Walking in, I see my boss enjoying her drink! I knew it was at the right place when I saw her! The barista let me chat for a minute before I got to ordering. For my usual, I grabbed a small iced americano with room for cream. I totally spaced on asking for any sugar free options so but biggie! My drink came out delicious! It was perfectly made with the right amount of ice, espresso and cream. I added a couple blue packets of sugar and it was perfect. It was just what I needed! The venue is very bright and inviting. It is smaller but small isn't bad, it's more intimate. I love how simple this place is, not a lot of distractions. I found another great coffee joint downtown to add to my favorite list. Checking out local coffee joints is always fun for me so I stopped in today for my afternoon caffeinated beverage. The coffee shop is smaller, more intimate. I love the setting of this place. It looks like a log cabin. There's a few tables to sit at, comfy chairs to chill and enjoy your drink. All it's missing a fireplace. I could sit in front of the fireplace, sipping on my coffee for hours. The most perfect way to enjoy your coffee. There was only one barista working and she was hustling! There was a couple drinks that she was making for guests ahead of me. There was also a gentleman waiting to order and someone was also in the drive thru. I didn't mind waiting, it gave me some time to look over the drink menu and goodies that were available. I appreciate that they have a fun Valentines menu out. They also have quite a few speciality drinks. It's fun to step outside of your normal drink once in a while so I grabbed the Lucky Moose today. Since they have a great variety of sugar free syrups, I was able to get my drink sugar free. The Lucky Moose is a vanilla, caramel and Irish cream breve. I was kinda nervous having all these different flavors in one drink but it was worth a shot! My drink was tasty! The flavors all together are a little different but good. I am happy that I got to try it but it's probably something I won't get again. Maybe I'll do one less flavor next time. The breve was creamy. The flavors were noticeable. The espresso was bitter but balanced. It was a great iced breve. This place would be fun to chill at when the weather is nicer. There's tables and chairs outside with a nice awning. Grab a slice of pizza next door and then grab a goody to snack on as a dessert with an iced coffee. Talk about a good afternoon! I ordered the Blueberry Cinnamon Roll Twist and asked for it warmed up, but received it cold because it missed the note at checkout. When I brought it back, the gentleman at the counter was incredibly polite. He explained that they normally serve it cold so the cream cheese topping doesn't melt. I told him I didn't mind the melt, and he immediately warmed it up for me. It was phenomenal--warm, rich, and even better than the standard Cinnamon Twist (which was also excellent, flaky, and perfectly spiced). I also tried two drinks: 1. Iced Banana Bread Latte with Cold Foam: Super creamy, sweet, and absolutely delicious. 2. Vanilla Bean Matcha with Oat Milk: This was my first time ever trying matcha. Because I have hypothyroidism, I read up on how matcha can be beneficial for thyroid health depending on the milk and syrups used. I was nervous it would taste like dirt, but the oat milk recommendation was perfect. They said that's all you get, no other solution, I had to ask that they would just cancel my order even though I wasted my time going out of my way to this location for this deal. This kind of customer service is unacceptable. If you're going to promise $15 of value, you shouldn't bait and switch one muffin that doesn't even cost five dollars, you should either make good or not sell that package. I felt like I was being pranked because they kept telling me to just pick up the order, which was five dollars for a tiny muffin, when that wasn't the deal.
