Great takeout experience! One of the best Mexican restaurants!! A must try. Great service and food. The guacamole is amazing!! Our family loved the tacos and burritos. read more

We have lived in Bethany for years and have been coming to the beach since we were kids. This was the biggest disappointment ever. Was hoping for a great Mexican restaurant similar to La Hacienda or Tio Gringos from back in the day. Unfortunately we received the most bland Mexican food ever at a ridiculous price. Will not be back unless the menu changes or they put some taste Into their food. The fajitas were all peppers and onions with no salsa no sour cream no cheese. The enchiladas were 1 tiny piece of chicken wrapped in a corn tortilla and NOTHING else. Truly disappointed. read more

Delicious food and definitely has a unique take on Mexican food! Would eat there again but the kids menu while good needs some improvement on execution. The rice and beans was small and the chicken was spicy for kiddos. Overall great food! read more

We live here in Bethany, and were excited to see a Mexican restaurant downtown. We went there last night at prime dinner hour. Restaurant was busy but not crowded. Took 20 minutes to get drinks another 30 to place our order. Food came over an hour later. Fajitas were basically oily green peppers, tomatoes, onions and two to three pieces of chicken and steak. For that dinner at that price tag we don't plan on returning. What a shame. read more

It was ok, you should just come here for the sides, but the food is ok rice is really good but just some of the food is ok, just come here for sides and the rice. read more

I've eaten here on four different occasions and each experience gets worse and worse. I loved the food and margaritas the first time I went, but the food quality has gone down already and they haven't even been open a year. Last time I ordered takeout the shrimp in my quesadilla had gone bad and I sent an email stating my issue and never heard back. I decided to give the restaurant one more shot today (cinco de Mayo) and ordered my takeout online 4 hour in advance and they still managed to screw up and lose my order! Even worse they didn't let me know that the online system was down and they didn't have the order. I had to find out after waiting 20 minutes past my pickup time that they didn't have it, which led to an hour wait. read more

We have gone twice and enjoyed everything so far. We especially liked the salsa although the level of spice was different between visits. One recommendation to the chef, please consider changing the soft sheels or even better make your own. Sorry if you do but they tasted cheap store brand. Considering how good everything else was the tortillas where disappointing. Thanks for the specials because your price point is a bit high. At a better regular price I would rate you higher. The special prices and the flavor will keep us coming back. read more

Really looking forward to dining here as a local. Simple understated beach appropriate decor. The live music is fabulous. Something we appreciated in their sister steak house in Lewes. Service was prompt if not knowledgeable willing to ask the kitchen. Not sure she always got it right but she tried. Beer selection on draft was fine. Tried their house margarita which was nice but the huge lime infused round ice cube displaced a reasonably sized margarita in a champagne glass. At the price too expensive to warrant a second when 2/3 of the glass is ice ball. Food was good although not remarkable. Prices are high for other than tourist season. Only one fresh fish choice which will limit my husbands interest in returning. Too bad. Was looking forward to having a good all year round upper end Mexican restaurant in town. Hopefully they will respond to feedback and requests! Again love the live music and the vibe! read more

The food and drinks were delicious. We ordered the mahi tacos, steak tacos, street corn and brussel sprouts. The chef/owner came to our table to ask how everything was. We would highly recommend this restaurant. There were many more items on the menu we want to try. read more

Excellent upscale mexican restaurant. All dishes were well prepared and very flavorful! Wonderful margaritas! Nice decor.

Went back tonight with friends and kids. The restaurant has definitely been listening to feedback - thank you!! The vegetarian was SO excited that the rice and beans are now vegetarian and the chorizo was taken out of the queso (but can be added in per request.). Dude ate with abandon. Veggies in tacos are fine, but having the rice and beans an option for a complete protein makes a big difference. Veggie tacos - yum! Rice and bean burritos - yum! Little one got kids tacos this time - chicken. The tacos are definitely more kids size than the burritos and are tasty. Friends liked their veggie fajitas and shrimp quesadilla. I enjoyed my house margarita quite a bit. Friends were disappointed because the margaritas they wanted (mango... and I think cucumber?)... and are a bit pricey as others have noted. But all in all, it just keeps getting better! Worth a stop in for sure! read more

If it wasn't for Ben, the excellent bartender and server, Zoca would get zero stars. The steak fajitas were tasteless and came out well, well done. Absolutely flavorless. The soft shell was the size of a mini taco; no cheese or gauc served with the fajita, and my rice and beans never came out of the kitchen, The mole enchilada had less chicken in it that a chicken wing. And, way overpriced for the entire meal. If I were a named chef I'd be embarrassed to be behind the oven here. So many better places in Bethany to have a great meal and drinks. read more

First time here!! The food is absolutely fantastic, beautiful presentation, and great portions!! The staff is wonderful.....so glad we came out tonight to eat!! read more

We so wanted to love this restaurant after hoping for years for an upscale Mexican restaurant similar to Agave in Lewes. The service was great, from when we checked in for our reservation to our server, and the chef checked in with us to see how we were doing. The space was pretty and beachy but not really Mexican. The cocktails were fantastic but the food was meh. We ordered the nachos which were okay but half soggy, half over crisped/burned. The mole enchiladas were filled with dry chicken and not the sauce the server told us (half green, half red). The burritos were the most popular at our table, but not great. We believe there is a lot of potential for this restaurant. Our issues may have been new restaurant kinks. We'll definitely try again and hope for improvement. read more

We were in on Sunday night. Decor and drinks are top notch. Fajitas were delicious but dont come with any traditional accompaniments: no sour cream, guac, lettuce, cheese. Chilies Nogadas had 4 shrimp for $21. Looked more like an appetizer? Also confused why charging for chips and salsa, really?! May want to consider a different system for rice and beans. All the entrees come with the rice and beans but we had to remind our waitress several times and they all came out separate. Alot of potential here hope they make adjustments. read more

Tonight we (four of us) had an excellent meal. We were a little hesitant, since the reviews had been so varied. But, what the heck, I talked us into it, since I LOVE mex food! We had; chicken fajitas, veggie quesadillas, chicken mole enchiladas, and a shrimp red lettuce and avocado salad. We started with two orders of fresh guacamole. One of my criteria for good mex food is that the sauces are appropriate for each dish....not all the same ole red sauce. I have to say the enchilada mole was very, very good. I read about portion size complaints; no issues with us.....if you want to gorge, go to Taco Bell. Also, the basic house margaritas were way above average. Good service, nice atmosphere....highly recommend. read more

Good food but slightly inconsistent in taste and prep. Different every time. Good addition to the beach though and will go back

Had a great happy hour experience. We sat at an outdoor high top...just right for a beach happy hour. Went off menu with a martini & it was perfect! Had delicious shrimp tacos & they were very accommodating of my allergies. read more

I see several negative reviews probably within a week or two of when they opened, and I think maybe they were a little harsh. My family and I had dinner there tonight and everyone loved their food. My husband got the chicken fajitas and he thought they were excellent. My daughter got chicken tacos and loved them. I got the grilled steak tacos and also thought they were delicious. We started off with the guacamole which my husband raved about. It was busy but the service was very good. I think they still may be tweaking some things, but if I did not know that they opened 2 months ago, I would not have thought it to be a new restaurant. Decor is beautiful and atmosphere inviting. They even had live music for happy hour - so next time we will arrive earlier! Four stars because they are a little pricey, but we will definitely be returning. read more

Great service and food. From the hostess, to our waitress, to the management - everyone was incredibly friendly. Our waitress made sure to tell us her favorites without being pushy. The drinks were some of the best I've had in a long time - the Paloma in particular was amazing. The food didn't disappoint either! I shared carne asada and al pastor tacos with my boyfriend so we could try both. They were both delicious! We had an order of guacamole for the table. I'm not into anything avocado, but my group said it was some of the best they've had. You can tell the restaurant is new and that the staff is still getting comfortable, but none of that took away from my experience. I'll definitely be back! read more

One of the new top restaurants in Bethany. I loved the quality of the food. I got the carne asada fijita, which paired tremendously with my flight of tequila. The service was just as extraordinary, if not better. My waiter Chase, was incredibly charming and willing to answer any and all questions we had about the menu. I was blown away by the smooth operations from the kitchen, to the bar, to the staff. I highly recommend trying this authentic Mexican restaurant next time you're in town. read more

Really fab when they first opened: large portions and fresh. They are really slipping tho -- portions are smaller and sometimes dishes aren't as fresh as they could be. read more

Fantastic! My server, Claire, recommended the Sonora's Pick (Prickly Pear Margarita) and it was DELICIOUS. Also had the Red Leaf Avocado salad. The presentation was beautiful with a wonderful combination of fresh colorful vegetables and the taste was exquisite. The ambiance and vibe was fun, energetic, and eclectic - just what we need in Bethany. The owner even stopped by our table to check how everything was going. Overall a great experience and will definitely go back. I was really surprised to see some negative reviews, but it might be because they just opened. They seem to have worked out the kinks. read more

Nice restaurant. Nice interior, great atmosphere, nice decor. Lights too bright though. The chicken enchilada though was bland, Not worth the price. Fajitas were not sizzling, Plenty of other places offer the same food around here for cheaper. Cocktails were okay. Lacking variety. The only rum they had though was Myers. Again, plenty other places offer the same for cheaper. Overall I would rate the establishment a 5/10, they really aren't taking advantage of the location. But, I will say, good luck to the company and hope they do well. read more

We enjoyed our visit so much! The restaurant is charming, with lovely decor and very clean. Drinks were awesome, my husband had the watermelon margarita, delicious! The food choices are wonderful, large menu that includes vegetarian meals as well as the Mediterranean special seafood dish my husband ordered. Guacamole very good. Wait staff amazing, very attentive. Reasonable prices, large portions. Recommend this oasis after a long day! read more

My husband & I walked up to check out the menu & were pleasantly surprised. While reading the menu a customer sitting outside chimed in to tell us how good it was. We made a reservation. Very charming place, well done! Everyone was very friendly & we were seated right away. We consider ourselves food snobs. We've been to many countries & love good quality food. The food & drinks were Phenomenal, as was the customer service!! The prices are incredible for the quality you get! Food was so fresh & flavorful!! We have a house in Bethany Beach & usually go to Rehoboth for higher quality food, so we're thrilled to have Zoca!! read more

I had high hopes for this place as harvest tide and 99 sea level are great. The decor is nice and cozy and waitress was nice . I was told they were out of house vodka , and instead of charging me the house price for the inconvenience I was charged for top shelf . Wife ordered the mole enchilada , and for $19 was an extremely small portion and the presentation was terrible. As a chef when I see " modern " on a menu I expect attention to detail and this was poorly executed . I ordered the Chiles en nogada which was supposed to be traditional and stuffed with potatoes etc and traditional cream sauce , was just a couple diced pieces of steak smothered in a green sauce which I could not make out ( similar to salsa verde ) topped with some wilted micro cilantro and sided with dry white rice scooped into a side dish. I do not mind at all spending money on great food , however for the price and not even serving what's listed in description is absurd . read more
