I've been here a few times and my opinion never changes! Definitely one of the best cafe/coffee shops out here in Boise! My favorite thing to get here is their matcha latte ... with strawberries or without... any flavor of the season matcha! lol and my husband loves their Meximocha! Staff are always so sweet, welcoming, and nice! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute and casual place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love coming here!

Opened in Fall 2024 in the building that once housed Pho Bac, a Vietnamese eatery owned by the sweetest senior woman where I used to love to eat Bun Thit Nuong before the Fire Department closed the building in about 2020 for "..."life safety concerns with non-permitted propane and electrical work as well as other violations." It sat vacant and every time I drove by to go to and from Neighbor Tim's (a GREAT BBQ kiosk take out place) next door, I wondered what would become of the building. I was wishing for Tim to open a sit down service eater, but alas wishes don't always come true. This year the Blondie's Way owners decided to remodel and reinvent it into a coffee house, something that should be popular in this part of town with little competition for it and a high school nearby and a parking lot pretty easy to pull into as one drives by. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is light and bright, cool or cold for interior design depending on one's point of view. Sparkling clean as a very good thing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. My first, and probably only, visit here was a couple of weeks ago. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Americana to go was good and price point competitive but the rub for me is almost all of the seating is high counter and table height.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As a person who has had multiple sclerosis since my college years and can't climb up on those, this is a no go. So coffee grab and go and not sit down to try out the eats or other things. I read a great article a month or two ago, in EATER I think, where people of both genders who were in their early 30's were complaining about the need to use only high tables in so many places. One of them said something like, "The closer you get to 35, the more you realize high table only seating is a bad idea because almost no one wants to use it." True that. And I can't so there's that too. I don't know, maybe the high school kids, like the one who wrote the FTR here and employed what it seems he learned as "word of the day" that day to describe "insane" and "insanely" issues with service waits and prices will like those high perches. I laughed with that kid not at him because I found neither wait nor prices to be quite "sane", but I wasn't a teen on high school lunch break. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I hope owners of all kinds of businesses, this one included, consider comfortable seating that works for everyone. In particular, grown ups[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

I'm all about supporting local coffee joints so I had to try Blondies Way today! This venue used to be the old Circle K back in the day and then Pho Bac. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Needless to say, I'm quite impressed on how they remodeled the joint. It's bright, the flooring is beautiful and it's spacious. The esthetic is very modern and clean. The windows in the front give it so much natural lighting, it's great![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of seating and tabletops to enjoy your drink, socialize or do homework.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The one thing that throws off the vibe is the neon signs that they have and the strung black lights. It feels out of place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Today I grabbed a small white mocha with oatmilk. The gal that took my order was really sweet! She was patient as I was looking over their menu. My drink was made pretty quickly as I came at a slow hour. There were quite a few baristas so I'm sure you won't be waiting too long for your goodies. My drink was delicious! You can taste the white mocha but it wasn't overly sweet. You can also taste the coffee without it being too bitter. It was perfectly balanced. I also appreciate the size of the coffee. I grabbed a small and it came in a good sized cup. I know a few local joints that use smaller portions so it's nice that they don't do that here. You get enough bang for your buck! If you're looking for a local coffee joint to support, hit up Blondies Way. I know they just opened up so have a little grace when it's busy. I'm excited to see them prosper.

This review is based on the delicious coffee but also my personal preference for coffee shops. The drink itself was great - I got a basic vanilla latte, and it was really smooth. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere-wise, it felt a bit dry for me. It wasn't as comfy as my other favorite spots.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There also isn't a full food menu for breakfast, but they do have lunch paninis and some pastries. The staff was nice - I could tell they were comfortable with locals coming in and already had regulars they knew. Overall I think a good spot for a quick coffee and/or business meeting. I work from a lot of coffee shops and probably wouldn't pick this one as often as others. But def try some of their drinks!

Drinks were delicious, white mocha breve is definitely better than Moxie Javas. Tried a new drink which is a brown sugar shaken espresso with oat milk but don't think it's my thing, but if you like that type of espresso drink then I definitely recommend. Lady at the front with blonde highlights was very nice and patient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Little building was cute and I love the flooring; it's a nice touch![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I come here almost every day! By far my favorite place in Idaho to get matcha, not only matcha but the coffee and pastries are amazing. The staff are very friendly, they remember my dogs names and writes them on their pup cups, by far the best customer service I have ever gotten at a café. I suggest the ham and Swiss paninis as well! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also the location is looking right out to the mountains and it's a great view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The café it's self has great seating and an excellent environment I love it!

Two enterprising young women are owners of this gem of a popular West Bench neighborhood gathering…read morespot that they created in what was an old dump of a 1950's era strip mall space and funded in part with crowd sourcing. Being curious since they opened this in Fall'ish 2024 and finding myself in the neighborhood, this was a destination stop for my husband and me when we went in about 11:30 on a weekday for coffee and a nosh. Pride of ownership shines in the clean and funky feeling interior and it is clearly popular because it was full, almost every seat, of people that seemed from the neighborhood, including a number of parents with young children. They advertise this as coffee and market, but I honestly didn't notice the market part, in that things for sale didn't jump out at me. That may have been because I was just trying to navigate to a seat in and out in the crowded space. THE MO: Coffee and the limited menu for food is ordered at the counter, carry to your seat and bus your own when finished. Although we were the only people at the counter and there were two people in the kitchen, it took quite some time for someone to come to take the order, although once someone finally saw us, they were pleasant, if not welcoming, in taking the coffee order and then again when my hubby went back to order pastries to go with it. MENU: Coffee, other beverages and a very small option of eats is listed behind the counter and on a paper menu there. Options included soup of the day and Gaston's bakery pastries. There were some breakfast sandwiches by local provider Poppyseed Bakery in the fridge section, we weren't told about them but seeing them when passing by the fridge on a trip to the loo, asked if they could be heated and were told they could be. We chose a couple of pastries ($5.50 each) and were reminded why we seldom buy Gaston's products for being too buttery and one note. The cortado ($4) were good. I noticed a woman at the table across from us who was sipping a beverage and eating what looked like a sandwich she had carried in. I don't know if that is part of allowable stuff or not. The pottery used for all of their coffee service, ours and the mugs at other tables, is great. AMBIANCE: They did an admirable job here of making this light and bright and just funky enough with pride of ownership and loving care in maintenance sparkling through. Seating includes a few level in, not step up, booths along one wall, a sofa and chairs near the front and many standard height tables and chairs (maybe too many when all full as getting to seat is tough) and a play area for kids in the corner. It had far less comfortable 'breathing room' space than I anticipated from photos. But I didn't take interior photos to post because I think it is rude to do that when lots of people are going to be in them who maybe don't want to be. ;-) LOO: There are two and both are uni and sparkling clean with great murals on the wall and good plumbing fixtures. My husband even pointed out the "cool" sink. Both are ADA compliant so kudos to them for that. (Yes, it is law and code but you'd be astounded by how many ignore both.) ACCESSIBILITY: One ADA parking spot right outside the door. (There are too few spots for the parking lot but that is not the coffee shop owners' failure. That is the lot owner's issue.) Level in the door. All on one floor. The tables would probably work for a wheelchair user to roll under. But it would be near impossible, based on my experience yesterday (I have had multiple sclerosis since age 20 and sometimes use a wheelchair) for a wheelchair user to get between tables and chairs for a clear path of travel to get to seating or the loo.

That said, Form & Function really does bring something fresh to Eagle. The vibe is modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed without feeling cold. I also think they have the biggest alt milk selection of any local coffee shop I've been to, and I've tried basically all of them around here. Their seasonal drinks are consistently good too. One underrated thing? They're one of the only coffee shops in Eagle actually open on Sundays and open later into the afternoon. That's surprisingly rare around here. (Yes, Eagle Coffee & Bakery is open too, but their coffee always tastes burnt to me.) This place clearly thought about how people actually use coffee shops. Tons of seating options, lots of outlets, side tables that work well for laptops, a big upstairs group table, plus a little play kitchen and games for kiddos. The downstairs can get a little loud because of the high ceilings, but it's still way calmer than most busy cafés. Everything is super clean, including the bathrooms, which honestly matters more when you have kids. One of my favorite little routines now is grabbing a coffee here and taking my daughter over to Stephen Guerber Park afterward.

I have had the pleasure of checking out their downtown locations, especially their location at the Sparrow. It's such a great vibe down there! After finding out that this location is right down the road from me, you know I had to make my way in. I came in later in the morning so it was pretty chill. The venue is bright and simple. I love the simplicity of everything. The walls aren't over decorated. The tables and chairs and nicely spaced, the big windows give such great bright lightening and there's wonderful outdoor seating available too. I initially was on the wrong end of the counter. I finally realized and made my way to the register. I wasn't greeted by a barista. She wasn't the friendliest but she wasn't rude, she was there. She got my order squared away and I just hung out till it was ready. While waiting, I did notice all the goodies they had available. The baked goods looked fresh and yummy. I do believe they have a chia seed pudding in the little refrigerated case, it looked good. I'll have to grab some chia seed pudding the next time I'm in! I got myself something different from my normal americano. Today's drink was an iced matcha with almond milk. I did ask for some sugar free syrup. The few couple drinks I have gotten from the two other locations were Chai so it's good to know about not having sugar free syrups as an option. The barista did offer me honey or maple syrup as an alternative. I took up on her suggestion for the honey. My drink looked fabulous. It was rich in color. I really like the ice they serve here, it's great ice to chew on. I do like my coffee/tea to be slightly sweeter so I did end up adding a couple packets of blue sugar to my drink. I did a good few sips before I added the extra sweetner. It was hearty in matcha and you can taste the creaminess of the almond milk. The honey was there but the added sweetener did help enhance the honey. I enjoyed the nice weather today and had my drink outside. They have quite a few options for outdoor seating. Picnic tables, a few andorak chairs and a pint size picnic table for kids were available. I appreciate the big umbrellas at the picnic tables. It gave nice shade. In the space between the coffee shop and the boutique next door is where a lot of the seating is. It's quite charming and relaxing. I adore the strung up lights. I couldn't really enjoy them today since it was so bright out but I can imagine it being a great way to end day in a fall day. A hot cup of coffee, sitting in a huge andorak chair under the lights. It's great to know this local coffee joint is right down the road from me. I have always gotten great drinks from the other Form and Functions so it's nice to have this location as an option. My drink was good and it was nice being able to enjoy it under a huge umbrella today. I do wish the staff was a little friendlier. I came later in the day so my mood is already set. I couldn't imagine having the people working today start my day. I wouldn't be in the best mood. Hopefully the customer service will be a pleasant as my drink the next time around.

A great place to have an intimate coffee date or work. I was instantly greeted by a gentleman behind the counter. He grabbed my order and got my drink started. I ordered my usual drink today. A small iced americano with cream. They didn't have any sugar free syrup options which is a bummer. He did ask if I want monk fruit or stevia sweetner, I passed on both. He did offer raw honey so I took up on that offer! He finished my drink and I noticed there wasn't any cream. It was filled to the top so it was pretty watered down. He did pour some of the coffee out and added the cream. The raw honey was nice but it still wasn't sweet enough for me so I added a packet of blue sweetner. It's a drinkable cup of coffee but it does lack flavor cause it was so watered down. I had really high hopes for this joint. After reading the reviews, I had high expectations. It looked like they pushed out great coffee! The venue and the gentleman were on point today but my drink was a flop. While waiting for my drink, I noticed all the cool patches from different police departments. Supporting our police departments is so important to me! I remember they have baked goodies that my husband would be interested in. He's doesn't like all the frilly stuff, just the good ol classics and Eagle Coffee has plenty of that! We came in around 12:30. It was pretty chill. A few guests outside enjoying the September weather and a couple guests inside. We checked out the food cases and found what we wanted. In my last review I had the keto quiche. It was a little overwhelming for me. The Mediterranean quiche was suggested so of course I had to try it. And it looked good in the food case. We were instantly greeted by a bunch a happy faces. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant for my husband. My Mediterranean quiche was ordered. I snagged a small iced cinnamon honey dirty chai with almond milk and a huckleberry lemonade for the husband. I believe everything we got is going to be so good! The ham and cheese croissant looked mighty tasty! It was nicely heated. You can tell it was nice and hot cause the ham and cheese was starting to slide out of the croissant. Husband smashed the whole thing and I wasn't even offered a bite. My quiche had beautiful pieces of zucchini and cheese on top. I really enjoyed the sun dried tomatoes in it. The filling was fluffy and soft. It was a great suggestion from the manager! I might have them heat it up just a hair longer next time, it could have been warmer. The huckleberry lemonade was killer!! It was tart, sweet and bubbly. I was only allowed one sip and I made sure it was big! My first round of chai did not look like normal and it didn't taste good. It was so dark and bitter. I did ask the barista if there was chai in my drink cause it didn't taste like chai. After we got it figured out, a new drink was made. My first one was not what I had ordered, I don't know what it was. My second round was almost perfect. The honey cinnamon chai was so good! It was sweet and spicy. I love the added cinnamon in there. It tastes like it should be cold and holiday season outside. I did pay for a shot of espresso to make it dirty which I never got. It was almost a cup of perfection. I really enjoyed our little coffee date here today. The food was good. Our drinks were tasty. The staff was nice. And it's conveniently down the road from us. I'm happy we stopped in today for our Sunday goodies. I look forward to another round of food and drinks from this joint.

I will put my words in concrete to let everyone know that this coffee joint has the best Chai and staff, hands down! You can't compete with this shop. They are always on point. Thank you to the two baristas working last Saturday afternoon(7.25). The both of them took such good care of me. They were kind about getting me a non communal lid and straw. I have to be so careful with germs and my new kidney. No hesitation, they provided me what I needed to be safe. Your kindness speaks volumes! And I appreciate you so much for it! I look forward to another chai breve soon! Especially with Fall coming up. That Chai is going to hit different! It's going to be so great!

Our Lattes came fairly quick, maybe 15 minutes at the most. The latte art was exquisitely applied. The latte itself was served in a large ceramic cup. I ordered and paid for an extra shot in each but I'm pretty sure by the weak taste I did not get them. I wasn't watching, I just trusted them. We also ordered two House Granola + Yogurt Bowls that took awhile to come out. They were very different from the standard and usual. There was no fresh fruit or berries but instead a cherry compote. Also added was some almond butter, honey, and a bit of cinnamon. Thrown on top were some chia seeds. The granola was sparse and of no added taste, but perhaps a bit of texture. Although not what I expected the resulting concoction tasted very good, even though my wife didn't find it as appealing. The portion size is huge. I would order this again without remorse. The ambiance is of a very busy and active hub of diverse groups. The audible level of many many conversations was party like.
