Wasn't impressed with my ribeye. Just so you know the restaurant is down the stairs inside the cocktail lounge. Bread was really good, salad was good along with the baked potato. Also their aluminum plate things they serve the steak on that sits in a plastic base was not good. The plate kept shifting around when I tried cutting the steak. Orders the prime rib it was slow roasted, I ordered it rare, it came out looking brown but was rare. It had a different flavor that's why 3 stars. Our server was very attentive to our party. You better be hungry and bring an appetite! You will most likely be taking home leftovers. We have been on a road trip from California through Reno up to Boise and on our way to Moscow. We stopped off at Bojack's Broiler Pit because it was getting late and we weren't sure Moscow would have anything decent open late. What a good call! At first look, I thought this was just going to be a bar with a little food service. However, we went downstairs to the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. They brought out loaves of fresh bread and butter that was AMAZINGLY good! Before the entree's come out they bring out a family style plate of good tasting spaghetti. One of my sons had the Ribeye (medium-rare) and it was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The steak was good quality and I would recommend. My other son had the Scampi in a white sauce. He said it was good, but it looked like over sized shrimp in a bowl of fettuccine. Not downgrading because my son said it was great! My daughter had the breaded prawns with Rice. It looked pretty basic, but my girl is pretty picky and she finished her plate. My wife and I split the Prime Rib with Potato. It was a good call since we had three loaves of bread and butter, and a big plate of spaghetti. Plus, we had the house salad with homemade Blue Cheese salad, and I added a cup of the French Onion soup. Another good call, because I love a good French Onion soup. It didn't have the cheese covering the top of the cup, but rather big chunks of the cheese down inside. We paired it with Prime Rib with a local Merlot, Coldwater Canyon. It was fantastic! Tried to buy a couple bottles, but they can't sell them without opening them (DANG IT). The service front the staff was worthy of six stars! Always paying attention to water running low, refill on wine, plates on and off the table and when the Spaghetti came, the server skillfully dished up perfect neat portions for each of us. The whole family agreed this place gets five stars. Not expecting much and Bojacks over delivered. I highly recommend this place if you are passing through or staying in the area. So DISAPPOINTED.. used to ALWAYS go here for special occasions...went in last night for, what I remember as the best atmosphere and dinner EVER, What happened to the table cloths, cloth napkins, and candles? Alfredo was chunky, prime rib was tough and stringy.. Green salad was a pile of lettuce and a few croutons... just sad, no upgrades. only neglect.. . paper placemats, flimsy silverware... outdated everything .. would love to see nostalgia and pride brought back!! read more

August 26, 2025. My daughter and I went here for the first time to have dinner. We were treated awful by the bar waitress and she would not let my daughter get a word in because she kept cutting her off. I am disabled and crippled and we did not know that the dining room was down stairs of which I cannot walk up or down them. The waitress from the dining room came up and handed us our menu and told of the specials of the night. The bar waitress came to take our order and we were told by her that we could not have the specials because we were eating upstairs. It didn't matter that I was a senior and disabled, and if we wanted the specials, we would have to go downstairs of which I was not physically able. The waitress was past rude, insulting, and treated us like we were dirt. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Senior Disability and Discrimination Association. That rude waitress needs to be fired. read more

Nice late night stop after taking in some cool live jazz at the winery. I was greeted by a couple of very nicer servers who directed me to the women's restroom, no problem! Was hoping to get a prime rib the night I went but sold out so I settle for fish and chips. They were tasty and came with average french fries. Being from out of town, we didn't know the places to eat. A friend referred us to Bojacks. They forewarned us about how the place is set up. You enter through the bar upstairs, down the staircase into the dining area. They opened at 5 PM and since we were hungry early we decided to go. I'm glad we did. By the end of our dinner the place was packed by 6 PM. I had the steak bites with the creamy scampi, and hubby had the gigantic prime rib. The loaded baked potatoes, oh my goodness, they were fabulous ! The complementary spaghetti was good too and a fun touch to the meal. I am not a French onion soup person, but their soup changed my mind on that! All the servers are extremely attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. Four of us had dinner there last night about six o'clock. The service was great but the meal not so much. The wives both ordered the halibut and the husbands both ordered the regular cut prime rib, rare and medium rare. Both ladies said their halibut was overcooked, dry, while the prime rib was just the way we requested it but it had absolutely zero seasoning. it had absolutely no taste and neither the horseradish or the au jus could help give it any flavor. We went to Bojack's for a Holiday get together with four other couples. It had been quite a while since I had eaten there. They are famous in town for their Bite Size Steak. This is a Lewiston specialty. Most places across the country have never heard of it. My Wife ordered the Bite Size cooked medium and Shrimp Scampi with a salad and a baked potato. I ordered the Bite Size Steak cooked medium rare with a salad and a baked potato. They bring out mini loaves of bread with butter before your meal. Then they give you spaghetti if you wish as well. My wife and I opted not to eat that because we didn't want to be full before our meal. The service was very good. We always had a drink in front of us and multiple waitresses took care of our table. Everything was excellent. It was a very generous serving of Bite Size Steak. They were seasoned nicely and mine were very tender. I would recommend Medium Rare over Medium after trying some of my Wife's. They brought us plenty of butter, sour cream, and bacon bits for our potato. Overall it was a great dinner and I'm looking forward to my next time eating there. read more

It's pretty unusual for a restaurant to make a profit and stay in business for the first year; Bojack's has been in business for 70+ years! Wow. That's saying something. Really. This was my first visit, despite the fact that I'm a U of I grad and we have family we visit in Lewiston on a fairly regular basis. I'm very glad to have experienced this landmark restaurant. Overall, the food was very good. The complimentary bread and spaghetti was very tasty. The wine/beer selection was very nice and the dinner salad was good. The French onion soup, while a unique touch was nice, it was super salty and the cheese pretty weird. I think they used a salty bouillon and pre-grated cheese that doesn't like to melt. Regardless, I enjoyed a few tastes. The steak bites were delicious, tender, well seasoned and cooked exactly to my liking. The shrimp were tasty, but confusing what they called them. Apparently shrimp in a cream sauce is scampi, shrimp deep fried are prawns and shrimp sautéed in oil, garlic and lemon are shrimp. Not a true definition of the difference between shrimp, prawns and scampi, but all three varieties were yummy and not too overdone. Overall the meal was great, the service spot on and gracious. The enamel words "the broiler pit" suggested that he may need to work his way through the crowded bar and into the basement. He did so, with a girlfriend and her mother following him. The basement is a great contrast to upstairs ruckus filled bar. This subterranean diner was peaceful and reserved. He sat down with his girlfriend and mother for a delightful meal of bite sized steak. It is a meal consisting of bite sized portions of steak that have been deep fat fried. In addition to the steak, the waitress mixed and served a spaghetti. Each guest received a portion. The waitress looked pained to be stuck with the task. The man and his girlfriend felt sorry for her. To relieve the stress of meeting his girlfriend's mother for the first time, the man began drinking pints of Budweiser beer. The decor is a little shabby but the food was good and the waitress was good. They were crazy busy and training a new cook. The spaghetti sauce was a little spicy for my taste but it wasn't bad. The pasta was a perfect al dente. My meat was good and my husband's rib eye, while over cooked had excellent flavor. I was tickled with happiness leaving this place. First of all, they bring a whole mini loaf of bread with butter. Then, they bring you a giant bowl of spaghetti that is big enough for you to share as a meal. Every meal comes with soup or salad and a side. I got the French onion soup and it was delicious! We heard about the little bites of steak, so of course we had to try them. They're little deep fried bites of steak. We got the prime rib and it was perfectly cooked! Honestly, the best surprise we got was when our server brought our check. She dropped off these little packages that I thought were mint toothpicks. Best steak in town, bar none. There are other places that come very close. I think the cook might be telepathic, because they cook the steak bites to perfection. The spaghetti has this wonderful peppery flavor that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. I need to make a trip down there this coming weekend for some! The downstairs access is a bit tough for my folks, but the staff will deliver to the upper level if you just ask. I grew up in Lewiston and never bothered to go to Bojack's until I was in my mid 40s and living in the Seattle area. I was home for a visit and mentioned to my parents that we should go. We weren't disappointed and had plenty of food to take home for a delicious lunch the next day. The French Onion soup is tops in my book too. Don't listen to the picky naysayers, if you like awesome spaghetti alone, it's worth the trip down. read more

To provide proper context, I should state that I don't live in the local area and that I eat out all over Washington, Idaho, and Oregon as I travel extensively for work. I wanted to make that clear, because if you live in the area, it's quite possible that this is one of the better options in town. This is easily the worst steak I have ever eaten. It's as though they don't understand that they are allowed to use salt and pepper or any other spices. They offered au jus, horse radish, ketchup, Heinz and A-1 BBQ sauce. Even after drowning the bland flesh in the strongest BBQ sauce, I couldn't bring myself to swallow. The service was great but the food was terrible. The silverware is cheap and thin. The restaurant smelled of smoke and was musty. The restaurant sits in the basement with a dirty bar up top that you must walk through to enter the restaurant. The complimentary spaghetti and sauce was gross. I will never return and I would consider something different if I were you. read more
