This place was so wonderful. I actually came here for a drink because I was very thirsty and didn't get much to drink before church so I came here mainly because they have the vanilla sprite. Ordered the hook and ladder fully involved on white bread. Got a bacon‍ sandwich- no turkey, no ham. Bacon wasn't even supposed to be on it. It was on wheat bread and they left off the mustard and tomato also. Basically, I got a bacon sandwich with mayo , onion and lettuce. Ridiculous! Don't waste your time or money. read more

Went in there on Saturday August 27, 2022. Ordered our food to eat in. Half an hour later asked for a refund because they were not even close to making our food. Then the one employee yelled at us that he wasn't even in uniform cause he came in on his day off to help because it was so busy. I grew up on Subway and have a special place in my heart for a BMT, so I wasn't really sure about going to a new sub place. My first few visits to Firehouse I got the meatball, which was pretty good, but once I got the cheddar brisket, I found a new favorite. For the food, I'd probably give this 5 stars. The only reason I dropped a star is that I have ordered online twice, and both times they didn't start making the sandwiches until I got there (I'd prefer to get there and just pick up the food and take it home -- I ordered online so I wouldn't have to wait). read more

This is the best sub place to go to in augusta hands down. Hook and ladder is amazing, always friendly customer service. you can never go wrong with Firehouse! I honestly just wish they had them where I stay at in california because as far as I know it's mainly an east coast restaurant. Very sad! read more

If I could give less stars than 1/5 I would. Saw online that Firehouse Subs offers a veggie sandwich. As well as offering the option to make any hot sub a cold one instead. I did not see the veggie on the menu board inside this location and asked the girl at the register if they had them. She responded that they have BLT's. That's wonderful but I'm a vegetarian. And then seemed spaced out and had to look on the computer and said "oh, yeah we do have veggie sandwiches." So I explained that I wanted it to be a cold sub instead and she was so confused that I requested raw veggies instead of sautéed and even asked again, "so no sautéed?". What I didn't realize was that she was not going to make a sandwich hardly at all. I grabbed my bag and left. On the ride home, I checked it and saw that it had ONE onion slice on there, ONE tomato (and the tomato had this giant hard white center that I couldn't even eat anyway), so I had to turn around and go back. She didn't add anything that was on the menu. No cheese. No mustard. It was a pathetic sandwich that I regretfully paid 6$ for. She "fixed" the sub and when I returned home, it had a single slice of cheese on it. I'm pretty sure if you order a sub with meat on it and get a single slice, you'd be upset as well. As a vegetarian, I was hoping there would be some substance to the sub. Instead, it looked like it was all bread. Sad excuse and terrible employee who doesn't know her own menu or even care to apologize. Never again! Jersey Mikes is where it's at...or literally any other sub shop. Pretty sure Blimpe in the gas station makes a better sub. read more

Firehouse subs has the best subs I have ever had in my entire life. I was in the army for a good while and traveled the United States thoroughly and found that firehouse subs time and time again has the best that I've ever had. They have a guarantee that if it's not the best you've ever had it's free. Problem is that I'll never get a free sub because I can't lie, they are the best. I suggest you get the hook and ladder it's a very good sub. The engineer is great as well. They have a nice row hot sauces. They range from level one to level 10 in hotness depending on how you like your heat. They have kids nights on Wednesdays and Sundays. Kids eat free with a paid adult. My kids usually get the meatball subs. The adult version the meatball sub is amazing as well. Don't forget to get a cherry limeade while you're there. They are the most amazing drink ever made. read more

I have eaten more than a few subs in my lifetime and as far as 'chain' options.... Firehouse, I love you. Priced similarly to all the others, they are simply better due to the amount of meat put on the sammich (because if it's made correctly, it's a sammich). Additionally, $2 for a 5 gallon bucket is a great deal as well. Expert advice.. make sure the lid is tight because they aren't washed out and you might spill pickle juice on your shoe. read more
