YELPERS sent me here (had some good reviews) I was not impressed at all with the food but the service made up for the "meh" they were out of salmon, out of other items. To be fair it was "family weekend" in Pullman so being short-staffed everywhere was the norm. I did give 4-stars for the menu items we did get to eat (sweet potato fries, burger and such ... I'd come back and give it a 2nd try because like I said, the staff is wonderful here and very accommodating and they made very good alcoholic drinks too. read more

We were here last night and it was fantastic! The bar severs were friendly and mixed up some great specialty cocktails. Burger was amazing and the sweet potatoe fries were perfectly fried and salted. We had the churros for dessert and being from So Cal I have had plenty of churros and these were the BOMB! I was hesitant at first as they were highly spicy, but the balance of sweet and spice was perfect. We love this place for our date night! The chef and his team are very friendly, professional and the service is great. I usually get the salad with the black bean burger or the veggie burger. I am so glad they offer vegan options and are very accommodating. read more

Came through to watch post season playoff Mariners game. Chicken wings were fire bartender was OK, but this was a maker break game and the owner of the bar and restaurant. Let us all stay and watch the game which was 15 innings. (Mariners won!) everyone was super friendly and really recommend this place. Felt like home away from home! read more

We stopped in here for lunch today, which was our first visit to Wild Ember Kitchen. The owner did an exellent job of renovating the building, which used to be a bank (I think). Everything looks new. The service was okay, but bordered on the slow side. The restaurant was not busy, so I can find no reason to give 5 stars for having to wait 10 minutes for a server to bring us menus and take our order. It took another 20 minutes for our food to come out of the kitchen when there was only ONE other table seated and already eating their food. I ordered the Caesar Salad with the addition of Salmon. The salad had the right about of dressing, and they were generous with the croutons and parmesan cheese. The problem was that the salmon was burnt to a crisp on the thin end, and the cook didn't bother with the 5 seconds it would have taken to remove the skin from the fillet. My husband ordered the Steak & Blue Cheese Salad and had the foresight to ask for some salad dressing on the side - had he not asked, it would have only had a drizzle of balsamic glaze over the steak and the salad would have been dry (not making this up, this is according to our server). The other issue has to do with the cleanliness of the tables. We were seated next to a table that had been cleared, but had remnants of food on the table. It was like that when we sat down and wasn't addressed until someone who worked there noticed me taking a picture of it. It would have taken less than a minute for someone to wipe down the table instead of forgetting about it for over a half hour. Bottom line, the food makes it worth trying Wild Ember again. I just hope that they pay attention to cleaning as time marches on. read more

Sat in the bar and our waitress was great. Super friendly and made an awesome recommendation on the pulled pork tacos. Right amount for heat to flavor ratio. My wife had the cheeseburger and gave me a taste. Was delish for sure! Neat ambiance and a great addition to downtown colfax. read more

We were seated immediately but no one came by or offered us anything to drink until the rest of our party showed up about 10 minutes later. The drinks and food were very slow to come out each time. We seemed to have request every... single... basic item... dipping sauces, silverware for a salad, napkins, refills. Absolutely no anticipating our table's needs. There were toddlers out of the way of the walking traffic, but watching noisy cartoons behind a back counter area of the restaurant? Food was lukewarm when we got it. We decided to go back and give this restaurant another try, the first time was when it first opened was not great and we were disappointed. We are glad we did, the menu has changed, food and drinks were excellent. I had the pork belly tacos and will definitely go back for them again. it's also great to have many gluten free options available since having celiac makes eating out difficult. We arrived around 7:00 got seated right away had to wait a bit for a waitress to come over but when she did we ordered drinks and food. The restaurant was about half full. After we were seated an had ordered 4 tables arrived and were seated. Of the tables seated after us got their food before us and 2 of them finished paid and left before we ever got our food! The food was good but It really doesn't matter if you have good food or not if you have to wait over an hour to get it! Very disappointed! read more

We were seated fairly quickly. Ordered drinks and food at the same time. Drinks took awhile to come out but not as long as the food. Waited over an hour for our food. Everyone who came in after us was being served before us with a couple of tables even getting their bill and leaving before we got our food. We were just about ready to pay for the drinks and leave. When the food did come out one of the items was incorrect and needed to be sent back. Food tasted good but seemed to be a bit on the pricey side for just a burger. Dining area is nice. Local owners opened a Fantastic restaurant! Where to start... Mojito was light and refreshing stayed for dinner. I had the Wild Embers burger and my husband had a plain cheeseburger the waitress dubbed the "Whitman county burger". We both Loved our food!!!! Best food we have had in our travels across the United States and Canada in the last 2 weeks. You have to eat here and enjoy their beverages also. Took over an hour for 1 drink. We'll over an hour and a half for food. Service is horrible, waiters more focused on them self's then and the people at the bar... Watched 5 different tables get served well before my table with drinks and food before I could order food or another drink. The owner is throwing dips in his mouth while standing around customers.. they don't serve dinner every night only sandwiches. You only get 4 items to choose from for your "dinner" and some appetizer items. Definitely could do better.. Definitely expensive for a "fancy" restaurant to have chefs that never had any experience in fine dining. If you burn a burger your not qualified to be a chef..probably should have some culinary background and not a fast food background.
