melt rice paper. Besides the nice light crunch of the shrimp, what sets this apart is the savory slightly sweet peanut dipping sauce. I can't get enough! Their fried calamari (Muc Chien) is tender with enough resistance, delicately coated in a simple lightly seasoned salt & pepper thin crust, with a lightly seasoned lemon sauce. You wont find a better lighter calamari. I had their pho chicken (Phở Gà (Bánh Phở Tươi)), tender strips of juicy chicken breast and flat noodles in lightly salty chicken broth, that I garnished from the side-dish of crispy fresh bean sprouts, minty basil, squeezed bright lime, and for me just a touch of fresh jalapeno, cut to bring some heat. Of course you can customize the pho with different meats and broths. It was exactly the fresh gentle lunch i was hoping for.

We were feeling a bit under the weather and decided to get some pho. I ordered the Pho Combination, which came with rare steak, brisket, flank, tendon, tripe and beef ball, and along with a side of bean sprout, jalapeno, lime and basil. The broth was really good, the meat was tender, and the portion was generous. Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of Le Pho and his passion was evident. The restaurant is very large, bright and airy. But what keeps me coming back is the spicy lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl. It's my favorite vermicelli that I've tried in the Bay Area! So flavorful, perfect amount of sauce and tang, and just fantastic every single time. The Vietnamese coffee is a close second. Obsessed!

Still consistently good! Their Pho Dac Biet today hit all of the right notes: a fragrant and hot Pho broth, tender and tasty meat, a nice balance of protein vs noodles, and appropriate garnish on top. Banh Mi's were delicious as always too!

Great service ! Super fast, they brought me my order super quick within 5 to 15 minutes of me ordering. The food was amazing. I got a veggie pho and the tofu spring rolls and they were fresh and tasteful. I went on a Monday so it was pretty quiet, but super relaxing

First time at this place and I wasn't disappointed. I could smell the food cooking from outside and it just stirred up my cravings. I loved the simple and clean wood look inside from the tables and chairs. The shrimp roll appetizers were good especially with the peanut dipping sauce and some spicy pepper sauce for the second bite, yum. The Vermicelli with chicken was lovely. The chicken was so tasty and grilled to perfection I could eat and whole bowl of just that chicken. The service was very friendly and prompt. Overall a very good experience and I would go back for more.

Ambiance here is nice. Boyfriend and I came in the afternoon and there were only two tables. The meats in the clay pot tasted good, but my only complaint for this dish is that there were way more meats than rice provided. The pho tasted standard so no complaints about that. The only thing I ordered that I did not enjoy was their pork belly bánh mì. For a bánh mì that is nearly $11, there was barely any pork belly or pickled carrots and daikon in there. And it seemed like they used regular mayonnaise instead of the traditional Vietnamese aioli. Sandwich was very mid, and I've had way better bánh mì sandwiches in san Leandro for $7 with double the filling.

It's a good place if you want hot pho. the broth is somewhat decent but I have tired better haha. the meat is slight too thick not really my favorite. the server is nice but she forgot our spring rolls lol. the layout of the restaurant is a bit weird. 3 people sitting in the corner is a bit tight.

First time visitors. The restaurant is spacious with windows to let in natural light. Street parking wasn't that difficult. Service was quick and friendly. The staff were attentive. Large pho #25 and it was delicious and very generous with their noodles and protein. Rice plate was ok. Seafood claypot, served in a claypot with the protein over rice. It was flavorful just more on the sweet side. I would definitely come back for their pho.

Despite the proximity to the best pho in San Jose/South Bay, finding great pho in Berkeley/SF can be such a struggle. We stopped by Le Pho on my most recent visit to Berkeley and I was pleasantly surprised. We dropped by during a quiet Friday at noon. The restaurant itself is bright and welcoming with plenty of natural sunlight shining in through the windows. The menu is extensive and offers pho, rice plates, vermicelli salads, and a few other entrees as well. I ordered the "build your own" pho with rare steak, brisket, and meatball. The broth here is noticeably more complex and satiating than others I've had in the East Bay. They are very generous on the protein which is much appreciated. We also ordered the fried egg rolls and a pork chop broken rice plate to share. Both were delicious and we even had a few customers walk over to ask what we ordered. Definitely would come back again on a cold night.

Very good Vietnamese restaurant. I went there pho and ended up having the pork chops that were very good. My friend had the Mongolian beef clay pot, and raved about it. The service was quick, but we went during the time of day when there was not a whole lot of people there. The restaurant is on a busy corner so parking can be a bit tough but the food is good. The service is friendly and seating is ample.

    27. Pho Chicken - Pho Ga B3- BANH MI GRILLED TURMERIC CHICKEN

Delicious food! I got a pretty basic order to share with my partner : imperial pork egg rolls, chicken banh mi and chicken pho. The rolls were fresh, flavorful and had great texture. The pho was simple but comforting. The broth was mild but layered with flavors, the noodles were well cooked and it came with bean sprouts, a generous amount of scallions, basil and jalapeños. The chicken was slightly tough breast meat, but most places use breast meat so this isn't really an issue here specifically. The banh mi was a triumph. Pate, mayo, grilled chicken (not dry at all), fresh pickled veggies and toasted bread. I loved it! The staff is very kind and they do a great job. The restaurant is clean, well decorated, and the ambiance is calm. This is definitely my new go to spot for Vietnamese food.

The corn cakes were fried just right so they were golden on the outside but soft on the inside and the slaw and sweet sauce elevated it. I would get both appetizers again. For entrees we had: Mama Pad Kee Moa (3.5/5) - instant noodles with fresh veggies and very thin beef. Flavor was good, but the beef missed the mark because it was lacking. Massaman Gai Curry (5/5) - the curry was so flavorful in this dish and the soft potato complimented it very well. Definitely the winner of the night. Chicken Khao Pad (Fried Rice) (3/5) - rice was a little too dry and the thinly cut chicken again did not pop out in the dish. Overall, very fresh and authentic Thai dishes. Service was fast and attentive. There are plenty of seating options to dine in, but I also saw a lot of take out orders. The green curry noodles came with vermicelli, and I wanted to try it since it's what they recommend, but it just was not the right texture for the curry I felt. The flavor of the curry itself was not super flavorful. I felt like more coconut milk could have been added to coat the noodles more. The spring rolls were good. I enjoyed the peanut sauce. We also sat at the front by the door, and it was rather cold in that seat.

There was no option to select a spice level when we ordered the pad kee mao, and it came out spicy. It doesnt come with basil but instead its stirfried with green beans, red pepper and tomatoes. Can't go wrong with pad thai. It was saucy with all the flavors of sweet, salty and sour. The baby back ribs are a must try! Some pieces have bones, while others do not. The meat is deep fried, but each piece is tender and juicy. It wasn't too greasy and was delicious when paired with the sweet and sour sauce.
