Customer service is really good. I Love firehouse subs. I didn't have to wait long at all. Very fast workers. I want to give a shout out to the cashier Madison and one of the workers named Karley greeted me with a smile and was very nice, they both helped me get my birthday sub. I placed my order on the app for delivery. I put specific instructions on the order to only deliver my order to me in my department at work as we have multiple people in my store that share my first name. I paid for the order through the app leaving a 20% tip for the driver. A few min later I received a text that they have patterned with uber to deliver my order. I received a text stating my order was delivered with no sign of my order. 30 min later I find out another worker got my order and ate it thinking his spouse had ordered him delivery for his dinner. I followed the link on my text that only took me to an automated assistant. I then called the store about a refund and after getting the run around I'm provided with 8882896185 to file a corporate complaint. When you call it an automated system that just tells you to file your response on line. $32 waisted with no dinner to show for it. Before moving to Augusta a little over a year ago I had never heard of Firehouse Subs, let alone eaten there. A year later and I love it! Any chance that I get my vote goes towards getting an Engineer sub. It is delicious! This particular location is pretty close to where I live so my room mates and I tend to go to this location when we are looking for one. Almost everything on this menu is amazing! When I'm in the mood for a sub sandwich, I always come here. I'm not a fan of cold sub sandwiches, which is why I think I fancy Firehouse Subs. I've tried at least 6 of the subs on the menu and I liked them all. My favorite is the Hook & Ladder, which I order without the onions. They always give you a pickle with your sandwich. I don't like pickles and I always forget to tell them. They salads are okay, nothing special. The desserts are not the best. I'm not sure if they are baked at the store or pre-packaged and shipped. I don't drink soda, but this location has the Fountain drink machine with over 100 flavors. I think a lot of people enjoy it. The sweet tea is good, so it's a great alternative. The place is always clean, even the restrooms. I like the Firehouse decor, which of course goes with the name of the restaurant. The Dalmatian tables are kind of cool. However, when I first visited I was looking for a fireman's pole inside. This location surprisingly doesn't get a lot of traffic. It's located off Washington Road and Bobby Jones Expressway. I'm always able to get in and out quickly. The staff at the location is friendly. They greet you as soon as you walk in no matter how busy they are. I say drop in and pick up a sub sandwich! Wow! What amazing customer service! My husband lost his father's wedding ring in the garbage, one of the employees went beyond to help us find the ring, we are so grateful for him. It happened today at 1pm, I failed to get the team member's name. This gentleman did not hesitate to come over to help us immediately. The food is always incredible when I go to firehouse! I absolutely crave the chili, and the turkey bacon ranch sandwiches today for. Love it. No need to order double meat, they do a great job with the portions. Also, pick up a pickle bucket for $2. Just remember to snap the lid... or you'll get a little pickle juice dribble on your car. Quick service and tasty subs. I've come to this firehouse for lunch weekly for about 6 years. It used to always be clean, most of the employees knew me by name, some even by order but over the last year or so it has gone really downhill. Twice now I've bought a drink with my meal only to be told after there is no ice... Wish I would have known that before I paid to drink warm sweet tea. Once I bought a drink and there was no soda available, the carbonation was out. Again, would have been nice to know. The sandwiches are pretty inconsistent, sometimes they're perfect, (the reason I keep coming back) other times there is hardly any mayonnaise, a tomato that really should have been thrown in the trash, or mustard when I specifically asked for no mustard. But the last straw that made me write this review today was I ordered a combo and paid as usual only to be handed a large cup instead of the standard medium. I look around and realize everyone has large cups. They are just automatically up charging to large without even asking? That's not right. I should have been paying more attention, but after coming for years it's so routine I didn't even notice I paid more until after I got this ridiculously large cup. I was on my lunch break and am not gonna hold up a line for 30 cents, but I'm just sick of the service slipping and now I feel like they're trying to take advantage of people by not even asking what size drinks. Usually has good food, been going here for a while. Recently the management and staff are acting so busy and successful that they've adopted this "I don't care" attitude about every step of the process. Line stretches throughout the building with one register open. People in the back sitting around claiming someone else is logged in. What?!?!?! Don t ask them to substitute one meat for another when ordering your 7 year old grand daughter a child combo meal as they'll respond no but you're welcome to purchase a regular sub for her.
