I love going to Zanys! If we go on Friday night we run into a ton of old friends. On Saturday night we run into the friends who grew up with our son. Its a perfect place for a business lunch during the week and weekends its perfect to stop after shopping. Regardless of what and when the food is always wonderful. What a pleasant surprise. We have been to Zany's about 3 times since we have been visiting Lewiston, ID. Each time is a new taste experience, but all 3 have been good. The food is good, service is on point and the price is reasonable. Great selection of dishes to choose from. My suggestion, try the fajitas! Ugh... 13 years ago... this place was great. Now... Maybe my tastes have been tainted by experiencing so many other places across the country (and the world) that are just SO much better than what Zany's has to offer... Maybe I'm a food snob? ... I dunno... I order halibut fillets and I get three pieces of halibut and one piece of cod (yes, I can tell the difference... and there is a HUGE difference). That's just a lack of integrity. Or maybe it's stupidity... Or both... My wife orders the Finger steaks... WAY overcooked. Tough inside. My baby has TMJ, that hurt her jaw... a lot... Let me tell you... She has no problems eating a PROPERLY cooked steak. She also has no problems eating a PROPERLY cooked finger steak (Hey... take a 40 minute drive to Peck, ID and eat at that little diner off US 12... order their finger steaks... THEY do it right... You could learn a thing or two). These guys just cant get it right... zushi? Com'n guys... I've had much better... and it didn't have to have a lame name to make it catchy and tasty. Sorry... This place is average they should not be so expensive. The decorations are super tacky and, the service was horrible. Do not eat their Mexican food because it tastes horrible and is way over priced. My boyfriend got a burger and, it was average. I did not like the hoarders atmosphere and how loud it was. This place was recommended from a friend and by the lady at the front desk at Holiday Inn Express. I'm a fan of supporting local businesses but I never would've chosen to eat here... however what I've learned with my short visit to Lewiston is not to judge a restaurant by it's exterior :-) There was great customer service the minute you walked through the doors! The decor, although cheesy was fun to look at. A wide variety of stuff on the menu... I had a vegetarian sushi roll and my husband had the street tacos with chips and salsa. The sushi roll was different than any other I've had before but not bad. My husband loved his carnita street tacos with amazing guacamole salsa. I also had a yummy strawberry margarita and he had a Texas mug of beer (32 oz for like $6!). Wish I had room for dessert since some of it looked good. A friend and I stopped in for an early dinner. I hadn't been in since the renovation. It is nice, but still maintains the same fun atmosphere! There is always something new to see! I ordered the turkey dinner. It was served with a salad, which I had with the huckleberry vinaigrette. The salad was simple, but fresh and I loved the dressing. The dinner came with mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce and the turkey with gravy. Everything was good and the portions were large. I usually have one favorite part of the dinner; I enjoyed it all! Waitress was patient and helpful. The menu is huge and offers a variety, so it took us awhile to decide what to order. Everyone around us was ordering huge milkshakes and floats! I'll be back for that. Food quality and atmosphere are why Zany's customers keep coming back. SECOND REVIEW I just visited this week. Both the sports bar and restaurant were busy! This tells me Zany's continues to be a local favorite. This time I ordered a cheeseburger deluxe and it was delicious. We had the worst dining experience at Zany's and I will never eat there again. We went there to have a nice dinner and watch the Dodger/Brewer baseball game. We told the hostess that we wanted to watch the game while we eat and she told us that the bar area was closed and in the main dining room they lost the remote. I was upset about this but thought that I could periodically go into the bar to watch the game. Our dinner was served but a part of my order was never served to me. I asked to see the manager. The manager showed up, who to me had no managerial experience, and said that she was sorry that the remote was lost, canceled my lost order and offered me a coupon. Why would I want a coupon to another potential bad dining experience? No thank you. I will never eat there again. read more

The restaurant is a bit spendy for the food that you get. The sushi menu is great, but the prices are really high. No more turkey burgers or waffle fries. Hopefully, the new updates will bring this place back to its former glory. Bring back the turkey burger! The Texas beers are great! The decor is a bit mixed and overdone. Wasn't a fan of Zany's before their renovation. I never liked the crowded, noisy ,cluttered atmosphere. The food was fair at best and the service was sluggish. What a difference now! We had a quiet, civilized meal in the new pub side of Zany's. I had the BBQ chicken chopped salad. It was fabulous.!!!!! My husband had a bacon cheese burger that he really enjoyed. The decor has a luxurious sports bar vibe. The large TVs are easily seen, but not obnoxious. The waitstaff was attentive and pleasant. We will definately go back soon! read more

It's one of the places in Lewiston that you can get a decent meal that can be very filling and get good service. Even if they're busy they don't take too long to get to you and they're always checking (without being annoying) to see if you're doing ok. I've had a few meal here already since it's one of the few places that's not a chain and serves good meal. Everything I had thus far is good and I ALWAYS get the strawberry lemonade since it brings me back to childhood. First time here and we were not impressed. The atmosphere was cute. The food was just okay and the prices were VERY high for what we received. Presentation was seriously lacking, as well as the amount of food for the price. The salad that came with a $17.95 plate, had iceberg lettuce with a little bit of romaine, and two slices of cucumber. Great place for local and other craft beers, a diverse menu, friendly staff, and fun atmosphere. The best place to watch sports - they carry the NFL Sunday Ticket and have 24+ flat screen TVs. On the family dining side there is a train that kids can make go around the restaurant and Tuesday nights they can have a balloon animal made for them!! read more

This is typically a very busy restaurant. I've gone back despite having mediocre experiences because this valley is limited. I try to avoid happy days at all costs, but that would leave like 6 options for a sit down dinner. I most recently tried their brisket nachos in the dinning room. They were pretty okay, I would say there wasn't enough toppings, but the flavor was there. Don't order take out! I ordered the same nachos as take out, and they put some weird tough meat on them, not the same brisket I had in the restaurant. And even less toppings then before! So disappointed. read more

Excellent place to get lunch or dinner. They have a variety of choices such as Mex-Tex, seafood, steak, sandwich, or burger. Great appetizers specially their homemade chips. The Halibut fish n chips was ok but you can't expect it fresh like Seattle or the Coast. The place is clean and family friendly. Lots of retro things to look at. Let's just say, we got seated immediately, but waited forever for our waitress to arrive, when she arrived and took our drink order of three waters and lemons it took for ever to arrive. After taking our order it took 35 minutes for our order to show up. Unfortunately we ordered the protein burger only for it to arrive at the green chili cheeseburger. The waitress did not come back till probably 10 minutes after the food arrived at the table to see if everything was OK. I explained to her that we got the wrong burger and she said "I'm sorry, I just took what the cooks gave me". Being a first-hand waitress I think it was wrong of her not to have taking the blame for it and blame the cooks!!!! When she brought us our tab, she never even took the burger off the bill or gave us a discount. I asked her about it and she said "well most of our burgers are all the same price. But I could talk to my manger". And just to say the place was not busy at all. We got there around 2:30. I hope next time it will be a better experience!!!! read more

It was very busy there but the food was average, we had 4 different people who served us( the hostess, the drink gal, our waitress, and a guy who delivered our food) our waitress only came back to the table to bring us our check. Then when my husband paid our bill it took 10 minutes for her to bring the change back. Kind of odd because we had to ask where the change was. I think she thought it was all her tip.
