This Zaxby's is a bit lacking. I tend to go to the one off exit 5 but yesterday I gave this one a chance and my food was cold. However I will give it to them they are efficient and friendly. I was in and out very quickly and the man at the window was very nice. The issue here is never with the front of house staff it's more the kitchen. read more

After sitting in a line that didn't move I decided to go inside to place my order. seemed like a great plan when I got inside and the person ordering was the only person in line. After he finished I was stepping up when a customer who had already ordered jumped in front of me and said he wanted to place another order. The cashier looked at me, then turned back to the other customer and took his order. This process took a while as the man had to call another person, described the menu, and then finally relayed the order. As more customers came in the completed orders began to pile up on the counter. It was amazing how slowly the employees moved around going back and forth. The entire atmosphere was like being at a colonoscopy appointment. It was clear as day that not a single person working wanted to be there or took any pride in what they were doing. I honestly think it would take more effort to walk that slow than to just walk. After one employee finally decided that the completed orders should maybe be bagged they were randomly passed out over the course of around fifteen minutes. Believe it or not, by the time I arrived at my house a full six minutes later the food was room temperature. To top it all off, I ordered three extra sauces and by coincidence three saucesauces were busted open. If you think it had something to do with me I assure you I ordered, waited, and said thank you before leaving. This experience was the last straw for this Zaxbys. I won't go back if they are the only option to purchase food in the south east. read more

Well within the year i have lived here...i think i have eaten everything atleast once on the menu. My favorite is the Sal...excuse me Zalads and Zappitizers. My go to salad was the fried blu, however, dare I say that their bleu cheese is just TOO GOOD for my pallet?! It is the best bleu cheese i have tasted, however my body senses the purity and i eat it so slowly to savor the ingredients. I have never had a salad come out that didn't look as it was pictured with fresh items on all sides of a bed of lettuce just waiting to co-mingle for a great meal. I have to say the onion rings are one of a kind and great. I am so very sad they do not carry the fried pickles any longer. I'm a pickle girl and when you tell me i can get pickles fried i'm the first in line. So i have replaced that pickle frying obsession with onion rings, chips and white cheddar bites....3 for 1 The staff here is the sweetest. To be honest if i do not kick this Zaxby's habit they will know me by name VERY soon! Great job Zaxby's! read more

In past visits this location has had somewhere between poor and terrible service with lax attitudes that were reflected in the food. This is my first visit in at least 2 years to this location and there is a definite climate change. These people seriously need management that will improve their consistency. The past three times we have gone there something has been wrong. CUSTOMER SERVICE FAIL: Usually when approaching this drive thru to order, I am greeted with a friendly voice from within. Today, as I approach I am second in line with a car behind me. I hear the voice come over the speaker "Order when you're ready". then I approach the speaker and get the same dry, uninterested "Order when you're ready" and I order and pull forward but can hear the car behind approach and they also got the same"order when you're ready" No greeting, no cheerful hello, no welcoming voice. So as i am paying at the window i ask, Is everything okay, I am usually greeted with a welcome and cheerful hello. The girl at the window responds....: Oh, she has a headache. Really, then go home. This location needs new management...again. Had a very, very awful experience at this location back in 2008 (where I had to ask for a refund, sadly) and went again for the first time in 7 years two weeks ago to find that it hasn't really improved much. My order was right, but was cold and I received very few fries. It seemed like it was party hour for the crew working because they were running around and playing games and laughing with each other while customers were waiting to place orders or were waiting on orders. Now that we have a second location here in North Augusta--a much better experience the few times I've been--I will most likely never come to this location again. I honestly thought that after 7 years this place would have gotten its act together but nope, it's no better. Maybe I missed better management between then and now and only recently has it gotten bad again, but the service and food was extremely poor. It's sad because I've noticed how empty this location has been for a while now and it used to be one of the most packed places in the area. I guess that's what happens when you put the wrong people in charge. read more
