Had a great experience at Fiesta Mexicana. Fast and very friendly service. They use fresh lime for their goblet-sized margaritas, a must for me. These people really care about their customers. You can see this in their smile and body language and service. The food is well prepared although perfect for my wife's taste buds a little bland for me. I like more heat. The only Mexican restaurant I've been to where you have to pay for chips and salsa refill. My husband and I had the chicken fajitas, la crema enchiladas and guacamole salad. The fajitas didn't have much flavor and were overcooked so were dry. The enchiladas also lacked flavor. The guacamole was very good but in chunks, not mashed like we are used to. We are from Texas and have had our fair share of Mexican food and rate our food according to our experiences there. PLEASE BECAREFUL AND CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!!! Ordered 2 taco carne asada platters and 1 deluxe nacho. This was a phone order and the girl repeated the order. The total online for this was $58.98 When paying at arrival the charge was $109. That's $10 a taco! I was charged 2 fiesta grande with $15 added to each for "carne asada" I went in and a waiter loudly said "oh no" when walking in. He tried to explain it was an upcharge however I didn't order the fiestas. I had to go back in and talk with a manager. He asked if I was out of town?!? Then proceeded to refund $38 making the total $68 for a "Togo" fee of 15% but the original receipt didn't include the Togo fee. They know what they're doing. I think they're taking advantage of foreigners/tourist who wouldn't check or know the crazy price jumps. They should be ashamed of themselves and I'll gladly keep writing one star reviews read more

The wait staff were busy but really hustling, and boy, did they get stuff done! Very efficient. Everybody had a job to do, and they did it well. Four of us had various burritos, and mine was okay. Not the best Chile Verde that I've ever had, but still decent. One has a combo plate that I wish I had ordered. It looked good, with a chimichanga, an enchilada, and a taco. A little expensive, but then Moab is expensive everywhere. Five of us ate for about $140. I guess I'm just not used to these dang inflated prices, because that's a lot. Went for lunch on a Monday. Felt very welcome from the moment of entering the restaurant. Was greeted with a bowl of chips and salsa that indicated there was more good to come. The chips tasted homemade and had just the right thickness and salt. But I have to say the salsa was fantastic! You can judge most Mexican restaurants, my opinion, by its salsa, and the salsa is excellent. I was also not disappointed by the entrée. I ordered the tacos al carbon. The meat was tender, perfectly cooked, and was wrapped in a tender, perfectly prepared tortilla. The rice and beans were well seasoned. I would recommend that the restaurant wrap the meat in two tortillas because the tortillas were so tender they did fall apart. We both ordered the veggie fajitas. They were served with many different veggies. More than you typically get anywhere else. It was served with rice, salsa, lettuce, beans, guacamole and sour cream for those so inclined. Which is also more than what you get in most places. They were some of the best veggie fajitas we have had in a long time. The pinto beans were amazing. They were combined with chunks of onion, tomato, cilantro with a richly flavored broth. Something we don't usually find anywhere else. If that wasn't enough, the chips and salsa to start dinner were excellent. The salsa was very chunky and flavorful. We don't find that in many places. Usually you get a runny salsa. There was just too much food to finish. So we got leftovers to go and paid for an extra order of tortillas to go. The waiter and busboy kept on top of things. The prices were reasonable for a tourist area. We came in for an early dinner. We were promptly greeted and seated. Our server came right over and got our drink orders. There were five of us and we all ordered margaritas. I had a frozen pomegranate margarita. It was good but I would probably try a strawberry margarita next time. The drinks were not super strong. They also serve you initial chips and salsa with no cost but if you want more it is an additional cost. The salsa is homemade and has a bit of spice to it. Our meals came out quickly. I had the pollo la crema. The portion sizes are large. I took almost half home with me. The chicken was tender and the cream sauce was really good. All five of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. There are a lot of options for Mexican food in Moab. Don't choose this one. I got chicken tacos. They gave me boiled chicken, no seasoning or nothing, on hard shell tortillas with some tomato and a heap of lettuce. Rice was dry and the refries beans were watery. Total garbage food. We came here for dinner, just a short walk from our hotel. Right away the building welcomed us with a Coca Cola sign. We feel Mexican food paired with a ice cold Diet Coke is a must! Stopped by Fiesta Mexicana on the way out of Moab one evening based on a friend's recommendation and... it was absolutely worth it. The decor inside and outside the restaurant is really vibrant and really adds to the experience -- it's a nice change of pace from a lot of modern minimalist restaurants! You'll often find folks inside taking photos with statues inside and the staff will likely offer you sombreros to wear while taking them! The menu is pretty expansive and you'll find all the traditional items you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant. I personally got the Enchiladas de la Fiesta and they were great, and I heard similar feedback from the folks in my group. The prices are higher than some restaurants, but Fiesta Mexicana makes up for it with MASSIVE portions -- unless you're really hungry, you can easily get two meals out of a dinner entree here. The most notable aspect of Fiesta Mexicana is the staff. Our server was Ramon, and he continually made the experience fantastic by joking along with us and just injecting comedy into various aspects of the interactions. He and the team also did a great job with an impromptu Birthday song for my friend who was celebrating a birthday that day! As long as you're there to enjoy the experience, you'll have a great time at Fiesta Mexicana. Hands down I have no reservations in recommending that you check them out! read more

The food & service were both great and tasted pretty authentic. A girl friend and I were visiting the area and decided to stop by for dinner after a hike. The ambiance had the Mexican feels for sure.
