As a returning customer, this time I finally remembered to take photos of the food at The Land! I came on a Tuesday evening for their Taco Tuesday special and ordered the taco combo -- the flavor was just as amazing as always. My favorite salad and chicken tenders never disappoint either. Before coming here, I actually drove around the area for quite a while trying to find somewhere to enjoy dinner, but after looking at several places, I still ended up choosing The Land because I knew it would not disappoint me. And of course, the cocktails were excellent too. I had a really difficult day that day, but after a good meal here, my mood became so much better. I left feeling relaxed, recharged, and happy again. Also, thank you to the lovely girl who welcomed us so warmly. I'm sorry I didn't fully remember your name, but I hope to see you again soon. And as always, I highly recommend Andrew's cocktails. You can truly tell he takes cocktail making seriously. The flavors are balanced beautifully -- the fresh mint aroma was perfectly infused into the drink, the alcohol taste was incredibly smooth, and the strength was just right for that relaxed, slightly tipsy feeling. read more

Spacious spot, we came in early afternoon on the weekend. I can only image how fun this place would be at night! Nachos and fries were fine, your typical bar food. It hit the spot as the group was super hungry, but it did feel like half the condiments came from a can. Can't expect much more from a college town restaurant! We got some drinks, super fairly priced!! Everyone got the smash burger, our favorite part of the meal. It was demolished!! read more

Excellent bar in Pullman. It's larger inside than I expected. This bar probably has the best whiskey selection in Pullman with reasonable prices. You can select your own music via Ami play which was nice. We met the owner and spent the afternoon talking with him and enjoying some great drinks. We will definitely be back. read more

We went in for dinner around 9 PM after traveling all day and were greeted by the bartender who said, "there's no more table service -- you have to walk up and order at the bar." When we asked for menus, she just pointed and said, "they're over there." After grabbing the sticky, dirty menus, we decided on the grilled cheese and the Asian salad. The chicken on the salad came out cold, and the "grilled cheese" was cold too -- stale bread and rubbery cheese. I honestly don't know how you mess up a grilled cheese sandwich. I wouldn't have even let my dog eat that. The drinks weren't any better. One was so sour it was undrinkable, and the Michelada I ordered with Michelob and Clamato came out tasting like Modelo and mystery mix -- absolutely awful. Service was terrible. Stopped here to pick up some dinner because of the great reviews. Immediately when I walked in the staff was super friendly. They were running a few mins late and offered me a soda while I waited, that was super nice of them. I ordered the smash burger with fries and my goodness the burger was soooo good. It was just a tiny bit saltier than I personally would have liked. The fries were also crunchy and tasty. Very nice ambiance with a separate room for darts and billiards. Definitely a great spot to hangout with friends. Will definitely be back. There were also two little parking lots so come early and you'll get a parking spot. read more

Yesterday was my 21st birthday, I was extremely disappointed when the bartender basically kicked us out. Said they weren't going to be making anymore food despite it only being 9:30 when they close at midnight. Didn't offer any sort of service or menu just gave me a birthday drink and pushed us on our way(purely by his actions and the way he was talking) was mocking my boyfriend and I with the people at the opposite side of the bar. Just extremely un friendly so I heavily recommended you avoid here, at least after 9pm on weekdays. read more

We went for lunch and the food was amazing and the owner was super nice! Parking is tight but the food and atmosphere is worth it!

I Have only been there twice so far with my girlfriend. But in my two experiences having both takeout and dine-in, we have been satisfied two-for-two. The service was very spontaneous and efficient. We only had to wait a total of 20 minutes from when we sat down, to when our food arrived. The servers were always friendly and fast but never in a rude way. They passed by our table around every 10 minutes to make sure everything was going well. The menu is a bit small but it makes up for it with the quality of it's contents. The patties of the smash burgers are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with plenty of flavor. The chicken sandwich is thick and juicy with a well seasoned breading. The one thing we noticed is that both of our fried were a but limp and soft, I personally like my fried to be crispy and crunchy. I'll be looking forward to trying the other options on the menu on future visits. The setting is very lively. When we dined in, the place was humming with chatter, people having a good time, enjoying food. And the booths were nice and comfortable. They also provided pool tables but they are often occupied already. Though I imagine it can get pretty packed during specific weekends and finding a spot to sit could be stressful. There are not a lot of big tables so bringing a party of more than five would be a bit of a challenge. I have a family of five so I'm not sure if I could be able to bring them to The Land. Overall, I would definitely recommend The Land as for a spot for a date night, or going out with friends. The service is great, the food (that I have tried so far) is delicious, and the mood is enjoyable. We were on our way back to the Seattle area from Lewiston, ID, when we decided to make a stop in Pullman. it was a very hot day, and we were looking for a place where we could eat outside with our dog (it was Sunday, August 11th, 1024). South Fork, our original stop, was closed due to a power outage, so we decided to try The Land. I asked if we could eat with the dog, not only did they say yes, but the man at the bar was so friendly! Remember, this is the day that families were taking the students back to campus. I'm sure eating spots had been mobbed all weekend. The bartender set up a table and we enjoyed an Asian salad. It made for a great afternoon. We found this place almost by accident when for a place to get some lunch before a Cougar basketball game. What a cool find! The menu had a good variety. I had a spicy chicken sandwich. But this was no ordinary chicken. It was really good fried chicken, didn't even need the sandwich. Looks like a full bar. I just had ice tea. The service was great and it was not real busy. After quietly shuttering its doors sometime last year without notice, the Zzu was sold, renamed, renovated, and reinvigorated. The former Zzu is now The Land. Aside from most of the layout and some kept furniture pieces, this new bar is vastly improved from its old self. Gone is the terrible food and declining quality of everything. The Land's improvements are exactly what the old Zzu was lacking. I ordered the Cheeseburger. The bun was toasted and delicious. The cheese melty. The burger was juicy. The only two things that I did not like were the pickles though that is just taste preference and the tomato did not have the core cut out. Otherwise, a really solid, delicious burger that I will definitely be back for. I was especially happy with the fries. The seasoning on top was A-MAZING! I did not need any ketchup to enhance the flavor. The flavor was all there. There was a $2 Margarita special that I could not pass up trying. For $2, not bad. It tasted like a decent enough pour. Accessibility: The Land is kind of accessible. As far as I can remember, there is only one accessible parking spot out front. All the tables inside are either high tables and chairs with no arms or booths with a step up. There is only one low table and chairs with no arms in the back. Those table and chairs are leftovers and not new like the booths. The washrooms are accessible and have grab bars. The metal doors can easily smash your hands (I have done it several times..), so be careful. Maneuvering around could be a little tight because tables are closer together now. The lighting is good and was not an issue when we were there. The noise level was okay though it was an issue at times. read more

Pandemic rating of five masks! Ordered the Swiss bacon mushroom burger and carne asada fries. Solid SBMB! This is great "coat the stomach" prior to pre-gaming before going out for the night. I would solidly recommend this burger as hangover foo. The carne asada was delicious ! We would have preferred the carne asada over crispy fries or a baked potato, but still really good and fresh slaw, veg and sauce made the dish bright with fresh veg flavor. First off, this is a popular place with limited parking. Second, we went during family weekend so it was extra busy. We got lucky and a table opened up right by the entrance so we quickly snagged it. The atmosphere was lively and the staff was kind and attentive. I wish I had taken pics of the food which was good, not spectacular but definitely hit the spot.
