What really stood out to me is that they greet you like they are truly happy to see you. Even on my first visit they made me feel welcome, and now every time I walk in they greet me like a familiar face and make me feel right at home. That kind of consistency and warmth is rare and says a lot about the people who work there. The space itself is fantastic. It is always spotless, the ambiance is relaxed, the music is great, and there are so many comfortable places to sit depending on your mood. Sometimes I relax on the couches, other times I grab a table or sit near the window and enjoy the view. They also have plenty of outdoor seating, which is perfect on sunny Boise days and makes it a great place to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. It is one of those places where you can easily spend time working, meeting someone, or just enjoying a great cup of coffee. They also have great food, which makes it even better whether you are stopping in for a quick bite or staying a while. Everything I have tried has been fresh and really good. You can also tell that management cares about both their employees and their customers. When a place is run well it shows through the staff, the atmosphere, and the overall experience, and District Coffee absolutely delivers. I am new to Boise and this is one of the first places I recommend when someone asks where to get great coffee or find a comfortable place to spend some time. I have also had great experiences at their other locations. Boise is lucky to have them.

But that's the great thing about Boise- every day luxuries are just way more accessible. I came by on a Saturday morning and picked up a few coffees and somethings for our long drive + camping trip we were heading to right after. We picked up beef jerky, protein bars, chia seed puddings, banana bread, and even some pre-mixed canned cocktails. I also picked up their East-ender sandwich with turkey, havarti, pickles, and mustard. They offered to heat it up but I knew I was going to save it for a bit and eat it somewhere along our journey-- so I got it cold. It held up very well on their sesame roll. I knew it was going to be a long day so I ordered an iced Americano for myself and an iced vanilla latte -- the much needed caffeine boost! What really makes this spot 5-stars is the whole vibe. It's clean, open, organized and you can just feel the pulse of the neighborhood.

Overall I am kicking myself for not trying this place sooner and I will definitely be back with my hubby for a coffee date!

It's an open space, filled with an eclectic array of modern and vintage decor, plants, etc. It feels like a local hangout, and it was full of people chatting, eating, and enjoying themselves. We ordered a Breakfast burrito, the Cowboy breakfast, two coffees, and couldn't resist taking a scone home. We ate our breakfasts there. The breakfast burrito was somewhat traditional, and had lots of sausage and bacon added in, except the tortilla looked like it had been put in a panini press, giving it a lovely crispiness. It was served with both salsa and sour cream. It was perfect! My husband ordered the Cowboy breakfast, and this was far from traditional and came in a HUGE bowl! The flavor of this dish was dark and smokey, with a kick. I guarantee you haven't had a breakfast like this before. If you haven't been to Caffeina yet, definitely give it a try. You won't be disappointed. And if it's still Fall when you do, get a Caramel Pecan Chai. :)
