Nope, Wouldn't recommend. I said it, n will say this again, NOPE NOT RECOMMENDED!!! We visited this specific location for years. Until today, we decided to not coming back ever again. The tofu got smaller, the rice is no longer the same as its no longer served in the hot stone, and check how it's got soooo little and wet, almost like porridge, no more crispy rice. Don't even get me started on the seafood pancake, please check out my photos b4 deciding to order or visit from here, the grease is just another level. Did I not mention about the how it's very smoky & hot inside the restaurant, it's brutal!!! Even korean bbq has a better ventilation than here (please see pic). Service?! Nope, none at all. My friends and I have been trying a lot of new places recently and decided to give this place a visit. We went on a Friday evening for dinner. It wasn't busy so we were seated right away and they have a nice outdoor set up with a makeshift roof with lights and a couple of heaters per table. Whenever I go for Korean food I order sundubu jjigae. I thought Ziggle's sundubu was good, but nothing super special in my opinion. My friends and I also ordered the special spicy chicken stir fry to share which was really big. It tasted alright, but I wished it had cheese on it. The reason I gave 4 stars is mainly for the banchan. I thought the kimchi and others were good, but I really loved the cucumbers. It reminded me of a Korean style bar I used to go to in Houston and brought back some memories. Overall Ziggle was a nice experience, my friends and I had the whole outside dining area for ourselves which was nice. Food was good and priced as expected. Very delicious food! Even the banchan is good- we asked for refills like 3 times! The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is busy even on quiet nights. We love their bibim naengmyun- the noodles are bouncy and the broth is sweet and delicious. Its not too spicy either, which is perfect for my family because we can't handle it too well. We also really enjoy their soft tofu noodle- the soup is very flavorful and the noodles are perfect. Its a large portion too, so we often share this big bowl of delicious tofu noodles. We love this place.. back then there was BCD on northern across from KFC, but changed managers numerous times and now it doesn't even open late anymore.. we found this place used to be SGD tofu house and then changed to Ziggle. Just as good and opens late. You come in and the tv is always playing K pop music videos! Their Soondubu is honestly one of our favorites.. great flavor, not too spicy at regular for those who wants actual regular spice. They always serve w hot stone rice and we make the rice super crispy then add the tea to make their rice porridge. Their bon chon is pretty good IMO. The outdoor seating under the tent looks cozy and romantic. It caught our attention when walking by, so here we were. They gave us a lot of free appetizers, which is typical for Korean restaurants. What's not typical is that all the little dishes actually tasted very good! My favorite were the cucumber, the mashed potato and the fish cakes. Every good item was cooked to perfection and delivered full marks on flavor and textures. Banchan was artfully presented and offered refreshing pickled and marinated vegetables. They have the best tofu stews with soft flavorsome tofu and soup. The roasted croaker was done beautifully, just be careful with bones while picking the soft juicy flakes. Decided to go in because I had an hour before my train arrived and it was snowing. The food was great, they even gave me an egg souffle on the house. Unfortunately the food was still too hot and I didn't want to take too long because I didn't want to miss my train. So I asked for a takeout bag and ordered a soju so i could have some stuff for my trip to Manhattan. But then when I was walking down the stairs to the lirr the takeout bag broke and everything spilled and it ended up making me miss the train... And the next one was at 4 am, in two hours! All the while it's snowing outside. So I went back to ziggle just to escape the weather and I told them what happened and they had no empathy at all. They told me it was my fault the bag broke, so it's not their problem. I just wanted to stay somewhere inside warm and away from the snow since I missed my train, but they had no sympathy at all. They just told me to please leave since they close at 3. The kicker is I was having a panic attack so I took my anxiety medicine and the waiter had the gall to take half of my pill. Didn't even offer to replace the food and alcohol that spilled due to the flimsy plastic bag that they gave me, even though I left them a nice tip. Disappointing how coldhearted humans can be...Never spending my money here ever again and I encourage everyone else to do the same. Doesn't matter if the food is good, if the workers and the environment is toxic then it's just bad energy you should avoid. We got the seafood pancake and it looks like the saddest thing ever, like a flat piece of circle dough, it was flatter than my butt!! Barely any seafood visible, no crunch, looks and taste like it wasnt made fresh. Considering how they dont have much customers, food should be made fresh. We ordered mild for the tofu soup and it did not have any spice in it, compared to when we ordered back then. The soup tasted a bit on the bland side. Service is great, food isn't too bad. I'm writing a review to let everyone know if you pay with card you have to pay an additional 3.5% - and it is charged after you give them your card. So the receipt you get at first is the cash price. I usually calculate my own tip - and I noticed the numbers didn't match up. I calculate tip=subtotal * tip %. The % on the receipt is not reflective of the correct amount. So the 18% is actually 20%, etc. Considering the service was great- I felt like this left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

Also get a variety of side dishes and steamed egg (free of charge!) Must Try: tofu soup, I prefer the mushroom one or the sesame mushroom. I've never had tofu soup like the sesame mushroom flavor. All the soups come with rice (or you can get noodles for $2+). They also give you an egg to crack into the soup (since I'm vegan I gave the egg to a friend). The soups are packed with flavor, the regular spice level is perfectly spicy. The soup and rice are served in hot clay bowls that keep everything warm and delicious. The damage: $58.71 for 3 tofu soups (plus tip and tax) Highly recommend trying this place. The staff is super sweet. First time trying this place out and the experience was horrible. Not only was i given a bowl that had not been cleaned properly. I ordered a seafood tofu soup and my company ordered ramen. When our dishes arrived, both the entrees were the stews. That i let slide because everybody makes mistakes, even though we were the second table there... My tofu stew arrived with a dark hair strand!!!! I noticed only after having a few spoonfuls.... The taste wasn't even good and tasted quite off. It's noodle soup season and that's what I came here for. They used to be called SGD Tofu House when I ordered for delivery. They had plenty of side dishes and even steamed egg! You can ask for refills too. The water they gave tasted a but like barley. They did not check for vaccinations but might also because we sat outdoors. I was looking for a (hole in a wall ) or less popular Korean restaurant that I ve never tried before and found this place on yelp. This Korean restaurant is located a few blocks off the northern Blvd so I decided to give it a try. I got the beef short rib combo with seafood stew and seafood pancake. This is perfect for family with young kids in my opinion as it's not as busy and crowded comparing to those popular Korean restaurants on northern Blvd. The music is not too loud and the lighting is good so it's perfect for family who just want to have a quiet dinner . The highlight was the seafood pancake as it's one of the best seafood pancakes I've ever had. The rice tea they have is very good too. Rice flavor was strong. Everything were really good from the short ribs to the complimentary kimchi. The server was very attentive as he came by a few times to give us extra tea and complimentary kimchi. Would definitely go back for their seafood pancake. I believe their food quality are way better than those Korean restaurants that are more closer to norther Blvd. I think because of their location they really try to impress their customers with their high quality of food which is working for me in my opinion. I read a few reviews that mentioned about their portions being big. I think their portion is just a a little bigger than other places I ve tried. I have been waiting for a pick up for forty minutes, every time I asked, they told me five to ten minutes. When I checked again after fifty minutes, the only front house employee told me the food was ready, and I could tell from his face that he forgot to send the order to the kitchen. I used to go here when it was SGD tofu. I think Ziggle took over the spot during the pandemic. I recently visited and was mad at myself for having waited this long to visit! We ordered a stone pot bibimbap and mushroom soondubu and galbi combo. We were right away very impressed by the options of banchans! While many all Korean places serve banchans, I found that most have scaled back over the past year and half and many places now just serve kimchi, radishes and *maybe* pickled cucumbers these days (probably due to supple issues owing to the pandemic?). I was beyond pleasantly surprised to see that Ziggle had not skimmed off on banchans!! The fish cake, bean sprouts, potato salad, kimchi, radish, pickled cucumbers and steamed egg were all super delicious! Our main dishes, galbi was tender, soondubu was flavorful, and stone pot bibimbap was the tastiest we have had without being too sweet! As soon as we finished eating, we said that we for sure would be returning in the near future. Not only the food was delicious, the service was very attentive, and the place stays open till late. Underrated Korean restaurant in Flushing Koreatown! Great service and great food, with decent prices for select items. Beer was only $5/bottle, soju was $10/bottle, which is pretty good for dining out. They have very few (if any) already vegan options, but I was able to modify the vegetable soondubu (tofu stew) to just use water instead of their normal meat/fish based broth. That definitely resulted in less flavor complexity, but it was still pretty good. The rice is served in a hot stone bowl (as well as the stew), so the bottom gets nice and crispy by the end of the meal. :) We also ordered japchae ($18 for a large sharing size plate-- note the menu says noodles and vegetables but the dish has beef!!!), a seafood pancake, and fried dumplings. We got a small steamed egg dish on the house so that was also super nice! All in all a great place to eat and drink before going out to nearby karaoke in the area. :) read more
