The food here is subpar. The beef shawarma is dry, overcooked pieces of beef that were most definitely not carved off a vertical rotisserie. The chicken shawarma has more veg than chicken. The options on Main Street were a bit limited and we were so glad to have been able to get a seat here. We ordered the lamb kebab entree with rice and salad, shakshuka, falafels and the rose lemonade. The nice lady serving us was very friendly and attentive. We loved the falafels, it was super moist and flavorful and you could taste all the spices they used. The shakshuka was great as well very flavorful and the right amount acidity and saltiness. It was great with the pita though I wish the pita was a bit fluffier. The lamb kebab was good the meat was nicely flavored although a bit overcooked. The rice was a pleasant surprise it had a lovely flavor to it and the salad was super fresh. The rose lemonade was nice and refreshing. Overall I was very satisfied with my meal and the service here! Careful ordering on their website - we ordered and paid and quickly got a phone call that they didn't open for over an hour.. idk why their online system told us our food would be ready in 35 mins but glad they called. We showed up to pick up our order about 15 mins after the finally opened.. food was ok. They don't follow anything written in the special instructions on their website (or at least they didn't for us when asked to put stuff on the side, etc), the shawarma plate with "salad" is just chopped tomato (not a salad in the least) and when you order the $8 hummus - it doesn't come with any pita or anything. Take out. Small portions. Ordered veggies thinking I was eating healthy. There was 2 onion slices, pepper and zucchini. They were greasy and slimming served with mediocre hummus. Menu said that it comes with salad. No salad was given with food. The schwrama was inedible. What was eaten was bad and now my spouse feels sick. Sides are small containers that cost over $8. Worst meal I've ever had honestly. Go get some gray dry store hummus and a bag of pitas and a few veggies and you are better off. read more

Checked out this place at 8:30ish on a Saturday night, the place is so cute and cozy and TINY I'm sure it is way busier during prime time. There were only 2 occupied table plus us. It's byob with a corking fee which is nice. The 2 other tables seemed to be there for a looooong time just socializing but the atmosphere was so relaxed that it was OK. I used the yelp free check in coffee which was not good and not hot. I asked for milk but they said they didn't have any, maybe milk doesn't go in Arabic coffee but it needed something haha. I got the sittos soup which I loved and was so hearty and tasty and would totally order again and I loved the bowl it came in. My boyfriend got the lamb shawarma and I got the falafel wrap with Zatar fries which were flavorful. He enjoyed his lamb, the wraps were nice and tightly wrapped and grilled so they weren't falling apart or anything. I liked his shawarma better than my falafel wrap. Friendly service from the one girl that was working the restaurant. If in the area I would return. Prices were also affordable and worth it. But serious though, that rose water... they need to bottle it in gallons bc I would buy that alone! We stayed for a good almost 2 hours chatting and never felt rushed, or as if we needed to leave. I went with my family and honestly missed the sign that said "wait to be seated" but missed it as the sign was facing the other way. No one waiting non the less and we grabbed the next outdoor open table. The waitress acknowledged us and said, "give me a few minutes." Minutes turned into 45 minutes of waiting with my daughters and wife. Both waitress and helper ignored us multiple times while serving the others multiple times. Finally, we decided to walk away without making a scene. Now reading the reviews from the OWNER himself, I see why this behavior is allowed. It is a quaint restaurant on Main St in Beacon. The dining area is very small and makes for a more intimate atmosphere. The décor was subtle and with an air of Middle-East. The menu is simple, so it is easy for me to select my dish. Although we came on a Sunday night, and the restaurant was full, service was very quick. The food was good; the waitress and restaurant owner stopped by many times to check on us. I had the Mujaddara and a kibeh. They were both delicious. This place was fantastic! My boyfriend and I went for date night and we loved every minute of it. I ordered the falafel rice bowl and my boyfriend ordered the lamb rice bowl. I love Middle Eastern food so we came here for lunch even tho we had heard it was overpriced, but the shawarma pita sandwich and the fattoush salad were both disappointing. The pita was cold and the shawarma while being well-seasoned was dry and seemed like it had been reheated from the day before. It was also the least amount of meat I have ever had in a pita sandwich. The salad was likewise small and just a bit underwhelming. It gets 3 stars because the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice, and also there are many things on the menu we didn't try. I asked a staff for recommendations, and she told me that bowls are good. I ordered a bowl with beef kababs. $4 more if you add meat. Hummus are good with vegetables and rice. Suggest the blond woman hostess/waitress cool down a bit. Ordered $100 of food and went to go pick it up. Food initially wasn't ready on time, which she rudely communicated. When it was ready, she placed two bags on the counter, unlabeled. When I picked them up to try reading the illegible receipts she angrily walks up to me and snatches one of the bags away and pushes my bag toward me. A simple "oh, your food is that one" would've sufficed. I'd rather not pay $19 for three tiny skewers of meat in the "mixed platter" for that service. read more
