Fantastic beer and service with quickness and friendly attitudes for tired tourists. There were so many people waiting to be seated at the indoor dining area on the first floor that we decided to be seated upstairs. The heater was very hot and so intense that we didn't find the outdoor seating any colder than the first floor inside! All of the foods had to be brought up from the kitchen downstairs. Our server and other helpers brought beer and heavy dishes from downstairs so quickly and efficiently, I was impressed. The burger was fantastic at $14-18 and beer was cold and delicious at $8 for 25 ounces. The service was very efficient and intelligent. They split our bills three ways with no problem. I strongly recommend this establishment for cold beer and excellent foods. Try the Zax Hamburger with zesty sauce and jalapeños or dry chicken wings with ranch sauce and their excellent pizzas as well as the pastas. The Reuben's sandwich was also very delicious. read more

I had the bbq bacon burger. Excellent quality beef and large size, bun quality was tasty and well bodied. Fries were good but not remarkable. Overall a solid meal and definitely worth the 17$ price. You will not leave hungry. read more

It was OK. I ordered take out and didn't get a chance to really make some comments about the dining area or the service. But, the dining area is plentiful with inside and outside lower dining as well as outside dining on the second floor. I think it's a little pricey for what you can order elsewhere including the Crispy Cobb Salad and the Ancho Chicken sandwich. So down in ole Moab we decided to hit this place up for dinner. The service was better then the food, even though they forgot my fries. The fish was good the tartar sauce I think went thru a blended and was watery. The salad was good but the Bleu cheese dressing mustve gone thru the same blender as the sauce. Food was excellent!!! We ordered the Ramon large pizza and 2 sodas and it was delicious. The crust of the pizza was not soggy with grease and was made to perfection. The service was a little slow but the place was packed so this is not a negative but a positive because of busy it was we were expecting it to take longer. Our waiter was on top of everything, I even noticed that the table next to us the waiter asked for some else to bring them something and as he walked by he said he would go get himself and did, so kudos on the service. Ambiance is what it is on a busy night. Lots of hustle and bustle going on, some kids screaming because they are upset about something so if you're expecting a quiet restaurant this not your place. The only downside to the experience is parking. Parking is very limited in the area especially if you're not from like me. While I was waiting for my order to arrive I noticed a policeman outside the restaurant. I went and explained where I was and he very nice and allowed me to park where I was without getting a citation. Total tourist trap. 2 soft drinks and 3 grilled chicken salads with tip, 85 dollars. My son and I had the Greek salad with grilled chicken, the dressing was basically just olive oil and I had to ask for extra because there was hardly any on the salad. The staff is very friendly and it's probably the best place in town to watch a sports game, have proper drinks ( as they have a full bar ) and just relax in a cozy warm vibe. Food: more then just a bar menu. They are famous in town for their pizza. They offer a medium thick crust. I am Chicagoan living in California so being a pizza snob I will say this is "ok". What ticked me off, I asked for mushrooms to be added and they forgot. When I sent it back, the pizza came back with barely satayed mushrooms sprinkled on top. So I give this 3 on a scale of 10. Got the kale salad: the dressing was mixed in already with no option on the side, and found the dressing too sweet for my taste. 7/10 Hot wings: appreciated the meatiness. Sauce was great. 10/10. Go with blue cheese for extra flavor. Ravioli: yummy If you get lucky the street parking is right in front of the restaurant. It can be tough but not impossible. Came here for lunch today. They have covid systems in place, all employees were wearing masks. Social distancing when it came to seating. We ordered a burger and pizza. Both were tasty. The pizza was pepperoni with bell peppers. The burger was a chicken burger with bacon and fries. The only thing I would add is a little more seasoning to the pizza like garlic salt or oregano just to add a little more ump. We also had a couple of beers: The polygamy porter. We started with an appetizer of garlic knots, and these were the most hearty garlic knots I've ever had. Very fresh, very flavorful, and great in-house marinara dipping sauce. We then got a garlic pesto pizza and a honey chicken pizza. They were both masterfully crafter with unique flavor combinations. The honey chicken was a flavor I've never seen at other pizza places and it is now one of my all-time favorites. So sweet and savory and perfectly prepared. Visited for dinner and had the 10" Ramon pizza and husband had the Zax burger. The Ramon came with the typical sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, onions...and I added the black olives. The crust was crunchy and the pizza wasn't that bad. Hubby had the well-done burger, which I took a bite out of, and it was delicious as well. It's a pretty big portion so be sure you're hungry. My only gripe was the bacon. It wasn't fully cooked. I like mine on the verge of crispy to be sure it's cooked. Otherwise, I thought the meal was pretty good. Oh, and we also had the Apple turnover for dessert, which came with ice cream and whipped cream. The turnover was actually pretty good, but I didn't like the ice cream too much. Too many ice crystals as though it was in the freezer too long. I would return again, but I think I would try one of their salads next time. The waitress was very nice and attentive and the server who brought our food was very nice as well. However, I would not say the same for the hostesses. They weren't very welcoming. No smile. Should have tried this place sooner! The Gluten Free Cauliflower Crust is the best we've ever had!! It's not gross and cauliflowery ;). We got the Tree Hugger and added chicken and pesto HIGHLY RECCOMEND! The atmosphere is really cool and made us stop. They have misters that help you beat the heat but don't get you wet, which is cool. We got the Zax's Burger and BBQ Bacon Burger. The pizza crust is everything they rave about! It's a honey crust that compliments their sauce so well and even if you get no sauce and just olive oil!! I ordered make your own individual pizza- consisted of crispy crust, olive oil, basil, oregano, sliced tomatoes, and mozzarella. It was soooo tasty. The crust could have been a little more crispier towards the middle of the pizza but it was still very good. The other parties in my group shared a large pizza 1/2 cheese and roasted garlic bacon and 1/2 sausage and pepperoni. They said it was very good as well. It wasn't overly saucy, it had the perfect ratio of ingredients. We sat on the patio upstairs and it was wonderful and surprisingly not too hot. They have misters surrounding the patio to help cool off their guests- a great feature!! The only negative is the parking is so far away - it's not terrible which is why I didn't let it affect their rating but still not ideal. We stayed in Moab for about three nights and tried a few different local places. We stopped at Zax for pizza and salad. Food was good and prices decent for a vacation/tourist spot.
