I was downtown at a dr appointment. Took another way home to avoid afternoon traffic. The other way home allows me to pass this coffee joint. I stopped at another local coffee shop this morning and was so disappointed in their coffee, I barely drank any of it. I have been here a couple times and knew I was in good hands for my afternoon pick me up. The gal behind the counter got me all squared away. I ordered my regular drink that never fails me. A small iced americano with sugar free white chocolate and room for cream. As I'm hanging out by the counter watching the sweet gal make my drink, I can tell she screwed up. She was adding so much water to the espresso shot in the measuring cup. She poured it into the cup and it was filled to the brim, no room for cream. She allowed me to pour my own cream but I had to dump a portion of my drink out to make room. It already sucks knowing my coffee was watered down and then to waste it as well, it's not best feeling. My drink was ok today. It was not as balanced with the espresso, cream and flavoring. It would have been nice to have had a consistent drink from this joint but it happens. We sometimes get that coffee that doesn't hit right and today is just one of those days for me. I know I'll be back. Hopefully next time my drink will be made right.

Such an amazing vibe - live music and great coffee. Would be an awesome space to work from home

I can't really say enough awesome things about this place. Just a great atmosphere to mingle, read, people watch, or work. Every time I am here there is always a small meeting back by the couches. I love that co-workers are mingling here often. It is a great gathering spot. Excellent coffee and drink options. The food looks tasty and is on my list to try when I come here hungry. Fairly close to the greenbelt (Simplot park area) so keep it in mind if you are in that area and craving a delectable coffee bean drink (or non-coffee bean too)!

Stopped here on a visit to Boise and came away very impressed. It's a nice space with a variety of drinks, as well as a few breakfast/lunch dishes and some cool merch. I had the sun and moon latte, a nice blend of turmeric and other spices. It was delicious and came out quickly. They also have a rotating menu of seasonal drinks (not all of them coffee/tea) that looked enticing. The seating here is varied and well-thought-out: a bar, regular tables, high tables, and a lounge. Many of the seats have convenient power outlets, making this a great place to do some work. I think the main seating area could get a little loud, but the lounge is softer and more off by itself. Overall, if I lived in the neighborhood, I could definitely see this being my go-to. Tasty drinks, nice place to work or hang out, and good vibes.

This is more than a coffeeshop, it's a mixture of a coffeeshop, a café and a lounge. They offer the same great quality coffee as the older Alchemist location, along with a breakfast and lunch menu, in an upscale environment. The decor is elegant, the atmosphere lounge like, and service very friendly. A hidden gem off the beaten path, but definitely worth the visit.

there should be enough texture/foam in the milk to make a simple design and it looked like this from the get go.

Beautiful design and ambiance. Friendly staff. I ordered a chai but their chai machine/dispenser was down (?) so I got a latte instead- it was not good- milk looked just warmed up with no creaminess, just flat. I couldn't really taste coffee (it was decaf but should still have coffee taste) The pistachio matcha my husband got was also not good, also very flat and thin in texture and odd flavor. We did not drink them. *we didn't say anything because we really didn't take sips until after we left so not sure if that would have offered to remake or refund. ‍

Alchemist was walking distance from my air bnb and I saw rave reviews about the cinnamon rolls. They are fantastic! The coffee was a nice compliment to the roll and the ambiance was relaxing and open. Definitely going back before vacation ends.

The food was really good but the coffee had a flowery flavor. The decor is amazing and very uplifting!

This is a super trendy coffee shop with great ambience and decor. They have cinnamon rolls the size of your head. Delish.

I will put my words in concrete to let everyone know that this coffee joint has the best Chai and staff, hands down! You can't compete with this shop. They are always on point. Thank you to the two baristas working last Saturday afternoon(7.25). The both of them took such good care of me. They were kind about getting me a non communal lid and straw. I have to be so careful with germs and my new kidney. No hesitation, they provided me what I needed to be safe. Your kindness speaks volumes! And I appreciate you so much for it! I look forward to another chai breve soon! Especially with Fall coming up. That Chai is going to hit different! It's going to be so great!

Our Lattes came fairly quick, maybe 15 minutes at the most. The latte art was exquisitely applied. The latte itself was served in a large ceramic cup. I ordered and paid for an extra shot in each but I'm pretty sure by the weak taste I did not get them. I wasn't watching, I just trusted them. We also ordered two House Granola + Yogurt Bowls that took awhile to come out. They were very different from the standard and usual. There was no fresh fruit or berries but instead a cherry compote. Also added was some almond butter, honey, and a bit of cinnamon. Thrown on top were some chia seeds. The granola was sparse and of no added taste, but perhaps a bit of texture. Although not what I expected the resulting concoction tasted very good, even though my wife didn't find it as appealing. The portion size is huge. I would order this again without remorse. The ambiance is of a very busy and active hub of diverse groups. The audible level of many many conversations was party like.

We enjoyed our coffee with unlimited refills and took a booth where you can people watch and we could see the capitol building. Friendly staff and good coffee. I appreciate the variety of baked goods and even the discounted day old items. Good place to grab a coffee when you don't have much time. Loved the artwork on display too. Several little tables here and booths and one larger table. My quiche was good. Everything I expected and I got the day old banana bread which was dried up and hard on the edges and soft in the middle. I guess that's why they discount it. After a day it doesn't hold up too long.

I was suggested to call in and see if they were some available the day of. So, I called in this morning to do an apple fritter check. I talked to Emily this morning. I was told that they don't serve apple fritters. So, now I'm confused to whether they do or don't sell fritters. She did tell me that they have apple bear claws and an apple bread available. I asked if a bear claw could be set aside for me. With it being Saturday morning, I wanted to guarantee a bear claw after I got off work. I wanted to take one home to my husband since I promised him one. I headed in around 9:30. It was chill so I probably could have just snagged one but I wanted it to be a guarantee. The gal behind the counter grabbed my bear claw. Paid for it and made me way out. On my way to the car, I couldn't help but be baffled to how light the box was. I got into my car and opened the box up. Bro, to call this pastry in this to go box a bear claw has to be a joke. A bear claw to me is big, palm size. Multiple people handling a big claw size. I was so disappointed at how tiny this bear claw was. Honestly, to have it be called bear claw is criminal work. And to have it be pushing 5 bucks is criminal work too. Don't get me wrong, the bear claw was decent. It was frosted. The pastry portion of it was soft and buttery. There was apple but very subtle. The size of it is comparable to street taco but fluffier. To compare a bear claw to a street taco is just insane to me.
