Very small and expensive Turkey Swiss sandwich.

Prices are going up and food size is going down. I went in for a Turkey Swiss sandwich today an left very disappointed. This sandwich is now half the size of what the coffee mill use to serve. They are going cheep. Over $8 for a sandwich almost smaller than the aoilli serving cup.

Great spot for coffee and pastries! The Coffee Mill is located right in the middle of Harris Ranch in Southeast Boise alongside the infamous ice cream shop "The Still." My iced latte was awesome! The Coffee Mill puts three shots of espresso in their large iced drinks so I was definitely a fan of that! Also, my mom's blended beverage was really good but was definitely on the sweet side. If you order one of their blended espresso drinks and do not like very sweet drinks, I recommend asking for less pumps of syrup. We did order two pastries from their pastry case; a marion berry scone and a bear claw. The marion berry scone was a hit but the bear claw was on the dryer side and looked more like a croissant. Also, it did not have enough sugar so it lacked flavor. All in all, awesome spot for coffee!

Bought 4 breakfast burritos, drove less than 2 minutes to get home, only to discover than 2 of the 4 burritos weren't even warm. They were pre-made and COLD. There were hardly any other customers there, so it's not like they were in a rush. They just gave us cold food. Thankfully we were going home and could put them in the oven ourselves. We spent over $50 on coffee and burritos and it was a complete waste. The customer service was also terrible--we felt as if we were inconveniencing them by even ordering. We had questions and the girl helping us acted annoyed that we were even asking them. We will not be returning. Update: just got the burritos out of the oven and they don't even taste good.

Top left: iced coconut caramel cold brew (yummm). Top right: hot salted caramel mocha. Plus breakfast sandos

Updating my review to 5 stars. We've been coming here consistently for several months and have never been disappointed. We absolutely love their coconut caramel cold brew! Also enjoy their breakfast sandos. The customer service is top notch - they are always upbeat and friendly. And they give our pup a treat when we bring him along :)

I'm so glad to see another food and beverage option open in the hood! A coffee shop has been on the wish list for years and so far Steve and his crew have not disappointed. This only the second day of operation so they are still working out some kinks in supply and demand. Food. The egg, ham and cheese breakfast sandwich is pretty solid. Prepared ahead of time, it's heated up and not bad. The ham is high quality sliced deli meat vs a chunk of Canadian bacon. My husband had the bacon version and said it was good too. Drinks Iced lattes were great. I usually judge coffee by its hot version, so I may come back to this. But this was delicious. My son enjoyed his strawberry banana smoothie. Ambiance I am really going to like hanging out here! Fireplace, couch, and plenty of outlets for charging will make this a prime location for study, resting, or grading. My only complaint is with the high stools. Everyone it seems is going to these terribly uncomfortable metal chairs where the backs wrap around. For those of us endowed in the back, they're horrible. But-- they're pretty popular right now so there's that. Other Wine and beer selection look solid! Maybe we'll be so lucky as to see some cheese plates pop up in the afternoons to replace the breakfast pastries!

This is our "go to" anytime we are in Boise. They have the most welcoming staff in a very quaint part of town. You can sit inside by the fire or outside on the patio. Take your pick! They also have a leave a book/take a book area for those looking to enjoy a good read while sipping on great coffee.

Nice little place, only one of its kind in the Harris Ranch neighborhood. I had a hard time deciding between 3 & 4 stars on this one. Redeeming qualities: friendly staff, easy parking, free WiFi, sustainably sourced coffee, wine & local beer, clean, lots of seating (in and out), 3 unisex bathrooms, nice variety of pastries. Not as much: underwhelming food presentation/quality, smaller coffee menu. Prices were ok. Drive through option. An ok neighborhood spot.

Whoops! I almost forgot to share the best part... the amazing ham & cheese croissant! Yum!

I have driven by this shop a million times but never got the chance to make it in. After checking out all their photos and goodies off their website, making my way in today was a must. The shop is very small and intimate. You are immediately greeted by all the goodies as soon as you walk in. Colorful macarons, the cutest cheesecakes and beautifully displayed scones and muffins. The display case is nice and bright, allowing you to be able to see the details and coloring of each macaron. The pretty piping on the cheesecake. The fun layers of the cakes. It was hard not to want one of each thing out of the case. It was our first visit for my daughter and I. As a new customer, you're trying to absorb everything about this store. You want to look at all your options! The gal that initially was going to help us pretty much just stood there and stared at us. Didn't really talk to us. Didn't ask if we had any questions. She had the most unpleasant look on her face. It honestly made me feel so unwanted and uncomfortable to be at the shop. I offered to let another customer go ahead of us so she wasn't just standing there waiting for us to order something. The second customer also needed some time. Finally a gentleman came in and she got him some coffee started. Another gal was working and she helped us. At that point, I was so turned off about getting anything but we were already there so we decided to grab a few things. My daughter and I decided to share a 6 pack of macarons. We snagged lemon, birthday cake, coffee, chocolate, creme brulee and cookies and cream as our flavor choices. She also got a red velvet cheesecake for us to share after dinner tonight. On our ride home, we broke that box of macarons open and had to try them all. The lemon was sweet and tangy, I love the lemon custard in the middle. Birthday cake reminds me of a pink frosted animal cookie. The chocolate was my favorite! Very chocolate forward and sweet. Coffee reminded me of a vanilla latte in cookie form. Cookies and cream was much like cookies and cream ice cream. More cream forward and less chocolate cookie. Creme brulee had sugar toasted on top which created a slight bitterness to the cookie but it was balanced with how sweet the cookie was. All 6 macarons were fabulous! I look forward to having the red velvet cheesecake after dinner tonight. I like that there are so many gluten free options at this bakery. I adore how petite and prettily decorated the pastries were. I appreciate that this joint is local as I love supporting local businesses. But, first impressions are so huge for me and my first impression of their customer service wasn't there for me. You can push out great products all you want but how you make someone feel during their purchase can make or break your business. As fantastic as my macarons were, all I can think about was how uncomfortable I was when I was just being stared at. Macarons and cheesecake can be purchased at a few joints in our valley. I'm happy I got to enjoy some goodies with my daughter but I'm going to go support another local business that will actually make me feel like a valued customer and not a bother.

Headed to gym event, but needed doughnuts haha! Did they have them? Nnnnnnope! Made me very sad. This place sells their cookies in WinCo and I think Whole Foods. Their cookies are RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING! I could easily eat a bag of 8 in probably half a day lol. Then I'd get all depressed because my bikini wouldn't fit right :( So when I asked about the doughnuts she said they haven't been making them and I think she said it was because of staffing issues. Thanks to the virus and people now refusing to work because the government is giving them too much in unemployment, this is the case with way too many restaurants, bakeries, etc. That's my subtle jab at the current government and what they're doing to the country lol! So I left without doughnuts BUUUUT I did buy a bag of cookies. The same bag I could have bought at WinCo or Whole Foods. She said basically everything they did that morning was make the cookies for the stores and she watched them leave to take them to the stores. Exciting! I felt all guilty as soon as I bit into one of the cookies but OMFG THEY ARE SO GOOD! Have y'all ever been to a crumbl? If you have one where you live GOOOOO! This places cookies are basically they lower calorie version of Crumbl because some Crumbl cookies have 850 calories in ONE cookie hahahaha! Is it worth it tho? Absolutely lol So are these cookies, but if you are trying to watch your calorie intake then maybe stay away because you can tear through a bag of these with ease. Chocolate crinkle and snickerdoodles are my go-to's! Ooooooh! Ok, y'all, WTF is with the twist ties you used to tie up the bags of cookies? STOP using those! They are literally THE WORST! I'm sure they're cost effective but stop! I'm also sure with selling to those two major grocery stores plus selling them in your bakery that you can absolutely afford to use better ties, ones that we can actually open and reuse vs these where you can't just open them, you have to cut the top of the bag and then basically...the bag is useless after that. I know this sounds petty, but ugh they're they worst! Aside from that, this place is super nice. It's in a very weird location tho, I was surprised by that. It's like the only sit down place on this street. Across from them is a warehouse of some sort, half a block up are homes, it's just seems like it would be better on the north end, or NW Boise, basically anywhere other than where it is lol. The staff is super sweet, the ones that were there lol. I'll definitely be going back. Glad my first experience there was a decent one even if they didn't have doughnuts for my heffa ass hahahaha! Thanks for reading, Yelpiiteees! Cheers!

I was pulling onto Orchard by the Idaho Youth Ranch and saw their sign. I needed to stop in and see what kind of goodies they had. Walking in, you're greeted by their menu. Lots of goodies to choose from. I appreciate that this bakery uses gut friendly sourdough. My friend who I normally buy my sourdough from decided to take a break from baking. So now I'm trying to find someone who can compare to her delicious sourdough. The store is awkwardly set up. Racks separating the bakery from the store front. If someone is standing in front of the bread rack, you're pretty much stuck until they move. The front of the bread rack is what leads to the front door. But, as congested as it was, the racks and shelves were perfectly stocked loaves of sliced sourdough bread, cookies and rolls. It was overwhelming trying to check everything out without fearing you might bump into someone. They only had a couple options for the sweet goods, I honestly thought there would be more for Valentine's day. There were quite a few options of savory goods. The lady behind the counter said they had a late start so that could possibly be why there weren't many sweets available. I did grab a red velvet cinnamon roll and some chocolate chip cookies for a couple of my Valentines. I was interested in getting a loaf of sourdough for my husband. The only loaves they had available were kinda small. I was hoping for something bigger loaf that would last us for more than meal. The cookies were a hit with my family. I did have some of my daughter's red velvet cinnamon roll. It was killer. The cinnamon roll was soft and flavorful from the chocolate. The frosting on top added an extra touch of sweetness. I only had a couple bites but I could have polished it off easily. Not gonna lie, those 2 things I got were pricey. The singular cinnamon roll was 7+ bucks. It was a decent size but pricey for just 1 roll. The cookies were 4 to a package and at a similar price point or more. For those 2 items my total was 20 bucks. With people budgeting their money now a days, bread and pastries from this joint would be considered a luxury. People want a good amount of bang for their buck. What I got today was good but I don't see myself coming regularly when there's other local bakers that can make the same product for a portion of the cost. My interaction with the gal behind the counter was ok. She was more chatty with a couple regular guests. I'm happy I got to stop into this local bakery and grab a couple things.
