Overall the atmosphere felt a little dingy, could use a good head to toe clean and remodel but in this day and age it's surprising most businesses in Washington can survive. We got the miso soup, edamame, and three sushi rolls and the price was just about right. I would not recommend this place to vegetarians. There are sushi and salad options available. We had the Tiger roll (with eel, crab, shrimp), shrimp noodles and chicken bulgogi. Great location for this yummy Asian flare restaurant. Welcoming decor and the hostess/waitress/owner was very kind and kept us laughing. I ordered the Chicken Bulgogi Bento Box. The chicken had a nice spicy kick to it, tempura shrimp and veggies were yummy, salad was refreshing, and the California rolls were a little stale. The fish here was delicious! I had been craving sushi and had some from another restaurant in town, but it did not satisfy me so I got some here and boy was it worth it. The staff was supremely nice, happy to oblige my request for an obscene amount of wasabi, service was super quick (I ordered for pick up over the phone), and the place was super cute. Might be a little dated but it was super charming nonetheless, and their food blew the other sushi I had out of the water. I got the Marine Boy roll, and some Tamago Ngiri, and both were so delicious I went back in a few days and had it again (plus a 911 roll). The Ngiri was a larger portion than you would get at most places, which was another pleasant surprise. I would've gone a third time if I hadn't needed to leave town, so I highly recommend this spot! read more

I love this place, period. I've heard things about Pullman not having good sushi, but this is an amazing sushi place. The sushi is a good price, the staff is amazing and friendly, and the sushi is amazing. I get the same thing every time, I've become a regular. The women in there will always make the stay so much better, as they're such a positive energy you can't get enough of the customer service. My experience at this restaurant was beyond unacceptable due to the appalling behavior of one particular waitress. Despite the restaurant being practically empty, with only two other guests besides us, the waitress acted as though she was overwhelmed and seemed more interested in getting rid of us than providing any semblance of decent service. From the start, she was rude and dismissive, making what should have been a relaxing meal completely uncomfortable. To top it all off, at the begging point during our visit, my friends were just talking about something as a group, she accused that we're having trouble ordering and she then randomly started speaking to us in Spanish even though none of us had spoken a word of Spanish to her because she thought we were confused but yeah girl we're confused that you're talking about something that we're not talking about in the first place. Racist much? Shortly after telling us we could pay at the front, she aggressively slammed the check down on our table without another word, a completely unnecessary and hostile gesture. Things escalated even further when, after we left, she ran after us into the parking lot, demanding to know why we hadn't tipped more. One of my friends had already tipped, but apparently that wasn't good enough for her. When another friend calmly reminded her that tipping is optional, the waitress launched into an unhinged, ten-minute tirade about how we should be paying her and her coworkers a livable wage. This behavior was not only highly unprofessional but entirely inappropriate for someone in the service industry. To make matters worse, during her rant, she made an absolutely disgusting comment about my friend's appearance, essentially fat-shaming her. Let me be clear: my friend is not overweight at all--she's a small at Victoria's Secret. This vile, personal attack had no place in any situation, let alone from someone whose job is to serve customers. We always tip when the service is good, but this time the service was not only bad--it was downright hostile and offensive. Even though we left a tip, the fact that this waitress felt entitled to more money and chased us down in public is disgraceful. There's no excuse for this kind of behavior, and it made us feel harassed and unsafe. Also my friends came here two days prior and had the very nice guy waitress who was so friendly and a great waitress and they both tipped. This lady didn't get a tip because she lacked basic human interaction or human decency. If you value respect and professionalism, avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of other restaurants in town where you'll be treated like a human being rather than subjected to verbal abuse, fat-shaming, and harassment over tipping. You're better off going to Rosauers or Safeway for sushi, where you won't be chased down in the parking lot or insulted by the staff. read more

Our college student recommended we go here for dinner, and it was a great choice. The staff is fun, kind and helpful. They have a big selection of Japanese and Korean food. My wife and son got bento boxes and I got teriyaki beef. Everything was delicious! We would absolutely go here again. read more

Took Grandson here for dinner. Good service Food was fresh and tasty. GS had the beef bulgogi. It came with rice and three small servings of potato salad, kimchi, pickled vegetables. He really liked it and had some left for take out. Hubby and I had a cherry blossom roll and super ninja roll. Both were fresh made and tasty. (Ate to fast to get pictures). We also had calamari ring (8 pieces of calamari, kind of expensive) and gyoza. Both tasty. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. A like pricey but would recommend this restaurant. read more

Came here over break so it was super dead but the service was pretty good considering we were the only ones in there. We got the California roll, salmon roll, and the red dragon roll. It was all very good quality sushi and I would definitely come back here, possibly the best sushi in the area. This is our go to place in Pullman for sushi or Korean. We almost always get the same things, super ninja roll, double crunch, roll, rockstar roll, and lion king roll. All of these have been extremely fresh and excellent every time, even when we do takeout. When we do go to the restaurant, the owner always greets us with a smile, and knows us by name. We have also experimented with the Bulgogi Bento box, and other ones as well. All of them have been extremely tasty. This restaurant is a gem in this town and the nice thing is you can almost always get a table. It was too bad when they got rid of their cook your own meat at the table barbecue options, those were always fun to do. read more

I will start by saying the sushi was very good. The fish was fresh and tasty. HOWEVER: The sushi was ready to go and sat on the counter for about ten minutes before finally being brought over to us. In that time we saw several flies on the food. We were given the wrong roll and then the waitress got annoyed when we said it was incorrect. She was trying to have us keep it and we said we didn't want it because it had shrimp tempera (Charlie's). We told her we wanted the roll we actually ordered (cherry blossom) She brought the correct roll later WITH shrimp tempura even though it wasn't supposed to have it. Plus, there was no sauce on the rolls when they were supposed to have it. We were charged full price for the Charlie's roll plus an addition $4 to pay the difference despite a screw up on their part. In addition, the waitress was taking the plates before we had even finished the sushi on it and had us scrape the remainder onto our miniature plates (that we had to grab ourselves as we weren't given them) read more

We decided to take Tokyo Seoul to-go after a long day's work in the sun. Coming from the Bay Area in CA, we wanted some Korean food, and low and behold we were smitten with the idea that there was a Korean and a Japanese fusion restaurant in this college town?! Bingo! We got the Dol BiBimBop (Beef) and Spicy Beef BiBimBop. Unfortunately, the BiBimBops didn't come in a hot stone (makes sense since it was to-go), but there weren't as many vegetables as expected either other than grilled onions. Other than that though, the food was solid and reminded us of the Korean food we were craving at the time and gave us the full stomachs to put us down for the night. The staff was also really cordial and provided more than enough napkins and utensils, which was awesome without having to ask. Easily one of my favorite, if not my favorite spot for dinner in Pullman! I came here the first time because it was recommended by a friend, but I kept coming back because of the consistent and good quality food they put out. My personal favorite is the chicken katsu (they do it better than anybody around), and I would definitely recommend a bento box dinner for anyone trying this place out for the first time. I recently tried a katsu donburi bowl, and I'm so glad I did! They have great appetizers and a huge list of sushi rolls. The prices are fair, especially given our current economy, and the staff has always been incredibly friendly - even during a rush. Overall, I love this place. You will too!
