If I could assign this location a zero rating, I would do so without hesitation. The manager, or the individual with the significant attitude (characterized by brown short hair, a larger build, and a rude demeanor), must be removed immediately. How is the owner, rude to paying customers, disrespectful, and homophobic? My partner and I, along with our children, visit this establishment at least four to five times a week. To be subjected to such disrespect every time we visit, especially when the manager is the one I am talking about here. He has made us reconsider our patronage of this company. Please address this issue promptly. If the manager's behavior does change, or if he is replaced, we may reconsider returning. I went on Sunday after opening, around 11. We went through the drive through since we were hungry and needed something quick. I got the super deluxe, and we got the grand. Honestly it was not my favorite, but filled me up enough. It tastes like something you can quickly make at home. It's alright for a burger. Just super under seasoned and the patties are super small. I had ordered a milkshake, and when we pulled up to the window the worker insisted that we had ordered two, and when I said I only ordered one he responded with "no you ordered two but whatever", in an awful tone. Not the most exciting burger I've ever had. I remember loving Zips when I was a child. We would grab garden/salad burgers (used to be a nice large burger filled with veggies and some sort of sauce) before a swim meet on the way into Spokane. I had some pretty high expectations when we dropped by for dinner. My husband and I ended up paying about $20 for a drink, onion rings, and two burgers. I'm not sure how it was that expensive, but that's almost the price of high-end fancy burgers in big cities, so you'd think you would get a lot for that amount of money. My burger ended up being small and simple, with minimal vegetables and some basic sauces. The onion rings were mostly the fried material on the outside, and the burger was not extremely satisfying. More of a fast-food type place than I remembered. When there are options like In+Out for the same price, I'm not sure I'd come back to Zips. read more

Well, I don't like leaving reviews like this, but.... when you mess with my mom... I live in Cheney, parents (Dad is 77, Mom is 78) live in Lewiston. We wanted to meet for lunch somewhere in between. I'd had acceptable experience here before and it's an obvious landmark, so I suggested it. Parents got there at 11 on the dot (Dad texted me when they were there), which is their posted opening time on Google and everywhere else I was able to see (they did not have hours posted on the door). The doors were still locked. They witnessed two employees enter through the back at 1104 (mom was watching closely). I arrived at 1105 and approached Mom and Dad's car. Mom said she didn't want to get out of the car because she needed to use the restroom really badly, and said that she hadn't seen anyone unlock the doors yet. We saw the two employees in there, one was sitting down the chairs, the other was working on the register, I'm guessing starting the day in their system. Seeing this, we thought they were getting ready to open up and they'd just had a late start. All, good that stuff happens. Except when we approached the door, the person sitting down chairs walked right by the door and completely ignored us. We stood there for a couple of minutes, still being ignored. I approached the window and addressed the person on the register and said "Hi, can she just use the restroom (pointing to Mom)? we can then wait. He shrugged his shoulders and pointed to the "closed" sign. I said, "your web page says that you open at 11." I again looked for posted hours, finding none. He clearly cared zero about us and went back to ignoring me. This was probably 10-15 past 11. Thankfully Mom was able to get across the street to the Subway, where we enjoyed fantastic service and good food. Can't believe they were that completely apathetic to a 78 year old woman who clearly isn't particularly mobile. read more

I love Zip's! The one in Moscow has consistently good food, good deals, and good service. So I was shocked to go to the Colfax one and have it suck so hard. First off, the floor is so greasy, that it is a serious slipping hazard. Then, you approach the counter and you are greeted with a tip bucket. Wait, what?? This is a fast food place and they have the audacity to expect tips? Yeah, no. Finally, the food is just not as good as the Moscow location. The buns seem lower quality and the Papa Joes don't taste as good. I've eaten there twice in the past few months and both times it was disappointing. Colfax used to have three fast food places and have lost two of them in the last few years. No idea what is going on. Oh, and don't stop at Eddie's Chinese. Gross in every way. read more

Creepy, only three reviews and TWO are from people named Robert S. Anyway, I had never heard of Zips before a work trip to Pullman Washington. We stopped in here for some sustenance after longish day traveling from Reno. I noticed that they had a Sunday chicken dinner special of 3 chicken tenders soda and some fries for $3.49!! Yes I said $3.49! They may not have this for long, but they had it the day I went. The food was standard drive-in food. Nothing to complain about or rave about, but the price make the normally 3.5 stars round up to 4 stars. My coworkers seemed to like their food too, with only a head scratch at the strange bun it was served on. I've stopped at the Colfax Zips every now and then on trips to Spokane and back for a couple of decades. Food has always been the same as other Zips and staff was friendly. Stopped yesterday and about fell down walking in the front door due to a super slippery tile floor coated in what felt like cooking oil and soap. No caution sign, either. I barely make it to the counter and am greeted by a sour-faced middle-aged woman and giant tip jar on the counter. Seriously? It's a fast food place. What exactly do you want to be tipped for? For doing your job? I thought maybe it was put there by rebellious employees but when I paid with my debit card, I had to sign it and the receipt had a "tip" section. Are you freaking kidding me? Then I get my order and a counter person walked the 20' and brought it to my table. I guess that's why they want to be tipped. Food was OK but my fries were way, way oversalted. They should change their name to Zip, which is how much their food is worth... Paid $15 and change for a bacon burger, "fries", a chocolate "milkshake" and a kids strawberry "milkshake." The strawberry shake tasted like kids medicine. The stuff they used for ice cream was not ice cream, it was crunchy/gritty. The burger was cold. Well had to list this place for them as the place didn't exist till I found it I couldn't find it on Zip's web page it was just a hidden little gem or Burger shop as it may be most of these are franchises and this one is not up to par with the rest of the Zips Family as I have eaten at 2 different Zips in Spokane I know the food could of been better Now the Burger I had was Damn tasty I had the Bulldog wonder what neighboring college helped in that name oh yeah Pullman it was a 1/2 lb burger with 2 patties bacon, ham and a whole damn salad on a square bun, with some tasty sauce it is filling for sure they have deep fried mushrooms too a plus in my book but the fries were undercooked, and the gurl out front waiting to start work and just texting the world didn't make it a more enjoyable meal I will try again I'm sure everyone has a off night on the plus side the food was fast and hot and the drive threw was busy read more

Zips is what it is. And it's the only drive-thru in the area, so they're going to have customers no matter what. But I had the WORST customer service experience there that I've had maybe ever. Apparently my card didn't swipe correctly, didn't go through, whatever. So instead of saying that, the guy demanded I give him back my card. I had been given a slip of paper with my total that seemed like it could be a receipt. It wasn't, which is fine. But when I questioned it, looking for clarification, the man got flat out angry. His tone immediately became condescending and his demeanor went from bored to anger in about 2 seconds. He was so angry that I wanted to know why he was demanding I give him my card! It's not acceptable to treat customers that way. Period. The teenagers that get hired might make mistakes, but I've never had one treat me as inferior or stupid as this man did. The people are slow, never ready to serve, always close and shut down before advertised hours, they ignore you when you do show up at 8:30 pm and their for says open until 9 pm. The is not worth the wait, the trouble it is to get into the restaurant etc. If their service was better, (alot better) then it might be worth stopping in for their subpar food. There are many other options at the other end of town, or even better just 25 minutes up the road in Pullman. Don't bother stopping. We live right behind this establishment and continue to give these people a chance, if this change I will update this review. read more
