    Carnitas burrito, mild verde sauce
    Guy D.

This place is so solid! HUGE portions and great tastes, sold in a small interior with little seating. There is a huge outdoor patios though with shade and good breeze. The Asada Nachos are ridiculously sized, trust me on only getting the half portion, unless you are feeding 2 people! Carnitas burrito is always good, just like the nachos! Queso and chips side is huge as well and served us three times as an addition to other meals in Moab. You walk in and order from a host at the counter, menu behind them is massive so take your time. Prices are regular for Moab but a little steep for the place you are ordering in....but then the food delivers!! Will be back EVERY-TIME we traverse Moab, thanks!!

I unfortunately did not enjoy my meal here. I ordered four different tacos and they were all extremely bland. The lack of seasoning and flavor was astounding. The lime served with the tacos was basically my hero. The only reason I will give 3 stars instead of 2 is that they do not skimp on the meat. The portions were generous but supremely lacking in flavor.

This place is so awesome that I came here daily for breakfast while I was visiting. Their breakfast burritos are really good and similar to what you find in West Texas. Don't sleep on this place, it's probably the best Mexican restaurant in town.

I came here the morning of Moab Locals' 10K race. The two tacos I got were delicious, as were the rice and refried beans. I also got a horchata to drink, good as always. A couple weeks later, I got an enchilada for takeout. I didn't like it as much. I also got a jamaica to drink, which was great.

Another berto's, another visit, this one being in the middle of Moab. For a day trip to Canyonlands, we decided to go early morning to pick up some items for takeout to eat at the park. Luckily they have their entire menu available all day - I think the only difference is that they don't have the salsa bar set up yet. Instead, the cashier offers hot (fiery red and smoky) or mild (green tomatillo) salsa. We also overheard some customers ask for avocado sauce and habenero salsa in Spanish. I guess those have to be asked for separately? Carnitas Burrito ($12.50) - This burrito is decently sized at around 3 inch wide by 9 inch long. It's pretty simply constructed with carnitas, crisped up nicely and flavorful, pico, nice and fresh, and some avocado sauce. It's wrapped up well in a flour tortilla that's been warmed on the flat top until it develops a bit of color and becomes nice and supple in texture. The interior is only a bit moist from the pico and sauce, which means that salsa is required to add a bit more into each bite. (4/5) Adobada Huarache ($12.50) - I haven't had this dish before so was excited to see what it would be like. This dish first starts with a fried masa patty base. It's deep fried until crisp and works so well is a base for the toppings. There's refried beans spread on the patty that kind of glues the rest of the ingredients on. On top, we have the adobada, which isn't fried especially well, being soaked in juices, making it moist on the outside, yet dry on the interior. The flavor is pretty good, kind of fruity with a little sweetness. In addition to the meat, there's a pleasing mix of sour cream, shreds of lettuce, sliced avocado, and cojita cheese crumbles. I feel like the huarache can't really be eaten with hands alone, but the cashier didn't provide us with utensils. (4/5) Giliberto's certainly serves some solid food. As expected for being in a small tourist town, though, it's a bit pricier than similar restaurants elsewhere. In fact, we had just visited a -berto's in Grand Junction a couple of days prior, and were surprised at the 40% surcharge Giliberto's. Again, it's kind of expected, so this isn't a complaint by any means! I'd still revisit next time I'm in Moab. Note: Gilberto charges a 75 cent "technology fee" for any order, which I did not see them display anywhere. I only found out about this because I requested a receipt. Eggs chorizo and cheese burrito. Plenty for two.

Best breakfast burrito in history. The tortilla feels freshly made with a bit of crisp and it has three ingredients--eggs, cheese and chorizo. No potatoes! It's a bit enormous for breakfast but damn if it's not exactly how I like a breakfast burrito.

Carne asada and chicken plates with chips and queso

Food was amazing. First time in Moab. Had been driving for 10 hours and was hungry. This hit the spot! The queso was so good as were the chips with it. Didn't taste like the cheap queso you get other places. The carne asada and chicken plates were very good as well. We ate outside and loved that option since being in a car all day. It was evening and dark and the lights on the patio gave it great ambience and felt restful after a long day. Perfect meal to end the evening.

Burrito Platter (near), enchilada and taco platter (far).

We had the burrito platter and the taco and enchilada platter, came out to $35. The employees are very quick and on the ball, got our food really fast so much hasn't changed since 2019. But the food is just kinda okay, you'll definitely get a fair portion for your buck though. Place is clean, and not too cramped. You do have to order your drinks separately though for the platters.

order water and they give you a dinky small cup. so sit near to refill

3 nights in town and thought we would try Mexican ... being out west thought it might be something special. We got here and saw it was more a fast food eating out Styrofoam containers. Bathrooms outside. Prices weren't bad but for was just meh. It didn't have flavor but the salsa we got to add flavor was wayyyyyy tooo hot for me. I was really torn between 3 or 4 stars. it was just ok and to be honest we wouldnt return.

So we had a nice day mountain biking, put in about 15 miles and we were starving. Really craving some good Mexican food. We checked out a few places online and those that had alcohol, the dinner prices were very expensive easily $22 a person in fact one location had just a bean tostada that was almost $16. Utah makes it very difficult for restaurants to either get a liquor license and when they do it's extremely expensive. We are also in the tourism area in Moab. So we tried out Gilberto's Mexican taco shop. You walk in order off the menu and they'll bring it to you. We had a couple of orange fans. We both ordered the fish taco combo plate and it was very good and hit the spot. Service was timely. Sat outside in the nice shaded and sunny patio. It is right on the strip and can get a bit noisy outside but after a long day, the food really satisfied. If you're looking for a beer or a cold drink after a ride check out the other spots, such as taverns and breweries once you've had a good meal.

Breaded fish taco ;-( Delicious carnitas taco ;-)

The restaurant was so cold I had to keep my coat on. Not customer friendly at all. Also, the cashier spoke some English and some Spanish so fast, it was difficult to order. The rolled tacos were okay. The fish in the fish taco was thickly breaded...not enjoyable at all. However, the carnitas taco may be the best I've ever had and the guacamole was smooth and tasty.

BBQ sounded amazing and I've never had a platter like this before. I couldn't turn down the 3 meat platter to try everything that peaked my interest. Starting with the hush puppies, fried, sweet, and savory. Yum! The brisket was so tender and juicy. The ribs were also tender and fell off the bone. The andouille sausage had cheese throughout it and I felt like it was too oily and fatty from that, but that ended up being my husband's favorite. We devoured the sides too. The beans and mac and cheese were a must. If I had more stomach space I'd eat a dozen more hush puppies. Outdoor seating allows your furiends. Order at the counter and enjoy! And don't forget to try their house bbq sauce.

I really wanted ribs but at 7pm they were all out. Kind of surprising to not be able to get this at a BBQ place but, got the pulled pork meal instead. The pork itself was very well done, and delicious. And really liked that they put all sauces on the side for you to pick and add as much or as little as you want. They have different sides to pick from... mac-n-cheese is usually a must at BBQ restaurants, but I would recommend skipping it here. Not hot, cheesy enough and lacking flavor. The coleslaw, on the other hand, was a great side.
